I recently visited Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Lexington for service on my vehicle, and I wanted to share my experience in detail. Overall, the customer service was excellent, and the knowledge of the staff—especially Jeremy in the service department—stood out immediately. My interaction with Jeremy was genuinely one of the best I’ve had with any service provider. He was patient, respectful, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I greatly appreciated. I brought my Jeep in for two concerns. The first was a potential coolant leak. The team handled this thoroughly by pressure-testing the cooling system overnight. They left the system pressurized long enough to be confident in the results, and in the morning there was no PSI drop, indicating no leak. This gave me significant reassurance, and I’m thankful for the careful approach they took in ruling out any major issues. My second concern was a chirping noise coming from the engine area. Unfortunately, this issue was not resolved. I was told the technician couldn’t find anything, but immediately after picking up the vehicle, I heard the same chirping noise as soon as I stopped at a traffic light. Because of that, I still don’t know whether the serpentine belt, belt tensioner, or idler pulley may be failing. That lack of clarity was disappointing. While I appreciate the time and professionalism of the staff, especially Jeremy, I ultimately didn’t feel that the $225 I paid provided the answers I needed for both of my concerns. The coolant investigation was handled extremely well, but I left with no additional understanding of the chirping noise that originally concerned me. I would still recommend the service department for their customer service, but I hope to see more thorough diagnostics on issues that remain unresolved if that means paying more for an extra process or time please be upfront and let your client know what to truly expect.

Do not go without a laptop or iPad! They do everything on PC and will NOT give you paper copies and then say they “downloaded” all the paperwork to thumb drive! In my case , they downloaded NONE of the financial paperwork which I did not check until couple days later, and then NOONE from dealership would return a message! Long story short , I found out a day after I called dealership, when finance company sent my payment app , saw the principal amount was almost 5k more than what we signed for! And 1800$ of that is he has price of vehicle higher than what was advertised and negotiated on!! GM will not respond to emails either , not just the finance department.. having to go different avenues now to get something done to hopefully recoup the “lost” money … EDIT I finally got in touch with Ryan, and he was amazing! He was not anyone we had any contact with at the dealership, but he took all my information and worked on it and kept in touch with me until he got a resolution!! All has been corrected and a big THANK YOU to him and the others involved in the correction!! 👍🏻

We recently bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Freedom Dodge in Lexington, Ky. Josh Bryant was the salesman. My husband and I have bought several cars throughout our lives at different dealerships but this, by far, was the easiest purchase we’ve ever made when I comes to buying a new car. Josh went out of his way to make this a most pleasant experience for us. He didn’t pressure us into buying a vehicle but instead listened intently to what we wanted. That was so helpful for us. He diligently searched until he found exactly what we wanted and kept in touch with us during the entire process. Another thing Josh did was to help us get the best deal for our money. Who wouldn’t appreciate that! Even after we bought the car Josh has reached out to assure us if we had any questions or concerns that he would help us in anyway possible and he definitely has. I bought a used 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and Gannon Lynch was my salesperson. Dealing with Auto Dealerships is not my favorite thing to do , but Gannon was very easy to work with. On second day using the van a warning light came on about the battery, I called Gannon and he said bring it in and he would have service check it out, they replaced both the battery's. A few days later the brakes on the Van seemed like they did not release completely, again Gannon said bring it in to and he would have the service dept. check it out, they had to order some parts and they flushed the entire system out and they work great not. The bottom line is Gannon is very easy to work with, and he cares about his customers.

I dealt with Gannon over the phone for a couple weeks before I bought my truck from them, he was really helpful, answered all of my questions quickly, sent me all the pictures I asked for, and told me everything I needed to do beforehand. I found a used car I was interested in online and while in Lexington I suggested to my boyfriend we at least go look at it. At least we were greeted immediately and test driving the car was no hassle and fairly easy. After looking at the vehicle myself I seen that it needed a new serpentine belt, needed new brakes and rotors and the tire pressure sensor needed to be replaced. When discussing the sale the sales rep, Tim, kept speaking to my boyfriend, not me. Even though I inquired about the vehicle and would be buying it. I told the sales rep what my down payment would be which was well above %10 and what I wanted to pay monthly, which was not unreasonable whatsoever for a car that was $11K. Tim came back and told me the total price for the car would be $16K, asked for a down payment that was $2,000 more than I told him what I was willing to pay which was already %10 down and a monthly payment that was twice what I told them I wanted to pay so around $400…. For a $11K car…. He kept wasting our time by saying he would speak to the manager and waiting around 10-30 minutes each time. We were there for a total of 2 hours. He kept telling us lies like this was the lowest price he could give us, that they couldn’t sell the car without the powertrain warranty that was an extra $3,000 and that someone would be coming to buy the car tomorrow and it’s still showing available on their website two days later. I had enough and went to go wait in my boyfriend’s car since Tim was only talking to him anyway and barely acknowledged me at all. Then yesterday my boyfriend received a call from the dealership- again, not me- even though they had my phone number and name from where I originally inquired about the car online. My boyfriend explained our visit from the previous night and the person who called who wasn’t even Tim said they’d call us back, they never did. I found a much better car that was a better model three years newer and much less miles for $13K out the door and the dealership actually spoke to me and was respectful and didn’t waste our time. I’m not sure how exactly this place has such a high review rate if this is the average experience but I felt very insulted by the sale they were trying to give us and by the way I was personally treated.

