We live right near this repair shop. From the reviews we decided to go for our service on our Mercedes instead of the dealer. BIG BIG MISTAKE! They are under New Ownership(which I did not know until I was there) I was told they valued my business and wanted to provide an excellent customer experience so we would continue to come there for our service and that they wanted to be competitive with the dealership. We are awaiting a credit for “diagnostic evaluation” which they could not provide after 2k worth of work was supposedly needed. We were told we needed 2 new batteries for the computer to diagnose our “AC” problem (we also wanted a basic service of oil, filters., etc) They replaced the batteries to supposedly provide diagnostics, they did the “service” and still could not diagnose why the AC wasn’t going on(ugh) This was done for an overinflated charge of $2000- charging us $275 for a diagnosis which they could not do- after replacing batteries which they said would allow them to do this diagnostics. The owner said they would credit the diagnostic fee $275( our credit card has not received this and we are going to have to put a stop payment on our card) Besides this, we then had to take our car to the Mercedes dealership in LB. I must say, they assessed and repaired the problem in less than 2 days( a compressor) and it was still under the extended warranty so No Charge. I will NEVER go back to European Car on Broadway. The “owner/manager” gave my husband a hassel when he went in to come to a reasonable solution- the owner made a million excuses and didn’t follow thru on the “diagnostic credit”. They are not providing the “service” they profess to wanting to provide. Go to the Mercedes Dealer- plus they generally have a loaner and can ALWAYS diagnose without excuses

My family and I have been taking BMW's to this shop for 20 years, but things have changed with the new ownership. It used to be owned and run by guys that raced vintage BMW's and they did outstanding work. Now the mechanics appear to not have even a cursory familiarity with german cars. My car sat there for a month getting various parts changed without them even knowing what was wrong with it. The only bright spot of the operation now is Laura who has worked the front desk forever. She gave me the number of one of the old mechanics. After they failed to even figure out what was wrong with the car after having it for a month, I had it towed to my driveway (they wouldn't let him work at the shop), and he figured out what was wrong with it in a few hours, with basic diagnostic tools. Received a $3k bill for them guessing at problems and replacing things that were working completely fine, because they lacked the experience to figure out what was actually wrong. They claimed the DME (ECU) was dead, but didn't pull it, and test it, they claimed the Valvetronic system was broken, it wasn't, and they didn't test the components. Turned out to be that oil had leaked into the wiring harness, but when they were having communication issues with the DME and the parts, they didn't even think to check the wiring. They wanted to order a refurbished DME from Germany and replace it, at a quite hefty cost without even isolating the problem. If it was just that, Id say, well thats probably a hard problem to track down. But they also botched a replacement of a basic cracked coolant expansion tank replacement. Apparently forgot to put the hose clamps back on and the coolant lines blew and spewed coolant everywhere. Of course, I had to pay to have them fix the job they didn't do properly the first time, because they wouldn't admit it was their fault, even though it happened less than 100 miles after the repair, and they didn't bother to clean up any of the mess the coolant made of the engine bay. There are no excuses, a month is long enough to say, hey, we don't know whats wrong, sorry, take it to BMW. BMW concurred with the opinion of the old mechanic, it is now being fixed at the dealer for much more than the car is worth, but this used to be a shop where you took cars that were members of the family, and they were worked on like they were. No longer. They do bad work, take no pride in their work, and do not stand behind their work. I cannot recommend you avoid this shop with the new ownership and new mechanics enough.

AVOID THIS PLACE. Waiting an entire day for an oil change, having the brakes replaced and then needing to have them redone under warranty, then another entire day having a brake fluid flush that resulted in an air bubble in my brake fluid line that seized my clutch. had brakes previously replaced onlv to have my brakes squeaking again. After waiting all day for an oil change, was told the rotors were scored and the pads were wrong and my brake fluid was shot. Fast.forward to a new day, They replaced the brakes unDer warranty and I paid for the brake fluid replacement. Another entire day lost. A week later, my manual clutch feels spongy. Maybe its just me I thought...until tonight (saturday), and my 2020 124 spider wont go inta gear. Ai told me there was likely an air bubble in the brake/clutch fluid. Ofc the shop isnt open unti mondav. Frantically i called mobile mechanics to bleed my slave cylinder. Macs roadside service got to me in an hour, spent another hour bleeding the brake system, then another 1/2 hour aligning the thrown linkage. If i would have went back to this shop they would have charged me thousands for a clutch and transmission replacement guaranteed...and even then its doubtful they would have bled the system right or identified the linkage issue. KEEP SCROLLING or call macs roadside for actual knowlwdge and someone who can actually manage their time efficiently.

2018 GLS550 I dropped my car off for a radiator replacement , Luis called and said my serpentine belt was shedding so I authorize him to replace it. Wasn't surprised of the find . I appreciate that they informed me and asked if I wanted it replaced. The new radiator and fan belt work done was excellent. It's my first time visiting the shop. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Luis the manager is very likable and easy to work with. I never felt pressured or received the excessive sell pitch. He pointed out other work needed and informed me what ordered to have them done. Luis also worked with me a little on the overall price. Verdict: 1. Excellent mechanic work. 2.
