I recently had a very disappointing experience here. When I picked up my vehicle, the final bill was higher than the quoted amount. I asked for an explanation, but one of the employees spent about 15 minutes trying to figure it out and wouldn’t let me speak to the manager at first. When the manager finally came, he corrected the total, but it turned out they had increased the labor charge without notifying me. It was handled very unprofessionally. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Ulysses was the best and truly went over and above. He needs to be noticed and his attitude and commitment should be honored. He does the right thing not because he directly benefits but because it’s the right thing to do. My fiance’s car was having issues in south austin and she lives in North Austin. We were bouncing around from place to place trying to get a solution before everywhere shutdown. At the 2nd to last place, we figured it out but they couldn’t help. I decided to call the Firestone in North Austin as a hail mary because every place I called had a terrible automated voice call service and whenever I got a hold of someone it took all of 2 seconds to request I go back on hold. I even had people answer and then hang up the second I talked. So my hopes were not high but Ulysses answered. He didn’t overcommit, he came up with a logical solution. He was clear and presented the plan but this location closed at 7:00. He said “no problem” and stayed 40 min to receive my car and document it to be fixed the next day. He didn’t overcommit, he just spent the time to develop and present a solution clearly and then when it was all said and he showed up. It was not complex or hard to do what he did, it just takes character that is hard to develop and uncommon to find. Thank you, Ulysses

We requested an appointment online, confirmed with 2 different people over the phone. Our appointment was at 5 for an inspection and ac diagnostic. I showed up to my appointment a few minutes early and according to Damien (whom we had spoken and confirmed with earlier ) we never confirmed an appointment over the phone and their inspector left at 4. No attempt was made to reconcile and reschedule. No remorse was shown for the complete waste of time. If the inspector leaves at 4 there were at least 2 opportunities to inform us. Damien couldn’t care less. He just sat there staring at us blankly so we are taking our business somewhere else. I have included my confirmation email.

Stopped on for a squeaky right tire. Office was kinda busy but the person up front (Ulises) still took the time to greet me and let me know someone would help me soon. Luckily Ulises was the person I spoke with after my vehicle had been diagnosed. He was very thorough in his explanation as to what the problem was and what it would take to have the vehicle repaired. Dropped my Jeep off Saturday Nov 1 for an oil-pressure warning. They told me they couldn’t look at it because “the warranty company isn’t open on weekends.” I called the warranty myself later. Guess what? They are open on Saturdays and nobody from Firestone ever called. Strike one. Monday morning Nov 3 9am. asked for an oil pressure test I drop off then I get the work order, so I call to confirm they’re doing the right diagnostics. Ron/Rob tells me my car is next and they have to do engine “diagnostics first” before calling warranty. He says I’ll have an update in an hour and a half. Two hours later I call again and suddenly “there were other cars ahead” of me. So it went from my car is next to we haven’t even touched it but it was next for sure. I call back again, and a different person tells me the service manager said they couldn’t start because they needed warranty to approve diagnostics and they “can’t get ahold of them.” Another lie. I called warranty myself. They confirmed nobody from Firestone called, and also “warranty approves repairs AFTER diagnostics, not before.” Warranty then called Firestone for me. The level of runaround here was ridiculous. I called Cody the manager told him about my experience, he sifts the subject to how my warranty company is strict and he is trying to provide proof because they know it is the oil switch and that he has co prove that they are running diagnostics on it and after will test drive it, he tells me they don't do oil pressure test the very thing i asked for.. Didn't address my issues with his service. I even recorded the conversation with him. I go pick up the car, ask what the outcome was. I get, “Diagnostics were clean, we drove it, nothing’s wrong, we checked the oil switch.” I asked for diagnostic results. They can’t provide anything. No oil-pressure reading, no report, nothing. I recorded that conversation to. I am going to escalate this so damn hard and keep escalating and god forbid i have car trouble. I have them telling me my car is good to go. This is a safety-critical system. They marked my vehicle as safe without performing the required pressure test. That puts the engine and my safety at risk. So let’s summarize: • Lied about warranty hours • Lied about contacting warranty • Lied about my vehicle being “next” • Lied about needing warranty approval before diagnostics • Claimed diagnostics were done but can’t show any results • Admitted they don’t do the actual test needed for an oil-pressure issue I had to Uber home and back for this circus. I recorded the conversations because at a certain point it was obvious I needed receipts. I’m escalating with corporate. If my engine ends up damaged because the proper test wasn’t done, I want it documented that this shop dismissed the warning instead of diagnosing it correctly. If you're dropping off a vehicle here, don’t assume “diagnostics” means they actually tested anything. Ask for proof up front. If they don't provide or you're being misled. File your reviews and complaints not just with them but with the BBB. Don't accept the runaround they give. They will try to brush you off hoping you go away. Don't give in. Keep escalating. I am.

I’m coming back again to get my tire replaced. However, three weeks ago I came in near closing and was assisted with fixing another tire on my care that popped, very quickly. I was able to make it to my son’s daycare in time, so I wasn’t charged a late fee. I am so grateful for the discounts they told me about within the app, because finances have been very tough lately. Oh! Did I mention I interrupted their meeting and they still assisted me? Everyone here is so very patient and kind! Thank you Firestone! I called at 5:55pm to get an appointment set up very last minute as I just found out my tire had some bad damage and was about to go out. They got me in for a 6pm appointment even with their shop looking almost full of vehicles. Ulises helped check me in and gave excellent service. Robert was the one who performed the tire change on the car. From the phone call to check in, then actually getting the tire changed took less than 1 hour and they performed excellent service. Price was very reasonable. I would recommend this shop to anybody who needs tire service. I really appreciate Ulises and Robert for the help!

I needed to get my vehicle state emissions done, so I called FireStone at 11:41, was told there was an opening the same day at 12, arrived a few minutes before, taken right away, and I was handed my keys by 12:27. When I walked in, I told the very nice woman at the desk I knew I needed an oil change, my regular mileage maintenance, and other things, but at this time I was not interested in getting these things done. I was not rude I simply let her know ahead of time. (I was just laid-off and only want to do the minimum - my vehicle is a 2024 and in great shape so I’ll be fine until I have an income agin). When my vehicle was done she did not try to up sell me or anything. She simply mentioned what they recommended I have done and that the prices for those would be listed on the bill. I paid what I owed for the emissions test, and I walked away. They were fast, polite, not pushy, and I appreciated their service. From Initial phone call, to service completed and keys in hand - in under 45 min. with no pushy up-sell. I’ll be back for sure.
