Update: I showed up not expecting anything besides buying other stuff and ask for the tires I need, a young Buddy at the desk was very proactive helping every single one in the line and fast also coordinating with the technicians, basically leading the área.. I'm impressed 👍 by the way bilingual, he arranged me an appointment right away and got my car back in an hour. That's the people needed in places like that. Downside is Walmart online isn't booking appointments anymore and associates are so busy to be answering calls. Better show up two days before and make an appointment.

If you can avoid this place, do it. I went to get tires. The mechanic needs some education as he entered the shop desk. He didn't even look at me or said any greetings, knowing that I'd asked for help. I'll give this place a -10. Whoever is in charge should get more attention when hiring personnel

Las week I had an oil change at merced store. Before a trip. After an hour driving I heard a wire noise I pull over and I found that the guys forgot to put back the crews and fasteners for the engine cover that pice has hanging under the engine.

My car was taken for an oil change and it came out with a broken oil cap the manager came up and said take the car to a mechanic to get it fixed and will pay you back in full. I went and got it fixed and got the receipt ended up paying more than $400. Went back to Walmart and asked for the manager was told he wasn’t there. When back the next day asked for the manager once he saw who it was he stop in his tracks. Told him that I got the receipt to show he the price so he can pay back as he promised and now he’s coming up with excuses that he didn’t remember, he doesn’t know who I am and he isn’t paying. This Walmart location has been getting away with too many “accidents” their mechanics are not well trained nor skilled at what they are paid to perform at. The Manager of this location has been sweeping every dirty laundry under the rug and it has to stop!

Auto Care Manager went over and beyond the system, would not release the purchased tires to the installation (computer problem) stayed on the phone with experts in East Coast. Still was not able to complete the installation of new tires. Refund takes 7 to 10 Days. Double check my card hope that's not a problem. Thank you Merced Walmart.

besides the associate (keyword) , Jess refused our service for acknowledging that she didn’t serve us for almost 20 minutes. she refused us and claimed that we had an attitude, as she stormed about and door shut behind her. “great customer service”

The service at this place is absolutely unacceptable. It seems like the staff may not be properly trained, as the customer service is consistently poor. There's a noticeable lack of attentiveness, and the level of rudeness is shocking. It's truly baffling how this location continues to attract customers. Truly horrible!

Took along time to get 4 new tires on my vehicle. After the techs were finished they DID NOT RESET my tire sensor like they said they would. Literally had to go somewhere else for them to reset that sensor😒😒 on top of that they are EXTREMELY SLOW for an oil change! Took 4.5 hours on a Saturday early morning. I’d rather drive to LB and get this done, way more faster and definitely more professional.

Took to long to fix 1 tire. I was there for 2 hours. Guy that fixed my tire was slow. They need someone younger who moves faster.

WARNING: OPEN YOUR OIL IN FRONT OF THEM TO MAKE SURE YOU DIDN'T BUY USED OIL! In June, (6/17 at 8:36 AM if you feel like looking up the footage. I'm wearing a gray hat and a black facemask) I purchased a 5 Quart jug of Super Tech OW-20 oil from this Auto Care Center and, two months later (August,) I got around to my oil change. To my surprise, the jug was open, filled with used motor oil. This Auto Care Center sold me used motor oil. They deny this. I recognize I should've gotten to it sooner, but, then again, if this never happened to you, do you inspect your motor oil to see if it's open after you buy? I tried to return it and, since I bought it two months ago and I can't prove I didn't bring them back old oil myself, they refused me. The manager did imply that I intended to cheat them out of $18.98 plus tax as only people who one-up Walmart and steal ever do this type of thing. TL;DR - Even though motor oil is behind lock and key, double check your jug of oil in front of them after you buy it. I don't know how it happened to me, but mistakes happen. If you happen to buy used oil, you'll be out $20-$40 and have no recourse.

On top last service when they checked tire pressure they forgot to put air valve back and by next day my car was totally flat and rim came off i had to pay for tow to get my car to walmart back so they can fix

Employees are in no rush ,extremely long wait lines. When you look in the garage the workers are standing around laughing. Waited in line for 45mins before someone helped me. Oil and grease left all over steering wheel and console. When I said I wanted to treatment done they said they couldn't do it

Had my car serviced, oil changed, and they checked everything. They are nice and knowledgeable. And the proce is reasonable. The only thing is everyone else likes them too. There were six car before me at 8 am, so I had a two hour wait. They have a nice waiting area and you can shop in the store 😉

Got a oil change July 25th. Check engine light come on today August 5th says low oil pressure turns out they never put oil back in my car surprised I didn't blow my engine... my car was surviving on what ever was left inside. I have no leak to if someone wants to say that.

I got a basic $19.88 oil change I had to wait 2.5 hours! 😰 I had McDonald's while I waited.. Shopped..browsed till i couldn't anymore. I went and asked about my vehicle and it needed 10 more minutes. For the $ I guess what should I expect?! They have seats inside to wait but if you want to go get something from your car they have to buzz you out. All the automotive associates are busy because just about everything is locked up at Wal-Mart now. The Automotive associates are friendly but you can see the stress on their face and time in their voice.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I have received at Walmart’s Auto Care Center. Within less than one year , I have experienced tire failure for the second time, despite purchasing a warranty. The handling of both situations has been unacceptable. During the first incident, I was forced to spend an entire day arguing for coverage under a warranty I had already paid for. Initially, the staff attempted to deny coverage altogether, creating unnecessary stress and inconvenience before finally addressing the issue. The second occurrence was even more frustrating. The roadside warranty was not honored, and I was told the reason for denial was that I “should have purchased roadside assistance.” This explanation is contradictory and illogical, particularly given that I did purchase a warranty specifically for protection in situations like this. The shifting explanations and refusal to provide consistent information raise serious concerns about transparency and accountability. The customer service experience was equally troubling. The coach (manager) handled the interaction in an aggressive and dismissive manner from the outset. I requested to speak directly with the store manager but was denied the opportunity and told that the store manager had already decided nothing could be done. There was no effort to de-escalate the situation, offer solutions, or demonstrate any regard for customer satisfaction. Consumers work hard for their money and deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this experience reflects a complete lack of both. Based on these repeated issues, poor communication, and refusal to honor warranty protections, this has been the worst customer service experience I have encountered. I strongly urge Walmart to reevaluate both its warranty policies and its leadership training to ensure customers are treated fairly and respectfully moving forward.
