I took my car in to have the wheels re-balanced and rotated. The genius who performed the work left the hub rings on my front wheels and mounted them to the rear with the original rings still on the rear hubs, then tightened the lug nuts to the point that I thought dolphins were mating while I was attempting to loosen them. Good thing I didn't hit a pot hole, or those few threads the lug nuts were holding onto for dear life would've sheared, and a wheel would've gone flying into space. On the plus side, they did such a good job that there was no vibration, and it took another motorist with keen eyesight, who was driving behind me, to point out a slight wobble in the wheels to realize there was a problem. When I stopped to check it out, the 1/3-inch gap between the hub and the face of the wheels was fantastic. It was literally the best thing I've ever seen. I've often wondered if there is anyone more blind than I am. The answer is a resounding yes, and now I know where they work!

Bad attitude. We had alignment a week ago and seemed off. Got worst. Took it back this week and the guy at the desk did not want to honor the warranty. Kept trying to say we did major repair or hitting pot hole. Essentially accused me of lying. The bottom line is alignment needed to be redone. Cost them $0 and 6 employees are sitting around. Stop looking for excuses not to work. Discount Tire just fixes or replaces tire when there is warranty. DONT INTERROGATE CUSTOMERS JUST TAKE CARE OF IT. It’s not like I brought you a car that you didn’t get money for ONE WEEK AGO!

Called here to see if they would patch a tire on my truck and the guy I talked to on the phone said that they would plug it for free. Took the truck up there and the guy behind the counter said that they won’t plug a tire that’s been plugged already, BUT ALSO for us to not replug it either. That if we were going to replug it, then we would just buy a new tire. Sales man move, and honestly a waste of time. It’s like they tell you that they will do a service just to get you up there to pitch a sale to you. This is only the second time I have been here. The first time I had a whole set of tires I purchased and needed them put on, the kid putting them on broke 3 nuts on 2 different tires and they came back and told me that they weren’t allowed to put my new tires on anymore. So I left with two tires on and two off with a bag of broken lug nuts and a bill high enough to where they definitely should have finished the job at a discount. Crap place, I would suggest finding a decent local shop and spend your money there instead.

Just went in for my free tire rotation, been dealing with discount tire for over 25 years. Service is excellent, staff is polite and efficient! A appointment, is recommended, walk ins are helped, but could take longer depending on your needs. The Gastonia store is my usual go!

I wanted a good set of tires. He gave me some "package deal". I paid for 20 lug nuts and a set of wiper blades that I didn't need. I'll never recommend Q for any of my business with Discount Tire again. (Q works for the Discount Tire in Gastonia, NC).

Had my fleet vehicle taken here for a simple tire replacement. I did a three way call with them and confirmed that they would be able to get to my car by the end of the day. That was yesterday at 2 pm… I called them this morning at 9 am wondering when it would be done, not only did they not have any idea of what I was talking about but then they tried to get me to set up a new appointment and pay for the tire after my fleet lease company told them they would be paying for it. They never even started the job. No communication from the shop and no updates I would personally do zero stars if I could.

Purchasing the tire warranty truly saves you from the day to day incidents but certainly there's no longer a since of urgency when you need to cash in on the guarantee. Something punctured my tire a few weeks back, I took my car in and was told to give them 2 days to get the tire in. I called 5 days later only to be told that the inventory was incorrect at another shop and the tire was discontinued. So they had to order next best thing which would take another couple of days...mind you I was riding around on the little dummy tire, so Brandon told me to come in so they could put a spare on it till the tire came in. Another week goes by so I called Brandon to check on the status of my tire and was told that it had come in but was put in stock up stairs so they weren't aware it had come in. I go in to swap for my new tire early (it wasnt busy at all) I sat there for 2 hours which was totally ridiculous...needless to say I will take my car to Charlotte should I have any other tire issues.

My Hyundai had a slow leaking right front tire I have been nursing to keep air in it prior to our big snow storm. On 2/2/26 I ventured out to get a pair of new tires since I had the leak and tread life was at its end. My car uses a not so common tire size. First tire shop didn't have time to get me in. Second tire shop did not have my size. My third try, Discount Tire, was the jackpot. I was quickly, and pleasantly, greeted by associate Cencear. I explained my situation and he got the tire size off my Hyundai, checked all tread depths while he was out at my car, and asked if I needed wiper blades - something many people put off, but I was good. Back in the store he searched the inventory and yes, they had tires my size. Cencear then worked up the price and spun his screen to show me the tire costs and then thoroughly explained all the additional charges and the warranty benefits that came with the installation. I asked a couple question and what I inquired about were included as part of the charges. Perfect! Cencear said it would be about a 1-hour wait. The shop was busy and patrons/cars were coming and going. Sure enough, 1 hour later I was being handed my keys and my car was done. With that, it was a 5-Star experience. Thanks, Cencear, and of course the behind the scenes mechanic who installed and balanced my tires.
