First time using this shop was today. Funny thing, when I called them, the phone was answered right away by a courteous person that gave me up front pricing and scheduled me for the next day. Very professional, and a group of Christian men. Even though they were booked up a week and a half out in advance, they worked me in and stated they try to take care of the people who are traveling and just passing through their city. I did not have a good experience at Farnsworth and Gordon. That being said; I do not condone anyone giving a bad rating to a business if they have not had any dealings with said business. It is a personal experience to be had by each individual and each person has their own right to choose where and with whom they take their vehicles. Please use your own judgement with all things and if there are those who have made reviews without first having used this business, please remove or re-post your negative reviews.

I'd been waiting 2 find an automotive shop like this. Honest, professional, & reasonable prices. I took my truck in with a list of repairs & whatever else was needed. My truck turned into a classic this year n Farnsworth made it run like a classic. If I had 5 thumbs, I would give them a 5 thumbs up! πππππ

Great people and great work. They stand by what they sell. If there is any problem they bend over backwards to make it right. I found their prices to be right in line with everywhere else so if having good honest people work on your vehicle is important to you this is the place to go. Casey and David will treat you like family! I won't go anywhere else.

I called and said that my car was overheating and if they could check it out. The man on the phone was very condescending to me when I told him I have never taken my vehicle to a shop before and that I know absolutely nothing about cars. I didn't mind, I wasn't about to judge a whole shop by someone's tone so I took it in. They told me it was the water pump which they charged me $400 to replace, and I also had them replace my wheel bearing which they charged me $300 for. As soon as I left the shop I realized my power steering wasn't working so I drove home with no power steering. A bunch of lights kept turning on so I pulled over and called them to tell them what had happened. I checked under the hood and the entire serpentine belt had fallen off and got wrapped around the wheels that turn it. How does this happen? They came and fixed it for free and I figured that was just a little mistake so I didn't think much of it. A couple days later I was taking the highway from Rigby to Idaho Falls and my car started overheating again, I got off the highway and pulled over and had to get a ride from someone kind enough to not let me walk all the way to work. I called them and asked if they could come pick it up and check it out because I didn't do anything abnormal to my car, I had always taken the highway. They told me that the clasp on the radiator hose had fallen off just out of nowhere, which wouldn't have happened if they had checked the entire cooling system (like they should have when I told them my car overheated) and bled the air out so that something like that doesn't happen. They charged me $120 for that single clasp and justified it by saying that they "didn't work anywhere near the radiator hose." If someone says they are having overheating problems, why wouldn't you check the ENTIRE cooling system? I would suggest if you're looking for an auto shop you go somewhere where the people working on your car actually know what they are doing and don't charge you a fortune for it. I guess this is what I get for choosing the first auto shop I saw.

Farnsworth and Gordon Automotive went above and beyond in completing need repairs on my suburban. I got my windshield replaced, a part repaired to stop my check engine light from coming on, and my battery replaced. Not only is the one stop shop so convenient, they offered me transportation to and from their shop. David also gave me a check list of maintenance suggestions to do over the next 3 months to avoid major repairs. Thanks Farnsworth and Gordon for taking such good care of my vehicle!

*Experience from 2017* My engine developed an oil leak because it needed a new valve cover gasket, so I called, got a quote, and brought it in. This was a mistake: -They did install the new gasket perfectly (as was needed), but there was a separate oil leak (which was no fault of Farnsworths) -They diagnosed the new leak as a cracked valve cover (more on this INCORRECT diagnosis below...) -Even though an OEM valve cover is available all over the internet shipped for $350 (or even direct from a dealership for $400) they insisted part cost would be $900. I felt that this was unacceptable markup. They must be getting a kickback for using a particular overpriced parts network. -They had already conceded to discount the price of the 2nd round of labor (since they hadn't diagnosed the problem completely before beginning work), but they CHANGED THEIR MIND when I said $900 for a $350 part is unacceptable (and that I would provide the part). They have a MUCH higher surprise rate if you bring them the part. -I decided that they were not going to have my business and I took it to Oswald's -Oswald's demonstrated that the VALVE COVER WAS ACTUALLY PERFECT (farnsworth's was trying to unnecessarily charge me $1100+ altogether for NOTHING). The real problem was a small leak at the oil filter connection. -The 2nd shop quickly fixed it in 30 minutes, and the car has been leak free and without problems since. Indeed, there was absolutely no valve cover crack, my leak was actually at the oil filter connection. So basically, If a little old lady without car experience had brought them the same vehicle, they would have screwed her over for a grand because they misdiagnose problems. Very disappointed. Never Farnsworths! By the way.... I bought a new OEM valve cover (based on their diagnosis) that I wasn't allowed to return (ebay parts seller won't accept it - since there is nothing wrong with it). It is big and thin, so shipping the part back is expensive and risky. Guess I'm just out that money. I will pay an honest mechanic a fair rate, but these guys do not acknowledge that wasting customer money is a problem.

