I've used Del's for years along with every other reputable shop or dealership in town. They know what they are doing and I have never had to warranty anything they have worked on. I can't say the same for the few others that I tried before using Del's exclusively. You get what you pay for and when it means 16 hours labor to do it again I'm definitely using the shop that's had a 100% success rate.

Dave was so helpful in explaining everything along the way while rebuilding my cylinder head. This was especially nice, while I do all of my car repairs myself, I don't do precision machine work, so he guided me through the process, and made suggestions for reassembly etc.

Del's Auto is an amazing little machine shop. I spoke with Dave there. I sent my B16A2 (Honda Engine) to them for a complete refresh (Head and Block). They were able to get the job done in an extremely fast manner. Great communication and they are always helpful if you have questions about rebuilding the engine. They offer a service of assembling the bottom end for a very affordable price. I would highly recommend Del's for your automotive machining needs. Engines, brake rotors, flywheels, stripped bolt holes.. you name it. Very reasonable prices.

Let me start by saying I've been around the auto repair business my entire life. In the time I've been in this industry many of the machine shops in the areas we have had our shops have closed down. It has always been really difficult to find a place that you can trust to do the job correctly, let alone one with an acceptable turn-around time. When my go-to shop in the East Bay closed I was wondering if I'd ever find another shop that was any good. Another issue I have seen is that alot of machine shops are almost entirely SBC-centric, and if you bring them something from a Honda or Subaru they're just kind of out of their element. Anyways, I found Del's last year and since then they've built three cylinder heads for me. Dave the owner is honest, up front about what it will cost to do it right, and charges a very fair price. The workmanship by his shop is super clean, and they can also perform repairs that other shops cannot. It's a generational family business that's been around longer than most reading this have been alive. I drive 40 miles each way to bring work to Del's, and believe it or not I'm happy to do it. Can't say enough about how great this shop is, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Del's has been issuing perfect machine work for the past 15 years for me. About 12 years ago i heard a customer paid $750 for a simple cylinder head job and thats when i realized the difference. Its worth it when you can guaruntee that your job goes perfectly here we are 12 years later and the car runs as perfect as it did coming home from the dealership. Del's is about quality. And thats all that matters.

I always used this place for machine work in the past and they did great. No complaints. Thats why I give 5 stars in case they are still in business and just temporarilly closed...recently I called and got no answer and drove down there during business hours and it was locked up. So not sure if they are still open but long story short I had a cylinder head I was 90% sure was cracked and leaking coolant. I took it to the machine shop on fair oaks since dels was closed and had it pressured tested and he said it was good....then I got a second opinion from the carquest machine shop on Fee drive. Explained the situation to Scott and he tested it same day and found it was cracked and sent video and pictures...so anyone looking for the same quality work as Dels was I highly recommend going to the carquest on Fee. Just my .02 cents

I've had great recommendations on this shop so I brought in my cylinder head for a Toyota 22RE engine to be inspected after the head gasket failed. It turns out it was a cheap/low quality head gasket that was used by the company that rebuilt the motor. The cylinder head was thoroughly tested and checked out fine. They also worked on an original intake manifold that had stripped threads on one of the ports for a cold start fuel injector. Rich redid the threads and extracted a broken bolt. Both times he did a fantastic job and explained everything well. Rich and his son Ramon are very knowledgeable when it comes to Toyotas, especially the 22RE. I've seen Rich advising other customers and each time he gave them honest and helpful advice. He's earned my trust and I'm happy to make the drive all the way from Fairfield any time I need machine shop work. Thanks again for your great work that has my 22RE Toyota Pickup running strong!
