I came in because I made a appointment for 1:00. I only needed a oil change. WHY HAVE I BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS. This is crazy. What’s the point of making an appointment. Makes no sense and then they charge 90 for OIL!? Should have gone to autozone. 0/5 stars

I called over the phone to see how much a brake fluid flush would be on my 2017 BMW the guy on the phone said $90 so I said sure I’m on the way when I arrive to the shop he asked me why do I think I need a brake fluid flush? I told him the computer Status is saying that the brake fluid needs to be changed he said he wants to see it for himself so we walk out to the car and he turns it on looks at the dash and he tells me that he doesn’t see anything on the dash so I pointed out where it says brake fluid Underneath the vehicle status warning then he tells me well it’ll be $150 and I was so confused because on the phone he said it would be $90 but now that I’m here in person it’s $150. The whole experience just showed me that the technicians there don’t know what they’re talking about and they’re just trying to grab as much money from your pockets as possible. I went across the street to Pep Boys and they got it done quick for $80

We have been using the Hamden Firestone location for years. Their work is excellent and reasonably priced. Also, very accommodating. I recently, by mistake, booked an appointment at a competitors. They worked me into their schedule which saved my day. With auto repair providers, you need to have total confidence in their diagnosis & resulting repair. Over the years, we have had exactly that. For that reason, we are loyal customers.

This place usually takes care of me but this time I was very upset with the work. I came in for my differential fluid to be changed out and they end up damaging the body of my car. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because they are making it right by paying for the damages and getting it repaired and putting me in a rental since I told them to. What pisses me off the most is that you can tell by the pictures it is very noticeable and on the drivers side so you will definitely see it the moment you walk up to the car and they had the audacity to not even mention it or have the integrity to own up to it. I had to point it out to them and then they questioned their staff. Sorry guys but this will be my last visit at this shop. Wish you the best but I don’t recommend anyone going to this shop as long as the current mechanics are still their cause they clearly don’t care about your property.

I had a 1 o'clock appointment. I called at 12:30 to see if they were on time. He said, yes, come on in, I got there at 5 of 1.I waited till 145 before they took my car in 45 minutes i waited. I talked to the manager about it. He wasn't very nice. He was almost rude, got very upset. And they told me they double book. So when you got an alignment, they're double booking you so if the other guy gets there 5 minutes ahead of you, you've got to wait for his alignment to be done before they start yours, not very good business.

The job was not completed to my satisfaction and the mechanic made misrepresentations of what needed to be done to solve my problems, resulting in unnecessary expenses. Then when the work was completed, my car started to behave intermittently worse, and the problem I came in for did not get solved. The supposed "Complete System Diagnostics" was not complete at all. I asked the mechanic whether (say) checking the brakes meant taking down all 4 tires to make sure everything is fine and he responded "usually". That is not good enough, is it? You can't just eyeball the tires and tell me the brakes are fine. The more so as when thye were done replacing the driver side front pas, pressing the brake pedal was resulting in a cracking sound on the pedal. When I returned and tried to explain myself, the mechanic and the customer service person became immediately defensive and impolite. I will not return to this store and will challenge my bill . Quotas should not be considered above customer ..

The crew here helped us out of a jam when we unexpectedly broke down on a trip. They were professional and courteous during a stressful time for us. They were able to fix our car and get us back on the road safely. We had actually passed two stations on the same road on the way to Firestone, but they turned us away. After that, we googled nearby service stations and found this shop- glad we did. If you live in the area I’d recommend you give them a chance to work on your car. Ownership and accountability were displayed, in addition to the usual exemplary customer service and customer care, by the Hamden, Connecticut, Firestone Complete Auto Care Store. It needs to be shared, without pointing the finger at anyone or any store, the Hamden Firestone Complete Auto Care, led by Alyssa, corrected improper and unprofessional service and conduct by another Firestone Complete Auto Care. My kindness and genteel nature should not be perceived as inattentiveness. I will not here identify the specific location or store: they know who they are. This location has always been my preferred Firestone. I never had an issue with the service, and they had a great team of experts that were always reliable. Unfortunately, my last visit was incredibly different as far as customer service. My car went in for what I thought was a simple tire repair (I always purchase my tires here and get the road hazard coverage). When the manager (Zach) reviewed my tires, he claimed they were from 2021 and not covered. BUT I had receipts, all 4 tires were purchased in 3/2024. When I came back to him with this info, he still said they weren’t covered, and had a laundry list of reasons why, and said I was “just trying to get money off”. He refused to provide me with the road hazard coverage details, and was remarkably rude. No reason to be this nasty to people, especially your customers.

This will be a long review so I’m sorry in advance for the long read, but after years of loyalty towards Firestone, I will never go back after my last visit. I went in on Wednesday for just a simple oil change and that turned into me being told that I needed my oil pan replaced completely because my car started leaking oil. This sounded weird to me because I’ve never had to replace an oil pan before for any of my previous cars and there was never any indication of a leak in my garage. At first I said OK, but after hearing it would be over $500 just to replace a piece of plastic something told me I should get a second opinion elsewhere. After waiting 3 hours for an oil pan to arrive at Firestone, I decided I would take my car back and find a new shop to bring it to. Brett at Firestone told me that anywhere else would charge me more for the service to be done if I took the car back, but again something told me to get that second opinion. I’m VERY glad I followed my gut, because after getting that second opinion, I learned that while there was a small mess made from my last oil change, there was actually NOTHING wrong with my oil pan at all. The shop cleaned up the mess, did one last look, and gave my car back with the oil changed. I was LIVID because I will now always remember being completely gaslit by the staff that I trusted because I didn’t fall for their trick to get me to spend more money than I needed to. There were other instances before this between my car and my boyfriend’s car, but this was the last straw. Never again, and I’m grateful to the local body shop that was able to help us without charging us more than necessary.

Iasiah The tech that looked at my flat tire ( and he found a screw in the tread ) said they would look at it. He called with a ' it's all fixed ' message , same night, and I could come down and they would swap the donut tire for my fixed tire. I went right down and it was done ! Very Happy and quick service ! Iasiah was very good to work with. I worked as a telephone installer/repairman aind once in a while we would get a letter from a customer quoting good service , we called these ' ATABOY'S 'Please share this review with Iasiah boss/owner he was great !
