For me guest service is everything. It had been a while since I have bought a new car from the dealership. There’s no shortage of vehicles out there so this purchase really hinged on the service and how I’m treated. And to my delight Ernesto hit it out of the park! Approximately the first week of February 2026 I left my 2015 Corvette in the hands of service writer Shannon Loomis to get some warranty work done. Shannon is by far the best service writer I have ever dealt with when needing work done on one of my vehicles. She is very professional, courteous, and communicates better than anyone I have ever dealt with. I will never deal with anyone other than Shannon to get work done on any of my vehicles. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Service Team at Dimmitt Chevrolet—especially Service Manager Edwin and Service Advisor Shannon. Before I was even a customer, Edwin spent multiple calls walking me through the issues with my Tahoe. He was patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. When I arrived, Shannon matched that same warmth and professionalism. Facing the need for a new engine on a 5‑year‑old vehicle was stressful, but she was kind, informative, and empathetic from the very beginning. Both Edwin and Shannon went WAY above and beyond, working with Dimmitt and GM to help bring my costs down to a manageable level. Once we moved forward, they completed the engine replacement in about three days—fast, efficient, and with excellent communication the entire time. I wish I could say my experience with Dimitt Chevy of Clearwater was a good one, but it was anything but. I purchased a brand-new 2025 Chevy Trax from them — it had just 120 miles on it when I bought it — and by mile 200 the check engine light had already come on. To be fair, my salesperson Johnny B was wonderful to work with, and Alisha in the service department was incredibly kind and helpful (she even made sure I got my garage door clicker back after I accidentally left it in the loaner car). Unfortunately, the rest of the experience completely overshadowed their efforts. Once the check engine light came on, I was told the issue could be related to the fuel injectors — apparently a known problem with this model — but they simply reset the computer and sent me on my way. Less than a day later, the light was back on, and this time there was a visible glitch with the infotainment system as well. When I brought the car back in, they told me it would be nearly a month before the new injectors would arrive. The most disappointing part of all was how I was treated by Bobby, who I understand Johnny B reports to. His attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive about the situation, despite the fact that this was a brand-new car that had barely been driven and was already failing. In the end, I decided to trade the car in at Maher Chevrolet and wish I had gone there in the first place. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering Dimitt to think twice.

Bobby helped us get a great deal a 2024 chevy silverado 2500 duramax! However, as soon as i drive off the lot I noticed two problems. One the fuel filter was about to due to change out it was at 14% life. And the restraint system need service light was on. That is the air bag sensors. I took it to a local chevy dealer and I assumed I would be fine since the truck only has 36,166 miles it would still be under bumper to bumper warranty. Apparently when I took it to get serviced i was told my bumper to bumper was expired and it expires at 36,009 miles. So I was not informed of that when I purchase the truck. When I purchased the truck I was told by Dan in finance at the dimmit chevy he told me I have warranty till 72,000 miles. Which is only half true. Some of the warranty is still active till 72,000 but I was not told about bumper to bumper. Which I wanted to opt in for extended warranty. Dan told me that I would not need it because I have warranty till 72,000 miles and was talked out of it. On top of that the bed liner is wrapped and I called about seeing if there's something we can do to get it changed out or fixed and got no response. I also called about maybe getting extended warranty after the fact. I did not get a response back either. No too happy with the service after the purchase.

I think he sensed I was down to business and he knew I wanted that truck. I am the owner of a 2007, 5-Speed, Saturn Sky Redline with a little over 30,000 miles on it. In November of 2025, I was experiencing non-starting issues. Dimmitt Chevrolet is the closest authorized Saturn dealership near me to perform any repairs. I was placed with a wonderful service advisor, Shannon Loomis, and with her, Dave Domzalski and John Johnson a 2 month journey began, trying to figure out why my car would not consistently start. While some people might be aggravated about being without a car for a prolonged period of time, I was not. First, the Saturn is not my daily drive and second, Shannon has been so professional and communicative, that I knew the people involved with my vehicle would make sure everything was done properly. The biggest challenges were finding parts for a 2007 discontinued car, but parts were found! If a part could not be located, the original was removed and refurbished onsite. With the holidays and patience, the Sky is back in action, enjoying the Florida sky. I would like to thank Shannon, Dave & John for all of their dedication and hard work. Way to go Team Dimmitt!

Egidio walked up a few minutes later and after telling him I was just looking we held a conversation of what I was looking to do. I also shared that I was going to trade in my late fathers' car.
