Communication and attention to detail in the service department has been lackluster. Service advisors seem either too busy or uninterested to keep on top of customer vehicles, and don’t seem very attentive to listen to customer concerns. I’ve never once had anything explained to me or seen anyone in service interact with customers beyond just taking a payment. All the services on my vehicle have been done here from brand new to 40k miles now. I’m on the road for my job all the time, and drive 35 miles to come here, so an oil change/recall means downtime for my job. I’ve utilized the courtesy vehicle service (which has been much appreciated) to leave me at my office while they did what should have been a couple hours of work. However, every single time, they’ve taken all day to do a recall software update/oil change, or minor warranty concern/oil change. Each time I’ve made a set appointment right away in the morning, and they’ve asked me when I need it back. I haven’t wanted to be That Customer who’s breathing down their neck, so I’ve told them midday or early afternoon would be alright, so I could still hit the road in the afternoon. It’s anyone’s guess as to whether some procedures take most of the day, or whether they’ve parked it in the back lot for most of day to work on more profitable jobs, I don’t know, but that’s where good communication would come in. Every time I’ve had to cancel my afternoon plans and be the one to call them late in the afternoon to get any update. Usually they don’t know what’s going on, or the vehicle is still not ready. Once it was done and they’d just not bothered to let me know. This latest visit, I dropped off the car 15-20 minutes early for a 9:00am oil change/software update appointment. I’d also pointed out that on a prior visit for some warranty work, some retainer push pins for my bumper had been left out. No one else has ever touched the vehicle. Finally got a vague phone call, at 3:00PM, asking if I’d like a couple push pins for $60, which is frustrating. These push pins don’t just fall out on their own. I declined and asked if I could get a shuttle ride back. I waited for 1.5 hours after we spoke, and it didn’t come. Finally I was able to get a friend to give me a ride to the dealer and collect my car after I’d put my work plans on hold all day. Not to mention I need to make it 35 miles home. I understand that unforeseen issues come up in the daily life of a shop. I spent a decade as a service manager myself. Some days you’re just putting out fires in order of importance and the schedule gets bumped. I get it. Maybe some of the software updates take longer periods of time? Be transparent with customers if so. I would just ask for better communication if nothing else. I’m happy to be flexible and understanding if someone can communicate, and let me know what’s going on. If something is going to take 8 hours, be up front about it. If you tell me I have an appointment at a specific time, take care of it at that time. If it’s a “drop it off and we’ll see if we can slip it in” let me know so I can plan. Keep track of customers, listen to their concerns, be attentive to their needs, inform them of timelines. It costs nothing to offer good service and make a customer feel cared about.

For once a dealership that treat you like family and not a just a number. This is my second vehicle purchase from there and Cordell was awesome as usual with the help of Joe which I met the first time they treated me my wife and daughter with the upmost respect and everyone that works there was super friendly and very kind. There was not a hint of frustration or swindling of if you can't get this you have to get that. They work hard on what you want and go above and beyond to get it. We loved going to our local Ford dealership. We find their up front best price to always be easier to work with than the competition. My wife and I went to find out exactly what the size difference between the explorer and the expedition were and were assisted by 2 very friendly employees. We were not pressured into anything and we're very satisfied with our experience. Their lifetime powertrain guarantee is great! Update in 2020 so a few years later.... We have since recommended this dealership to many people mainly my inlaws. They have had nothing but bad luck with the service department and head manager there. They baught a slightly used vehicle (10k miles) from a different dealership (warranty still intact) and when they went in for a defective heated seat they got the run around. Not once or twice but 5 separate appointments needed to be made. Incorrect parts ordered, incorrect installation, insistence that the problem had been fixed.. Just an absolute nightmare. My father in law actually had to have the tech who insisted the seat was fixed and working sit in the vehicle and turn it on. Incrediblely unprofessional management running that place and at least one incompetent mechanic in back. They even tried to charge my inlaws for work after the problem wasn't resolved the first time from the mechanics mistakes. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Update 2 2021i have had some warrenty work done on my 2019 and uploaded a photo of their "top quality service" Update 3 2022 I have gone back to them to order a new vehicle and everything has gone well. My sales associate was easy to work with and fair in their dealings. Financing was low pressure and also very easy to work with. Back to a 5 star for now!

I started looking for vehicle several months before I bought one, and Mike was great at keeping in touch with me but not calling all the time unless there was something I needed to know as far as a new opportunity. Benjamin and Mike were great and found pretty much just what I was looking for and we were able to get things taken care of very quickly at the dealership once I got there. Service has always been great when we have brought any of our vehicles in and we would certainly consider buying our next vehicle at EC Ford for sure.

I recently bought a 2025 Ford Escape from Eau Claire Ford, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Came in for an oil change about a week ago. The wait time was around an hour, which was much faster than the usual 2–3 hour wait, so that was a plus. Unfortunately, the quality of work was disappointing. After the visit, my car would not stay warm inside. When I checked the cabin air filter, I found the cover was installed incorrectly and was damaged. This clearly happened during the service and wasn’t mentioned or fixed before the car was returned. It’s frustrating to have something broken and not addressed. Fast service is nice, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of careless work. I’d recommend double-checking anything they touch before leaving.

I dread visits to car dealerships because too often dealing with salespeople is like watching bad improv. My husband and I recently stopped at Eau Claire Ford and, fortunately, this was not our experience. Joe Pflieger came over to talk to us, and we immediately sensed that he was a very genuine person. He listened to us and was never pushy. The car that we drove that day wasn't right for us, but Joe kept us in mind and let us know when they got a similar vehicle in. This one turned out to be exactly what we wanted. The real test of a dealership is not how they sell a car but how they treat you when there's a problem. We did have a problem and it happened the very day we bought the car. After working with Joe, I had no doubt that he would take care of the problem, and he did just that. It's unfortunate that we had car trouble but EC Ford took care of the problem and made the ordeal stress free for us. I've made several trips back to the dealership and have met a number of people who work there. This is the most friendly dealership I've ever been to. There's a comfort level there that I haven't experienced at other dealerships. All in all, I'm very happy with my experience at EC Ford and highly recommend working with Joe.

Don't get me wrong! The sales team and finance has great caring people! Especially the used car manager Matt!!! Big shout out to you! I know there is only so much one can do to make other people's mistakes right! As far has there service department goes I wouldn't trust them to fix my bicycle!!! If buying used from them be aware!!!! Countless mistakes and overlooked problems! Service manager is a complete you know what! If buying new you're probably ok. I 100 percent won't be a returning customer just because the service department is crap! Went to another dealer.....

Our experience with eau Claire Ford while buying our new car was the most amazing experience we have had in purchasing an automobile. Our sales person Ryan, was so amazing. He was knowledgeable, professional, and totally went the extra mile for us. He didn’t for one minute, push us or made us feel like we are being pushed into a decision.. However, Ryan’s expertise was a big reason we went ahead and made the decision to purchase. I would recommend at least stopping in and talking to Eau Claire Ford. Walker and his team made the buying process effortless. Everything was laid out for me as soon as I arrived. The process of financing and the extended warranty they offered was just the right fit form my budget. I did a bit of reacher in advance and the deal was too good to pass up.
