Got an MD safety inspection out of the way here the other day. Took it here because it was a little bit cheaper and much closer than the dealership I was going to take the car to. It wasn't as quick as what I would've wanted, but there were a few people ahead of me, so naturally it'd take longer. Only thing that didn't pass were my wipers (which I knew were in pretty awful condition). They fixed the issue and I passed. Nice folks, convenient location, good service, fair price, 5/5.

Got my inspection done here. Brought the vehicle to a mechanic to fix all the fails, before even working on them he asked me if I had brought him the right car. Only 2 out of the 13 fails were true. They went as far as to say there was an open hole in the floor, the mechanic spent an hour looking for it, never to find it. Customer service was non existant, literally like they didn't want customers to come back ever. If I could rate negative stars I would

I have always had great experiences at Fleet Street Shell but never got around to writing a review. I have taken my Honda Accord there for over five years and always had good service with fair prices. Today I managed to lock my son in the car and the owner dropped everything that he was doing to help me immediately. I will always be a customer, but now an even more grateful one.

Only recommend coming here if you’re down and out of luck. Charged me $160 just to tell me to take it to a transmission shop. Surely it doesn’t take much time or effort to hook the car to a diagnostic scanner and read the code to tell me this. I’ve taken my car here a time or two before and it was decent, but now I never want to go back.

The customer service is horrible. Very unprofessional. I went to put air in my tire and was having difficulty with understanding how to use it. The air pump was a little weird because it had a lever that I was not familiar with. I decided to go inside to ask for assistance, specifically just to know how to use it, not for someone to do it for me. As I am walking to towards the gas station store, I encounter an older gentleman with grayish whitish hair about shoulder length and asked him if he worked there and he proceeded to say yes, walking by grumbling that he just got to work. I totally understand Just getting to work and someone asking you something. However, I am a customer and it could’ve been expressed in a better way that he was just getting to work. He didn’t even bother to say “Let me see how I can help you” or “Let me get someone else to help you “nor bothered to inform me that they were not open yet. He proceeds to go to through the cashier booth to the back where car repairs are made. I could overhear him telling someone in the back that I needed help but again he did not communicate anything to me. I encounter the cashier- a young caucasian guy with short dark-hair with gauges to see if he could assist me. He had no clue so then I proceeded to ask for a manager or the owner of the gas station that I could complain to because it was extremely unacceptable that nobody came to communicate 1) they weren’t open yet or 2) to even just tell me simply how to use the pump. So after asking for the number and being denied, I asked who the owner was and after deciding if he should reveal that info or not, he states Bill is the owner. Not sure if Bill heard me going back-and-forth with the cashier about contact info but Bill appears from the back (after also being told by the older worker that I needed help with the pump) stirring his coffee stating they’re not open yet, “I have to wait 10 mins for help”, etc. No customer service skills whatsoever. I then asked him for a number to complain and he flat out told me he would not provide that. And proceeds to say I need to wait 10 mins! This area is predominantly Caucasian and I am pretty sure they would have been treated the exact opposite. So after waiting about three minutes, Bill comes out with a coat that reads Bill and starts to help me and his attitude was completely different. He began to explain how to use the pump, how they need to put a new sticker on the pump to make it more clear on how to use it and even pumped an additional tire that I needed adjusted. This is the level of customer service that should have been provided from the jump. I shouldn’t have to go back-and-forth with employees and an owner who refuse to give me contact information to complain when that is my right as a customer. I shouldn’t have to encounter employees who don’t want to do the job simply because the place doesn’t open for another two minutes. Effective communication and exemplary customer service is a must.

Wow. What can I say about this place? We had an amazing experience here. We always come here to get gas and have never used their garage services before, as we haven't needed to use them. Today, my wife was about to partake on a long drive and we noticed a screw in her tire. Every single person in this establishment went out of their way to help us out. We were very appreciative and will definitely be back for any service needs we have. Can't say enough of how well the people treated us here.

I love these guys. They have repaired by old car continually and saved me a bunch of money. The dealer wanted to charge me $800 to replace the electrical windshield unit and all the corresponding parts, washer fluid, wipers, electrical parts. Nicholas Fleet Street charged me half the price. Love ❤️

The hours need to change to reflect the hours of operation. I went to get gas before work at 7 am on a Sat. There was a sign that said the pumps were turned off at 10 pm however with no indication of when they were going to be turned on. Just a very inconvenient morning, which could have been avoided if the hours were correct (states it’s open from 5 am).

