The owner, Tony, is an awesome dude. My truck broke down while traveling through the area and was towed to his shop on a Sunday when they are closed. Tony happened to stop by and spent time, assisting me to get the repair done so I could get back on the road. He even ordered parts to be delivered to me and put it on his account. Only an honest, good person would do something like that. I would trust any work this owner says my vehicle needs and any work they do. I wish I could give 10 STARS. Sincerely...Thanks Tony

These guys are the best! I was on my way to Arizona and my breaks went out right before I hit Merced. I called them at 8 and they got me in 10 minutes later, fixed my breaks, (also communicated with me the whole time about what was going on with my breaks), and got me back on the road before noon. They genuinely care about their customers and their vehicles. If you’re going to take your car anywhere for repair DEFINITELY GO HERE!

I took my car to G Street Automotive because I thought I had a blown spark plug. I spoke with Tony who gave me a quote of $250 for the repair. I asked them to change the spark plugs while they were at it. They diagnosed that I had a defective coil on cylinder 2. This repair can be done much more easily than a repair for a blown plug. Each spark plug has a coil that has to be removed to change the spark plugs. They charged me $180 labor for the spark plug repair. They then charged me $120 to change the spark plugs. On top of that, they charged me $102 for one coil. I can find 4 coils on line for $64. The local auto supply stores will sell you 4 top of the line coils for around $100. I don’t begrudge them making a profit on the sale of parts but 400% is way over the top. They also charged me $84 for spark plugs that would have cost around $20 from a local parts store. This experience makes me doubt their integrity. Rather than use these guys, I believe you would be better served to throw $200 in the gutter next to a homeless camp.

They didn't fix my check engine light issue and was charged almost $200. First initial call, I was told they'd do a full diagnose check and after 4-5 hrs later ALL they did was replaced the gas cap. Check engine light still didn't get fixed If I can give a zero star I would.!!

My Car was STOLEN FROM them! I can't express how utterly dismayed and enraged I am by the experience I had at this mechanic shop. Not only did they fail to provide the service they were entrusted with, but they also managed to let my car get stolen right under their noses. The nightmare began when I took my car to this mechanic shop for what should have been a routine repair. Little did I know that it would turn into a disaster. Instead of receiving professional service, I was met with negligence and incompetence. The mechanics not only failed to fix the issue I brought the car in for but also somehow allowed it to be stolen from their premises. The fact that my car was stolen while in their care is inexcusable. A mechanic shop should be a place of trust and reliability, but this establishment shattered that trust entirely. I never thought I'd be writing a review about a stolen car due to a mechanic's irresponsibility. Dealing with the aftermath of the theft was a bureaucratic nightmare. Not only did I have to file a police report and deal with my insurance company, but I was also left without a vehicle, facing additional expenses and inconveniences that were not my fault. I implore anyone considering this mechanic shop to think twice. Their lack of professionalism and inability to protect their customers' property is simply unacceptable. This experience has left me emotionally and financially drained, and I hope no one else has to endure such a dreadful ordeal. In summary, this mechanic shop's negligence and inability to secure their premises resulted in the theft of my car, creating a traumatic and costly experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Steer clear of this establishment at all costs

Have to edit this. They didn't deserve to have a 5 star rating whatsoever! They don't even deserve 1 star. It took forever to post this, but people do not go here. Seriously, people!!! These people do not have the knowledge to work on newer vehicles. I paid over 2k for a turbo, and guess what? After a day, my car started acting the same as if it had never been changed out. They said oh they didn't know why it was doing that. They would have to call someone out of state to troubleshoot the issue. I would have to leave my car overnight at times. This was my source of transportation and was a huge inconvenience. Especially being they didn't know what they were doing was more frustrating. They were quick to take my money, though. My car was like that for a while after. I had to just give up because they just didn't want to help me, and I was now out that money. They never troubleshoot the issue, and they never compt me for their lack of knowledge and not fixing the issue. Disappointed!!

DO NOT GO HERE! We took our car in to get fixed for overheating, they told us it was because of the thermostat or something like that, and we agreed to get that fixed for ($400 almost $500). We picked the car up the next day and within an hour of driving it, it was overheating AGAIN!!! We took it in for overheating, and it wasn’t fixed so why the hell are they wanting to charge us ANOTHER $400 dollars to fix what THEY SHOULD’VE‘ FIXED IN THE FIRST PLACE. It makes no sense and you guys should do your job and stop taking advantage of people.

3/3/1025 My check engine light came on in my truck. I took it to G Street Auto. Tony and his team do an awesome job. I actually brought it in a week before, but the part had to come from the dealership. The part was delayed, and Tony kept me updated on when it arrived. I brought my truck back, and they took care of the issue. Since it has something to do with the smog, I just need to bring it back after 100 miles. 👌🏾

Went in for 2 tires (one had unusual wear), alignment, oil change, and asked them to check the brakes. They charged too much for all that ($1k) but they were recommended by a gearhead friend so I figured they would be pretty competent. They weren't. A little over a month later my son was driving home and noticed a grinding sound. The brakes were completely gone. I gave an extra star because the person I dealt with was reasonable and refunded me $30. Judging by the reviews, it seems to really be a case of hit or miss with G St. I won't be gambling with the safety of my children.

My opinion is that this place should should have a lower rating then 4.3, they don't live up to their word. And one of my pet peeves is when you ask for the old parts back and they throw them out (WHAT THE HELL) They EVEN wrote it down!!🤯🤯

I bought a 1995 Chevy Silverado that needs TLC I take my ride to Gst Auto Care. The brake lights were not working at all. They found the issue called me with the diagnostic and price out the door. I trust them and I’ll continue to go there. The can see the vision I have for this Old pickup truck and I appreciate that. As a matter fact it’s there now. New issue, new challenge, guarantee they will figure it out. 🙂

My truck engine light returned after a gas cap replacement. They determined I needed a standard cap. Great to know that was the single problem. No one wants the engine light on lol. Courteous, thorough and friendly. I have a new shop to rely on. 4 star because I believe 5 is always achieved through time and experience with a vendor.

Anthony, Tony and Joe are almost kin as often as I seem em haha... G Street takes care of multiple vehicles in my household. From 2012 Volvo to 1973 Ford Econoline and all between. The Holley EFI and ignition they installed on my van was night and day better. G Street is my go to garage for the foreseeable future.
