The hard to find, honest mechanic. I have been going here for years. The staff is great to deal with, and they know their stuff. Always upfront with the problems and never try to to oversell or fix something that isn't broken. If I cant fix it myself, they are my first call.

the two guys working there that i saw seemed pretty nice. really friendly which i don't get much from people. he found my problem, showed me what it was and why he knew what it was, gave me an estimate for the following day . i checked and found that he was right later that day. they got the work done ahead of schedule and for a reasonable price. good place.

Thank you for saving me thousands of dollars. I took my teenage son's car to a local place in Meridian and they gave me a huge list of things wrong totaling $5,000 and Ernie found most of those items did not need repair and what did, cost me $887.00. Great friendly and honest repair shop.

my power steering high pressure hose had a hole in it, took it to Ernies and was very impressed apart from fixing that they suggested i replace a couple worn parts that i did end up replacing. great work, great customer service, and the price was very reasonable (did my research) would highly recommend them to friends and family!

Most honest mechanic ever! Never wants to cheat you out on money, the wife is always looking to save you money. Ernie was able to change what I wanted in a timely manner. Car is working better and also able to identify a bad water pump which I'll be getting replaced next. Will definitely be keeping my business with them.

I chose to take my car to ernies auto after reading all the good reviews online, i had been previously quoted that my car needed 4k in repairs. Ernie took a look at it and was able to fix everything i was having issues with and more for less then a quarter of the price i was quoted. Hes the honest, fair, and fast mechanic that is so hard to find!

Updated 06-2020 Ernie and Letty are wonderful. I took my vehicle in to another shop for alignment. They found I needed some struts. I took it in to Ernie for a second opinion. He confirmed most of the repair was needed but was lower priced. To me they are the best place to take your vehicle. They are always busy which tells me they are doing the right things for a lot of people. 05/2020 Original These guys are great. I never feel over charged and they focus on what needs fixed without pressure or "up selling". I learned about them by word of mouth and have referred several people. Everyone whom I referred has had a great experience as well.

Best shop, Ernie and Letty are very honest and well priced. I won't go anywhere else when I'm in Idaho for my mechanic needs. You don't have to worry about getting ripped off here, Ernie looked at some cars to inspect them before I bought a new car and went over in detail everything he found, made buying a car way less stressful. Letty is super pleasant to talk to and gave me lots of good advice on purchasing a used car. I'm now having my timing belt replaced and double checking everything is good before I go to Oregon in a few months.

While the receptionist was professional and welcoming, the technical expertise of the mechanic appeared dated. The shop seems equipped only for the simplest maintenance on legacy vehicles. I would not recommend them for repairs on any modern vehicle (2000 or newer) that requires current diagnostic standards."