I try to support local businesses, but this place makes it difficult. I expect a small shop to spend the day doing something that may be done in a few minutes at a jiffy lube, especially because I usually just show up,so that's not the problem. The problem is that you actually can schedule appointments online, which I actually bothered to do this time. I rush there after a 12hr overnight shift to get my car there on time @8am for a tune up. Only to call around 2pm and have the lady tell me the mechanics were "just talking about starting on your car" YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! Oh you were just thinking about it?? Then why bother with appointments?? I have never done an online review, but usually the mechanic take a quick minute to talk about the repairs the car needs (maybe that's not standard and they just happened to have some time on their hands the last few times I've brought my car there) but that did not happen this time so I did get to say all this in person, and I don't give attitude to receptionists that are nice and have nothing to do with the weak customer service of the mechanics. I am exceptionally sure they serviced my car this morning and did not lay a finger on it yesterday. On top of that you can authorize repairs up to whatever amount you choose I did that, nothing was done, no one ever called to ask if I wanted any of the repairs, so what was the point in the authorization. Thanks for my 26hr tune up and tire rotation. Never going back and never recommending this place again.

We went to the dealership for annual maintenance and came out with a $2,700 estimate. We called Nicholas Fleet Street and were worked in quickly into their schedule for a second opinion. Bill was very fair, honest, and took the time to answer my questions and explain the situation to me. We ended up leaving with peace of mind and <$70 total bill. We are very grateful to have a neighborhood automotive shop that we can rely on and trust!

Love these guys. Got a flat tire shortly after moving to the city. Called my dad and he said ‘what do you want me to do?’ LOL thanks dad. Didn’t have a smart phone yet so he at least looked them up for me. I called them and they rescued me (including saving me from getting a ticket! Meter maid was writing it as they pulled up). Came to them anytime I needed something after that. Once they pulled a nail out of my tires and patched it and tried not to take any money but I insisted. If I was still local I’d still be going.

Called to see about getting a tire plugged and was told I'd have to leave my vehicle and they would "try to work it in". I can understand being busy...glad to have a local business doing well... but it's a 10-15 minute job. Never had that experience in the 30+ years I've been a customer. Always had great service prior to this.

Needed a quick repair of my Honda minivan slider door that wouldn't fully close and was draining the battery. The Honda dealer couldn't guarantee they could even look at it and wanted $145 to 'assess' what is a known design flaw and has happened on all 3 of the vans we've owned. Anyhoo, the mechanic at Shell was willing to take a look. Dropped it off after hours and the next morning they had it on the charger and were checking it out. It would have required to order parts, several days to receive and replace in order to fully repair. I needed to get on the road so they did the next best thing and got it to stop draining the battery. It was ready mid afternoon same day and the cost was less than Honda wanted to just look at it! Friendly, quick service. Well done!

Bill and his team have worked on my cars for many years. Dependable, honest and all around great experience. I must say that Jason is the best mechanic I've come across... he thoroughly explains the mechanical ins & outs, and always has my best interest at heart as a car owner.

Super slow pumps that also play ads with sound while you pump. Pricey and not worth it.

Listen family, I don't really frequent this area both as i domt drive and I live over West. Mist establishments domt take kindly to people loitering. And its not like I'm pant handling like most. Im si.oly waitimg for a ride and the attendant came out, invited me in, offered me a seat and directed me to the bathroom should i need it. In 2025? Goodness I didnt know decent people still exist lol come get your gas from here ASAP - good hearty folks here. ❤️❤️

Totally ripped off! Took my car there to get battery replaced after getting a charge. I only asked for the battery to be replaced. Get a call 4 hours later advising me that the battery replacement would be $331.00 and that my Brake Pads front and back were very low and needed replacing for $600.00. Advised NO to the pads and yes to the battery, as I was desperate to get car back to go to work. Yesterday I went to my Brother’s Auto Shop in Perry Hall for him to replace the brake pads taking time off of work. Sure enough - fronts 3 years left in them and back pads 2 years. A waste of my time and his. Not only did they put my car on a lift, when a battery change can be done on the ground, they completely took out the Mazda casing for a battery and did something with tires, as the caps on them were completely new. I was not told about any of that, nor did I authorize it until I called the next day to inquire. The average cost for a battery change is $75 to $200. Never will I ever use them again. In fact - they should give me some money back. That battery is not 14k Gold!

Went here to get a bottle of water after walking around Patterson park. Paid in cash and didn’t get the correct change back. Asked lady and she said she doesn’t give change back under 10 cents unless they ask. I should not have to ask to get the correct amount of change back.

Quite dissatisfied with this place and felt jerked around throughout the whole experience. I will say, Im sure I was quite rude with them at times because I very much disagreed with their inspection recommendations and they refused to budge, but they didn't get angry and generally handled it well even if I acted like a toddler at times. Regardless, this was still a mediocre, if not bad experience, and the worst part is, they will probably respond with "we are sorry, we are always trying to improve our customer's experience", but nothing will change. Don't be sorry, be better.

Super rude lady working inside the convenience area. Not only was she completely unhelpful, not listening to my problem, but she was dismissive and didn’t even look up from what she was doing. I had a problem with the pump accepting my fuel rewards points and when I tried to speak with her about it she immediately shut me down and said it wasn’t her problem and I had to take it up with Fuel Rewards. The answer itself was not the problem, understandable if she couldn’t do anything on her end. But her attitude and rude behavior was appalling, I won’t return and will be telling others about this poor experience.