I recently bought a truck and had a great experience at the dealership. Sales consultant Michael Laile was fantastic to work with—he really took the time to answer all my questions and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The manager, Al, was also very helpful and made the whole process smooth. When it came to financing, Heath the finance manager was transparent and efficient, making sure I understood all my options without any pressure. Overall, I felt comfortable and confident in my decision. The best car buying experience I've ever experienced, I came from out of state and they got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend this team if you’re in the market for a vehicle, first class all the way!

One of the worst Dodge dealerships in Lexington. I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from this location or have their car serviced here. If possible, I suggest driving to Louisville instead. My experience with the service department was extremely disappointing. Service Advisor Kyle O’B. was rude and sarcastic in his communication. Jeremy M., another service advisor, was dismissive and lacked basic customer service professionalism. Both representatives spoke in a belittling tone, despite me remaining calm and composed throughout the entire interaction. I initially brought my vehicle in because a “Service Gear Shifter” warning appeared on my dashboard. I have been to this location several times before and clearly explained the issue. However, my concerns were brushed off. Jeremy M. instructed me to leave the car for what he described as an electronic update. After keeping my vehicle for six days, the issue was not resolved. In fact, the car’s condition worsened. I was still charged for the update, even though it did not fix the problem. I was then told I would need to pay $5,000 for a new transmission. Seeking a second opinion, I took my vehicle to a local independent shop. They diagnosed and repaired the issue for less than $500. This experience left me beyond disappointed. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and to receive competent service, especially when dealing with significant automotive concerns. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

My Service Manager Tyler and the entire staff here at Freedom took great care of me and my Jeep Cherokee when I was here. It was my first time working with them at this dealership. I noticed my Jeep Cherokee was having some brake pad wear down so I took it in to get it checked out. And I definitely noticed an alignment from these potholes around here. Tyler advised me about the rear brakes and that the tires on my Jeep were the wrong size for my vehicle and were all different sizes each. So that probably had an extra effect on the braking also. Tyler recommended replacing all four tires and the brakes. It’s riding and driving great now thanks to the awesome staff here at Freedom.

I live 45 miles away from this dealership. I came here for the service center. Now I don't pretend to be a mechanic, that was my dad. However I am really handy with a wrench. There are several dealerships much MUCH closer to my house there is a reason I brought my vehicle to Freedom Chrysler and it's the amazing customer service. I had just about given up with trying to get my ABS module programmed because of all of the other dealerships in the area had treated me so poorly or had zero idea what they were doing it became extremely frustrating. With being in some of the local car groups in the area asking questions I knew I was going to get great care here. Russ took fantastic care of me. He went above and beyond. It's the treatment my dad used to do with his shop. It's rare to see that at a dealership. Definitely restored my faith i can go to a dealership again and I absolutely will be back.

My family bought a new Durango from Mike. The experience was among the best we’ve had even though they may have been having technical issues with computers at the time. They were flexible and made our deal work despite some challenges. They offered a more than fair offer on our trade and were transparent throughout the process. The only improvement I could suggest comes from the detail department. Our new car was not detailed well at all. For a car with 13 miles, the center console had drink stains and there was dirt and debris throughout the vehicle. Buy a car here, but don’t expect a super thorough detail.

Just bought a used ‘25 Tundra from Gannon at Freedom and he and the whole staff made the process as easy as I’ve ever dealt with at any dealership. Straightforward and no BS (best I can tell anyways lol) and felt no pressure at all to make a decision one way or the other. It’s nice to walk into a dealership and not be swarmed by salesmen. I live 1-1/2hrs north of the dealership and it was worth the drive for that pressure free laid back experience vs convenience. We will be back for sure!
