We told them to check our filters to see if they needed to be changed and they said we could wait until next change. I appreciate the honesty and the price was cheaper than Valvoline (with a coupon). It’s true that you pay what you get for. This place was able to figure out an issue in less than 2 days and fix it ready to go. I had a frustrating experience with customer service at this location in Miramar. We initially made an appointment at a different location and accidentally showed up at this one. The person at the front desk was not very attentive or helpful when we arrived. When we realized our mistake, I immediately made a same-day online appointment for this Miramar location. However, the front desk staff seemed visibly bothered that we had booked a same-day appointment online and commented that only two employees were working. He implied that quick or efficient service could not be guaranteed, despite the fact that we now had a confirmed appointment. If same-day online appointments are not encouraged, it’s confusing why they are offered through the website. The overall tone and attitude we experienced felt dismissive and unprofessional, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this left a poor impression of the customer service.

Walked in without appointment for pre-purchase inspection on our car here yesterday, Keith at front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable, accommodated us immediately and summarized the process in short. Report was ready within one hour, he explained all the details on report and gave fair estimate of what services are recommended and what looks good. They weren’t pushy at all for any unnecessary services and charges. Overall great experience, would visit again for servicing our car in future.

The crew here is never pushy, they just give information and recommendations. We have been bringing our 4 vehicles here for years now. I recently purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento LX with a diagnostic code of P0076. The seller informed me their mechanic completed all necessary services but the check engine light remained active and the code never resolved. I contacted a mobile mechanic that performed maintenance for a total price of $895. These repairs also did not resolve the issue. I decided to trust Family Auto Service and I was not disappointed. The staff were able to accommodate me the same day. Everyone I engaged with ensured I had a clear understanding of the issue, what would be required for the repair, and reinsured me if the plan were to change they would give me the courtesy before making any changes. Through the repair process their team found issues that may be problems down the road and fixed them on the spot at no additional labor cost. This is the type of place that your grandparents would tell you about. Reliable, trustworthy, and a group of people that treat you with true care. The maintenance cost may be little steep but I would highly recommend to anyone that wanted their vehicle repaired properly the first time. This will be my first and only stop moving forward.

The staff didn’t rush me and took a look without trying to upsell a bunch of stuff I didn’t ask for. They explained what was going on in simple terms, which I appreciated since I’m not super into car details. The wait time was reasonable for a walk-in, maybe 30–40 minutes, and the waiting area was clean enough. Prices felt fair compared to other places around here, not cheap but not crazy either.

I had work done here and I love that they have 24 months warranty, I brought it back in to check on a noise my car been making and Keith took the car in for inspection to check without a question and called me and arrange an Uber ride for me.
