Ok so first off this place was referred to me by AAA after being rear ended and pushed into another car. My car was good before and ran bad after the crash. First glance the place was friendly and the lady at the front desk is the sweetest person ever. Best customer service….. but it goes DOWNHILL fast. I told them the car sounded like a Harley Davidson after it got hit. I was sandwiched between two cars and was jolted hard. Both other cars had a lot of damage externally, mine seemed ok externally but ran horribly after. I thought maybe the muffler or exhaust. I get a call back and they only wanted to fix cosmetic stuff. They told me the way it was running was due to wear and tear and not the crash. I love my car. I take good care of it. I am VERY disappointed. What’s the point of a cosmetic fix when the car doesn’t run well. They proceeded to do the cosmetic repair without my approval and it affected how the insurance company would proceed with the repair process. Then it seemed they wanted to backtrack for not being thorough in the inspection of the car and submitted a secondary report to AAA. They seem loyal to keeping costs down for AAA at the expense of customers. Not a good experience.

Horrible Experience!! Took my car for minor bumper repairs. My car was at their premises for almost 3 weeks. As soon as I picked it up I noticed my license plate was missing (they forgot to put it back). Within minutes of driving off the tire liner fell off. Took another week for them to replace it. Then I noticed my car had been vandalized and broken into. They claimed it didn’t happen at their premises because the alarm system did not go off. Yet manager confirmed alarm was not set on two different occasions. It’s been over a month of phone calls and e-mails. Till this day the repairs they agreed too have not been resolved. Never have a worked with a business with such poor work ethics and reliability.

Jose did great making sure I was updated on my vehicle and its process. Chris was also very professional when it came to pick up day on explaining the details im the car. Two amazing people and the work on my vehicle was top notch, I was concerned that they couldn't match the paint bc it's unique but they hit the nail on the head, came out perfectly! I had a very difficult experience with this body shop receptionist is very kind but the estimator was a very hard person to talk to very confrontational very aggressive when I had pointed out that the repairs on my vehicle were not done they became very defensive both the estimator and the manager. I went in for a bumper repair and my bumper is an active bumper so upon inspection they should have known that it has moving parts and that there are buttons inside the vehicle that make those parts move and work, which makes me believe that they did not do a thorough inspection on the bumper. I was called twice that my car was done of both times they were wrong and on the second time they had Body Shop men come and tell me that it was a maintenance issue not a accident but admittedly they did say they did not know what they were working on which already kind of tells me that they did not know what they were doing so I then proceeded to leave my vehicle and let them know to give my insurance a call letting them know what the next steps are, they did the right thing by admitting that they did not know what they were doing to my insurance they then proceeded to call a third party tech which admitted that the issue with my bumper was related to the accident and they fixed it afterwards the bumper looked good brand new and everything works normal again. The takeaway from all of this is that they should be transparent and honest to the customers when talking about anything regarding the vehicle that they are working on and listen to the customer instead of being defensive and argumentative I will definitely not come back but if they change their attitude and their approach to repairs maybe things can be better

I dropped off my truck on 5/8/2024. I was kindly greeted by the Fix Auto staff immediately. But first I should add Fix Auto staff call me that same morning stating that I can bring my vehicle (Chevy Silverado 2017 crewcab),that morning. Since I was very close to the repair shop and off this day and I really wanted my truck repaired quickly. They gave me an estimated finish date of 5/24/24. Not only did they finish my vehicle sooner than estimated (5/17/24) they also detailed (clean/polish) the inside as well as the outside of my vehicle. Also the warranty of this repair is for the lifetime of my vehicle. I recommend this repair shop to anyone who wants above and beyond service and outstanding quality of workmanship.

Amazing customer service…from the front desk to all those who I came in contact with and talked to on the phone. I was updated on the repairs throughout the week. And when I picked up my car, all the repairs and body work were of excellent quality. They even detailed the inside of my car!!! There is so much more I can say about this shops customer service! Really great experience with Fix Auto Montclair. Went through my insurance to have my front fender and side panel fixed and replaced. They were very nice and thorough and even got my car back to me 5 days earlier than expected. I had an estimate done at another place, and Fix Auto was the most reasonable. Also, my car was returned to me washed and looked brand new which I really appreciated. Paperwork was detailed and explained clearly to me at check-in and check-out.
