SO HAPPY w/East Amazon Auto Service! I had 4 service lights lit up on my dash, all related to the braking system. RATS had chewed through my wiring (and also my back seat, but that’s another story) and Dave had to remove my back seat to get to the problem area. I’ve included a picture of my affordable bill, so you can see for yourself. They do so much RIGHT here! The affordable hourly shop rate, the rose left on my front seat, how kind Dave was and how he explained everything to me, and the beautiful Chocolate Lab named Callie who gives the best customer service ever 🙂

Efficient work, reasonable costs, excellent customer care. Went in for a repair/part replacement on my civic, but they also happen to be a less expensive option for oil changes than your typical chain w/ an included inspection for leaks. Definitely feels like you're in good hands. Kinda feels like this is that holy grail you're looking for when you ask someone in town if they "know a good mechanic".

Professional, efficient, and great work! When I first called Dave got me in within 2 days (it was a 2 week wait other places in town!). He had my car diagnosed within 1 hour and new starter ready to go by noon! I thought I needed my serpentine belt replaced as well (thats what the oil change people told me) but Dave was nice and honest and told me until it had 6 cracks or 6 inches of damage it is still safe, save my money! A few days later my car had starting issues again so I called back and he had the next problem fixed in 72 hours and again did not overcharge me. Did I mention he puts a rose on your drivers seat when its all done? What a kind touch! Thank you, I have found my new mechanic in Eugene and would highly recommend to anyone!

This is my go to whenever I need maintenance done. I've taken several different cars here over the years and have always been very happy with the price and the quality of work done. They've been able to get me in pretty quickly every time I've called and they're always very friendly. Dave is great at giving detailed explanations so you understand what is wrong, or what they recommend, even if you aren't a car savvy person.

Dave takes great pride in walking through the process of each car and wants people to be confident they know what is going on with their car when they bring it in, what needs to be done, what does not, what is most important, what can wait. They take great care with your vehicle and he leaves a rose on your seat. They are car Dr's and you want to take care of your car so it will last and be safe for your family. They are trustworthy and certified mechanics so you know they know their stuff! This is really a bonus to have a mechanic show that will be honest. I had two places tell me I needed certain repairs around $1200 and I was worried it was a safety issue. I had heard from so many people in my group that Dave was trustworthy so I took my car there and after a thorough inspection I do not have a safety issue and do not need that repair! I have a list of things to work on so I can plan and do them as I can. This is invaluable and I so appreciate Dave and the crew at East Amazon!! Then he places a rose on the seat of your car! I recommend them to everyone I know that mentions needing car work! A place that will be honest with you that your money would be better spent getting a new car rather than dumping money into a pit that needs as much money put into it. That is a great thing and will help you save money in the long run.

I have gone to East Amazon in the past for a standard oil change on my 2012 Toyota Corolla and I guess they did an OK job. However, I wouldn't recommend using them if you happen to be a woman with little or no knowledge of auto repair. I had the same experience as Shoofy (who also posted a review on this site). I needed a transmission fluid drain done and the person I spoke with said that the transmission filter needed also to be changed and he was going to charge me over $500 for this service. That's money I can't really spare. I spoke to a Toyota technician and he told me that my model car doesn't even have a filter, it has a screen. Also that the work the Amazon tech was recommending wasn't necessary. Their pricing is more expensive than the average so I won't be returning to East Amazon Auto in the future.

Our van running lights were staying on and alarm would go off randomly. Charged us 900 dollars to supposedly fix it. We are still having the same issues. Kept asking if it could be the key fobs.. They said no. I think they were just trying to make as much money as they could off of us. We went there because it was close to our house and most of the reviews were good. I wouldn’t recommend going to this place!

They were very honest about my 2010 Subaru that needs a lot of work. They took pictures of everything and we had a good conversation about if the repairs should happen if we were to keep the car. In my search for an honest mechanic that will give you options, and be upfront with you, I have met none that top the service and assistance of Mr. Biancalana and his associates. A full auto-inspection helped us be aware of problems we did not know we had, and addressed others we did know with an earnest mechanic's approach whose desire was to see our family off on the road in a mechanically safe operating vehicle. A detailed list of work to be done, and a review of fees, labor, and the organization of prospective work was emailed to us, and followed up shortly by a phone call to guide us through the tasks. East Amazon Auto Repair surpasses all with customer service mechanical ability and pride in their work that I have not seen for some time. I recently took my car to East Amazon Auto Repair and had an excellent experience. Dave, the mechanic, was professional, friendly, and honest. I highly recommend them to anyone needing car repairs. We had unknowingly bought a car that turned out to be a complete lemon and a potential safety hazard. Dave provided a thorough report, including photos, and was genuinely concerned for our safety, advising us not to drive the car even a short distance. We were sold this dangerous vehicle by Acheron Auto, a dealership on Hwy 99N that should be avoided at all costs. Their practices are unsafe and dishonest. My car was due for a major tune up (just about every routine maintenance thing you could think of) and East Amazon took care of it all—and then some. When they were looking everything over after they’d finished their work, they noticed my heater wasn’t pumping out hot air like it should be. This wasn’t even something I asked them to look at (it wasn’t that important to me to even mention—old cars have a thousand little things like this and it wasn’t a high priority). Regardless, they took the extra step to diagnose this problem and see if they could get it taken care of. In the process of blowing out a clog, the old heating core unit apparently crumbled to pieces (did I mention my car is old?). I’m sure they felt irritated by this—they went out of their way to do a good thing and he thorough and then inadvertently created more work for themselves. But here’s the difference that I think makes East Amazon stand out: A lesser mechanic would have found a way to blame this on me or the car, and maybe would have even been in their right to do so. But that’s not what East Amazon did. In a gray-area scenario, they took responsibility and fixed my heating unit at no extra cost to me. More than anything, I think people just want to be able to trust their mechanic and not worry about whether they are somehow being taken advantage of. This experience eliminated any unease I may have felt in this regard. It showed me that they indeed care about doing things well, that they value transparency, and that they take responsibility and pride in their work. If you are looking for high quality auto care AND peace of mind, I highly recommend East Amazon.

I have been taking my cars here for years. Every time they are communicative about cost and repair timing within the same day. My cars are old so they always let me know what maintenance might be coming up, cost and how to prioritize. I went in to get an oil change and have a brake light replaced on my car. David at East Amazon Auto Repair did the oil change and let me know that the brake light was still good. He was straight forward and clear about what my car needed and even gave me a report detailing what the car needs in the future. He didn't try to upsell me. He just gave me good service.