This shop has had my dad's truck for over 9 months they still have not fixed it. All the work has been paid for and they are now trying to charge him a storage fee even though his truck still can't be driven. They have him blocked from Facebook because they don't want a bad review. I was bullied into taking down a review I made on Facebook before they would even give me my keys back. I was quite close with the owners sister so I took my car to this shop on a good recommendation from her. The way they treat their customers is appalling. They're extremely rude. They wouldn't give me a breakdown of the hours spent on my car. My car also sat at this shop for 3 months before it was fixed. They are outrageously unethical. They overcharged greatly. The total cost was not even remotely close to what I was quoted. In my opinion they should not be in business. I wish that I could say I had a great experience with this shop, but I did not. Take your car to A&B Transmission. They will take care of you.

Out of the 4 other places I called this was the only place that was even willing to take a look at my BMW to figure out how to fix the broken motor mount bolts. They took a look but was skeptical but I told them to go ahead and see what they could do and they was up for the challenge and they got the broken bolts out and new ones in for UNDER what they had originally quoted me! Will definitely be returning for future car problems.

We have a 2016 Ford Explorer that was close to the end of its factory bumper-to-bumper warranty so I had them take a close look at the vehicle front to back. They gave me a comprehensive list of what they found and prioritized that list when they discussed it with me. When I took it to the Ford dealership they didn't question any of it. I credit that to the fact that I went prepared thanks to the guys at Farnsworth Auto. Ford did over $3000 in warranty repairs, most of which were barely noticeable but we caught them with the trained eyes of David and his crew. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Recently I took both of my cars to Farnsworth and Gordon Automotive. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. As with all car repairs there were extra things discovered that needed fixed. David was upfront and honest about the additional repairs and the cost involved. Six months ago, my son & wife became parents and needed to buy a vehicle that would accommodate their small family. They purchased a VW Passat. Within a few months, car was giving them issues. She tried to work things out with the car lot. About 3-4 weeks ago, it quit on her & the baby while in the middle of a busy road. VW Dealership looked it over and said they needed $4,000 repairs (charged them $150 to look at it). They took it to Farnsworth Auto to receive a second opinion. His repair list was much different and even found their brakes to be βmetal to metalβ. Repair costs- just over $1,000. I never used him personally, but I am pleased with how well they were treated. It pays to definitely shop around. Farnsworth Auto- you havenβt only gained them as a new customer, but me as well. THANK YOU

Excellent service; start to finish. They did exactly what I needed done without being pushy or making me feel bamboozled. That goes a very long way with me. I did look up the part I needed online prior to taking it in for replacement as I was considering doing the work myself. Farnsworth was right on the money. I appreciate being provided good and timely service at a reasonable price. They said they'd have it done in one day and that's exactly how it worked out. Suffice to say that I will be taking my vehicle to Farnsworth for any future repair needs. Also, they have very friendly and personable staff. Just a nice all around auto repair experience.

Great shop! Helped me get my 1986 F250 back up running due to blown out (Plastic) hyd line from master cylinder to slave cylinder melted on headerπ¬ Shop crew Awsome! Installed new braided hose now she lives!πππππ Update 7.5 liter finally died, had it towed back to Farnsworth diagnosed No oil getting to engine...so had shop Install the reman engine with rv cam The shop did excellent work..price total Was spot on.. no surprises had minor upgrades done on clutch and had block heater added...I am 100% satisfied with work they did..it was finished same time I got out of hospital for open hart surgery, shop was supper nice and they drove it to my house in shellyπ I would recommend Farnsworth Auto for repair, easy to work with great employees
