One of a kind and you don't find fair mechanic shops like this anymore. I have used this shop for approx. 14 years. Not a lick em' and stick em' inspection station all the while they do not push parts, products, or unnecessary service. If you want quality service and drive away knowing your vehicle is in safe operating condition I highly recommend this shop.

Fran's is a great place for inspection! Every year I hold my breath for the $. Have an older vehicle and decide if it is worth it to because I figure my car's value isn't worth too much. Each time I have been pleasantly surprised! Very honest and doesn't try to get me to spend on things not necessary. Fran and Alex are you super nice and I recommend them for sure.

It’s rare these days to find someone in the auto repair world who is not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely honest and that’s exactly what I found here. From the moment I brought my car in, I felt like I was in good hands. Second time taking my vehicle to Fran's and I'm once again satisfied. I've dealt with Alex (I think he may run the shop now) - he's friendly and helpful, but not pushy. Prices were very fair - their charge for front brakes/rotors plus a few other small maintenance items was 40% LESS than the quote from an independent auto shop down the road (and likely even lower vs dealership). And compared to my rear brake job from 3 years ago, Fran's hadn't inflated their prices/labor as much as most places. I've just used them for basics (brakes, belts, oil, inspection, etc), but I've had no issues and been very satisfied with their work. Overall: a small, honest, fairly-priced, non-pushy, reliable auto shop that has earned my repeat business. One small negative: communication. They don't have a secretary or office staff manning the phone, so I generally don't have success reaching them with a call. Maybe they do fine returning voicemails, but I'm not a voicemail guy. Instead, I've just stopped by and Alex has always promptly greeted me from the garage and gotten me scheduled.

This is a funny review, not so funny for the business owner. Just moved in the area and this shop is the closest with great reviews. Brought in my brand new Tesla Model Y Long Range for state inspection. I was declined to get a same day state inspection and was given an option 34 days out on the next month! What will you inspect on a brand new car??? Fastest way to lose a customer. Booked a next day state inspection with Tires Plus Harrisburg.

We have been utilizing Fran's Car Care for approximately two years now to take care of a Subaru and a Honda. Alex is friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. It is difficult to find a local, reputable shop these days with so many places being corporate owned. We enjoy the personalized service that we receive. Yes, you need to call in advance for appointments. Well worth the wait if it is not an emergency!
