This is the best shop in town. I was new to the area and have had them work on my car 3 times. Once was for alternator, another time for electric work on my lights, and also for a busted exhaust system. They were super timely, knew what to fix l, and the prices were more than fair. They explained to me several options and were super personable as well respecting my time. They’re usually really busy because it’s such a good shop, but as long as you make an appointment you’ll be set.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Fair prices and does services with integrity. As a female who navigates car repairs herself, I’ve gotten my fair share of auto shops trying to swindle, disrespect, and talk down to me for wanting to understand the processes. Todd was so kind, giving me his time and attention despite packed schedules. I ask a lot of questions in order to understand my options and the work being done.Todd clarified each one with transparency and handled my inconsiderate probing about parts sourcing with a patience that I really appreciate. End result was repairs costing under his quoted estimate and done that day. I will be recommending Tech Auto to everyone and taking my business here again.

Todd, the person who is running this Auto repair shop is an unbelievable kind and helping person. He never charged people based on their auto knowledge. A very genuine guy and charged only for repairs and suggested for required fixes. The best place for the perfect auto service is Tech Auto. After nearly 8 months of my car being basically held hostage between 2 different garages. Several friends recommended Tech Auto on Connolly Parkway in Hamden. I made a appointment to have a 3rd opinion on the issues and as I was driving there my car blew a tire. Tech Auto towed the car, gave it a diagnostic and turned it around in 3 days. The 3rd opinion was very different from the first 2 ….I felt they were the first honest and fair garage I have ever dealt with. My car is fully functional and I am no longer a pedestrian. If you are having car issues I highly recommend this garage. Todd and his crew are top notch. I will not go to any other garage except Tech Auto. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I took my truck to Tech Auto after I broke down on the parkway. there was a lot of problems with the truck and I didn't make an appointment. the guys quickly brought it into the shop to assess the issues. long story short, they easily could have fixed half of the problems, charged me a bunch of money, and sent me on my way. instead they invested hours into identifying deeper issues with the truck and informing me before I made a decision. my point is, they had every opportunity to make a few thousand bucks and get me back on the road with an unsafe vehicle, but they didn't. this is a 5 star review of the character and integrity they displayed. thanks guys!

EDIT: My serpentine belt snapped and my car was towed here. As I mentioned a year ago, I'd come back for repairs and they got it done within 24 hours, minimizing the time without my car! Excellent service! ----------- I just got a new car today and I wanted them to assist me with installing a dashcam. They were very kind and knowledgeable; we got everything done in just a few minutes. I'm very happy with the service I received today and I will be returning here for all of my maintenance needs. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been using Tech Auto for a couple years now to repair my wife and my own car. The owner Todd is a pretty cool guy and knowledgeable about his trade. Each time that I’ve gotten my car fixed, Todd has given me recommendations and quoted me more than a reasonable price for the work that he and his team does. You know the feeling that you may get when you visit a new mechanic, like are they taking advantage of me, well you won’t get that here. I would definitely 100% recommend Tech Auto to my family and friends for their auto repair needs.

Does a good job, doesn’t even matter compared to his horrible customer service. Don’t call because they won’t answer nor call, don’t come in to check on your car because they will throw your key at you. and don’t expect them to treat you like a human being. All they care about is the money.

This was the lowest cost, fairest priced, honest mechanic I have ever met in over 30 years of owning a car. They promised me a price and a time and stuck to it. They are kind of hard to find as there is no sign and yes they take credit cards. Also since the secret is out on how awesome they are their phones are literally ringing off the hook at all times so it can be hard to get ahold of them but they are totally worth the time and effort to get them to work on your car. I cannot say enough good things about my experience and would direct anyone to use them for their vehicle.

My grandfather worked at Tech Auto for decades as I grew up. He unfortunately passed away over a decade ago, and I returned to CT with a sudden tire issue and nowhere to turn. I remembered Todd and decided to see if he could help. Tech Auto unfortunately doesn’t help with tires, but Todd pointed me in the right direction and got us back on the road. I am writing this review to solidify the local public opinion that this is the BEST auto shop, the most honest and reliable around. The guys are all very helpful and knowledgeable.
