I was looking for a place near Johns Hopkins to do my state vehicle safety inspection and after calling a few places, Victor’s shop was the only one that could do one for me on the same day. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. There was great service and fair prices. He just opened up this shop earlier this year, and you can tell, with the remodeled bathrooms and with him asking if the temperature of the lobby and the volume of the TV was okay, that he truly cares about the customer experience. He was also very transparent and accurate with the wait times and the expected costs. I’d definitely recommend Elation Auto Repair to my friends and family.

Who’d ever think honest and mechanic would go in the same sentence? At Elation it does! I’ve taken my vehicles to be serviced there for a few years now and won’t go anywhere else. Great customer service and solid repairs, knowledgeable, and fair pricing. He’ll address the issue at hand and NOT try to tell you a million other things are wrong with your vehicle when there’s nothing else wrong. I'm updating my last review of this place, because my last review was written in anger. The events that took place was true, but my anger allowed them to be much bigger than they were. Vic is a good guy, he is human like everyone else. So that being said both of us was at fault for the debockle that we had. His quality of work is very good. Pointed out and fixed things I didn't know was wrong. Now that we understand each other I have no problem allowing him or the members of his staff back under the hood of my car.

Title: First and Last Time – Dishonest and Rude I took my truck to Elation Auto for catalytic converters, and the experience was absolutely terrible. During the repair, they broke my O2 sensor and initially tried to blame me for the damage. They even lied, claiming it was an “internal failure” to get me to pay for the repair. When I spoke with Victor, the owner, he admitted the truth: the O2 sensor was stuck in the old catalytic converter, and the mechanic had to bang on it to remove it – which caused the damage. Victor even sent me a picture of the old catalytic converter showing why the O2 sensor was damaged during removal. Despite this, Edgar, the front desk staff I was in contact with, continued to argue with me, speak condescendingly, and try to convince me it was my fault, clearly attempting to avoid accountability. His rude and dismissive behavior, combined with the company’s repeated lies, showed a complete lack of ethics, professionalism, and customer care. The job was supposed to take 2 days, but my truck was held for 9 days, costing over $3,000, and the repair was never fully completed. My truck is still sluggish, accelerates slowly, burns gas excessively, rides erratically, and the catalytic converters are still leaking. When I brought my truck back, they could not identify or fix the ongoing issues, and they tried to convince me that leaks were “normal”, which was false. I confirmed with a specialist from an Infiniti dealer, AutoZone, and Amoco that the leaks were not normal. Communication has been horrible. Calls, texts, and emails were ignored, and the company did not honor their 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. They have refused to refund me or properly repair my truck. Overall: Elation Auto is dishonest, rude, condescending, and unprofessional. They avoid accountability, lie to customers, and fail to provide competent service. I do not recommend this company under any circumstances.
