As a first-time accident victim, I was scared and completely confused. After having the unfortunate experience of being rear ended, the team at Fix Auto Garden Grove made my time away from my Truck a pleasantly positive experience by making me laugh and it was very easy to walk away from there without feeling like my truck would not be safe there!! I had just arrived to California, with my vehicle smashed from weather conditions; eager to help me, coo was overly nice, reassuring me time & again, “bc you’re new to the area& alone, I want to help you.” Never would I have imagined he would take advantage of my situation; buckle up. Not 24 hours after I got my car back, my car battery died & another owner, “tech” wasn’t surprised at all. He came to jump my car, & you guessed it; he said, “looks like you need a new battery !” They’d just been paid $6k from State Farm & $500 deductible from me. Now they’d squeeze me for “$150 battery, I won’t charge you for labor,” he says, insisting I get it done, “asap: you don’t wanna risk anything.” Being from the east coast, I remembered auto zone has batteries & will install for free ! In the pouring rain, PJ comes out w his screwdriver to find, “someone loosened your battery hinge, so you’d have to get a new one.” He tightened the bolt, & I didn’t need a new battery after all. What would coo & tech do with a battery that hadn’t died ? Sell it to you ? I’m terrified of what else they loosened; sick about it, in fact. What a shame; to take advantage of a single girl. Ps. My car was returned to me dirty & dusty as ever, might I add, after 18 days in a rental.
