Y'all used to have a certified tech that could do anything. Now you don't. Y'all used to have same day service with ease. Now I have to schedule an appointment days or a week in advance if I want that service during a time that is convenient for me. Y'all used to have folks that had been there for a really long time that I had a relationship with. Now y'all got a bunch of new folks. Y'all used to be better at the location closest to me. Now y'all are just like any other place I can go to and get service. I even got your credit card so I could get a discount at your location for these reasons. Now I no longer need your credit card because your service doesn't stand out in any way. I will be looking elsewhere. Y'all traded corporate uniformity for personal touch. It ain't your fault though at the local store. Firestone Corp office sucks dog water.

Lady at the front desk is very rude and not helpful at all. My mother-in-law brought her car in for a brake issue and was told she needed a new water pump. She allowed them to replace it and made it 5 minutes down the road before overheating. The manager took some coolant to her and topped it off saying that it must still have air in the system and asked her to drive it back in. Her car then overheated 3 more times on the way back to the shop, so a total of 4 times of overheating. When I arrived, I asked the lady why they would allow it to be driven back if they knew it would continue to overheat and potentially damage the head gasket. She then told me, “overheating doesn’t cause head gasket failure.” I finally got to speak to the manager and he then tried to tell me the same thing by saying “it would need to overheat for a long time before causing damage.” After sitting there for almost an hour the manager came back in and told us they believe the thermostat went bad and asked if they could hang on to it for another day. We called back before closing the next day (they never called to give an update, we had to call) and was told the new water pump they had just put on was bad. Day 3, they replaced the water pump again. Overall this was a terrible experience and I wouldn’t even let them put air in my tires. Hopefully there’s no permanent damage to the car since the manager allowed the car to be driven back to the shop and overheating on the way.

I just had my oil and filter changed in addition to a tire rotation. The service was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, this was the second time in a row that my truck was a full quart low immediately following the oil and filter change at this location. Both times I pointed this out to the staff, they quickly added the correct amount of oil. The engine is large and specs state that it requires 7.9 quarts with an oil and filter change. My invoice showed exactly 7.9 quarts, so I was billed for the correct amount, but shorted both times. Hopefully, this is not a common practice for Firestone. Other than that, the service was good and seemed to be thorough.
