I went to Big O Tires for a pre-trip inspection, and they recommended a tire change. After the replacement, my car started bouncing badly on the highway, forcing me to cancel my trip. The experience was awful. They tried to charge me again for diagnostics on a problem that only began after their “inspection and tire change.” The tires were clearly not balanced properly, yet they asked for more money to correct it. On top of that, they pushed unnecessary services under the excuse of “figuring out the problem.” A complete waste of money and time, I’m highly dissatisfied with their service.

Be ready for the ol bait and switch. They'll tell you 1 price on the phone then when you get there, try and charge you more. I called and asked for a quote for a specific service and when I got there they conveniently left off stuff that I wanted done(and had specifically asked about when I called). Then wanted to charge me more for the work I was told on the phone was included. Won't be going back and don't recommend anyone else go there either. EDIT TO ADD, Reached out like they asked me to and never heard anything back. Sad because I had planned to spend quite a bit on new rims and tires but this experience definitely put me off.

Great work! I still need alot done to my van but they did a oil change, changed the brakes, new gas cap, spark plugs, changed the tires and diagnosed other problems o have to get done. I payed like $1,123 and my car is back and running good. Josh helped us out, he was so friendly and he listened to my issues with the van. He explained everything that was going to happen.. got me a overall quote and later explained what was left to do. He did suggest what is more important and he understood that in the near future I will be able to get the rest done. He wasn't pushy or rude. The shop is very clean and it was relatively busy, but the service was fast. Thank you so much Josh! I'll definitely be back. I'm glad my friend Dj, Judy and Keri recommended Big -O

Being new to the area, I wasn't sure where to turn, but I am incredibly grateful I ended up at Big-O Tires in Merced. From the moment I pulled in, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. I want to give a massive shout-out to Josh. In a situation that felt like a total emergency, he stepped up with a level of professionalism and efficiency that is rare to find. He understood the urgency of my situation and managed to get my truck into the shop and completely serviced within just two hours. What could have been a long, drawn-out ordeal was handled with impressive speed, getting me back on the road much faster than I anticipated. The service itself was fantastic, but it was the "above and beyond" attitude that really stood out. Since I’m brand new to the region, Josh took the time to give me some invaluable tips for traversing Central California. His local knowledge on the best routes and driving conditions was exactly the kind of "welcome to the neighborhood" gesture I needed. It turned a stressful mechanical repair into an educational and welcoming conversation. Beyond the expert mechanical work, the atmosphere of the shop was incredibly calming. The waiting area featured fresh coffee, which was a nice touch, and the entire staff was polite and attentive. Finding honest, affordable service in a pinch is a huge relief. To show my appreciation for their hard work and the short turnaround time, I ended up bringing the crew lunch. It felt like the least I could do for a team that treated me with such respect and urgency. I had the pleasure of getting my van serviced for the air cool rebate program and just let me say that the employees were super helpful and professional I made an appointment and had my van fixed the same day actually in just a few hours... and they not only just serviced my A/C unit they did a look over and let me know that a few things needed to be replaced soon so im definitely going to be coming back for some tires friendly professional reasonable and all around great service thank u Big O tires they also do some mechanical services as well someone recommend them to me and now im recommending them tooo u all
