Great service! Love the people! AC went out and I went to Luis, the owner's son, and he fixed it in 40-60 minutes! Totally helpful. Reasonable prices. In and out.

TOTALLY DISHONEST! Bought a (client’s) car from Hiro (the owner’s son)and ended up paying an additional $1,600 in repairs that were needed immediately. I met Hiro because I was next-door at Discount Auto (another place I do NOT recommend!) I was planning to buy a used Lexus and needed to know if it needed a new timing belt (if so, it would cost another $900.) Hiro said it would be time consuming to get to the timing belt, but he would do it for $30. In fact, I stood there and watched him, and it took less than five minutes (Seriously!) for him to get a look at it and see that there were cracks in the belt. If Hiro was honest, he would’ve said, “we charge _______ per hour and this will probably take me about 20 minutes. (Instead, by getting me to agree to an amount in advance, but not telling me it would only take 5 minutes, he was basically charging me a labor fee of $360 per hour!) However, I ignored being overcharged because it was much better than replacing the belt. I thanked Hiro and said that I wouldn’t be buying the Lexus from the guy next door. Then Hiro said he had a car for sale (that belonged to a client) that had been regularly maintained with Garcia’s for a few years. Hiro showed me a 2010 Mazda 6. It cost more than I was planning to pay, but before I considered buying the car I asked Hiro to be 100% honest with me. I told him I couldn’t afford to pay for additional work on the car, that my husband had passed on recently and I was completely on my own and knew nothing about cars. Plus I lived in Sedona, so it was important that this car make it home and run properly. I said, “Hiro, is this a car you would sell to your own mother?” He hesitated for a moment and said his mother drove a van, but finally said that, yes, he would sell this car to his mother. Though it was a bit of a stretch financially, I felt good about the idea that Garcia’s had been servicing the car regularly for a few years, and I thought that surely Hiro’s/Garcia’s reputation was more important than making a small percent of the sale price as a fee. First Hiro claimed that the car had been a non-smoking vehicle. A complete lie. It had 2 “Febreze” air fresheners plus a pine air freshener hanging from the mirror. I decided to overlook that detail, but it did catch my attention that he was lying to me since I could smell the smoke in the upholstery. I hoped I could get the both odors out of the car and purchased the car in cash. I took the car to my (trusted!) mechanic (Reese’s in Cottonwood 4.8 stars 587 reviews!) for an oil change and discovered the back brakes were at 10% and would require new rotors as well ($500) the driver side axle had to be replaced ($350) the transmission fluid had to be flushed ($200) and the passenger side hub bearing had to be replaced ($500) + a headlight $40 (20+$20 labor.) I know that when you buy a used car there are bound to be some things that need to be fixed, but in this case it was an additional $1,600+ that needed to be handled RIGHT AWAY or else additional damage could take place! (The car itself was only $3800). There is absolutely no way that Hiro/Garcias auto repair could have been maintaining this car on a regular basis without knowing about these issues. (Especially when you realize that my mechanic found these problems while doing a routine oil change!) There are only two choices. Either Garcia’s did the work or they didn’t. 1. IF Garcias actually DID regular maintenance work on the car - they either did a TERRIBLE job OR they advised their client of problems and the client declined to fix them. But Hiro/Garcias would still have been fully aware of the problems! 2. If they DID NOT do maintenance work on the car, then Hiro was lying just to make a few bucks on a commission. I get it, it happens, especially in the world of used car sales. But it seems very short-sighted to blatantly lie, knowing that people can and WILL give feedback online. And that feedback, like this 1-Star Review, will be online for years to come!

I waited 5 hours for an hour job. First he said 2 hours. It came and went. Another two hours. Still not ready. I've been here for an hour now "watching" them work. Now they are doing something. Maybe cuz I'm a woman they feel they can do this. But I could've done this job in an hour myself. Only reason I came here is so it would be done while I took care of some other things. Please do not come here. Cannot believe a power steering pump replacement would take 5 plus hours.

I would not trust this place with any of my cars anymore. A few years ago I took my truck in for new motor mounts and couldn't even do that. They gave me my truck back with no gas left after I had a full tank before I left it. The owners excuse was that they used it to test drive it and make sure they did the job right. 6 months later when I took my truck to a different mechanic for new injectors and when he was under the hood and noticed that my motor was no leaning to one side. Turns out the bolt keeping the motor connected to the mount on the frame was missing. He showed me and told me my mount was all bent from bouncing around and my frame was also dented in the same area. The mechanic forgot to put the bolt in and I drove around for 6 months with my motor sittng on the frame and messing the other mount up too. DONT TRUST GARCIAS WITH YOUR VEHICLE.

Today I visited one of their branches, I left my car for a checkup. When I returned, my car had some damage to the paint that they tried to cover when the manager did not want to take responsibility. I tried to contact the management by email but no one responded.

I took my vehicle here for a basic diagnostic... They first of all couldn't properly identify the problem and proceeded to give me a $300 estimate on work that could easily be done in a few minutes. While my vehicle was in their possession it was scraped on the mirror and body also the windshield was cracked!! If you choose to do business with these scamming liars TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR VEHICLE!!!!

These guys are the most reliable, hardworking mechanics I've met. They're honest, and they'll do what they can to keep you within budget. Just be prepared to be without your car for a few days, they book quickly

These guys are absolutely crooks. Took a car in for a repair, they said they fixed it and that they did an alignment, they did neither. Then there were additional issues related to their work and they attempted to charge me to fix thr problems they created. Then they wanted to charge me for work that they did without asking. Please don't send them your business.

Excellent service. They finished before they said they would. This is rare in the the car repair business. Excellent prices! I was referred by a friend. Humbert the owner is their and makes sure things are done properly. He is a very pleasant person and quite professional. Going to garages for repair is a hit and miss affair. One can't do any better than this little independently owned garage. I continue to go there because they are honest a d more than fair in their pricing. Family owned and operated.

I took my car here, and now it's making all kinds of noises after they supposedly fixed it. I believe they are scammers and don't know what they are doing. That's why I came to read the reviews.. They charged me $386.00 for labor with part only being under $37.00 And they never called us to give us a price quote, and they never called us to let us know the car was done. They were all just standing around talking when we got there. I will never bring my car here ever again... They are crooks and feed on the ignorance of people not knowing anything about cars and not how to report them or turn them into the Better Business Bureau .. I'm definitely turning them into the Better Business Bureau...

Great customer service! Was explained in detail by Luis everything that was replaced and was shown the old parts. Usually because I'm a female dealerships just try to get their payment and rush me out! Not this place answered immediately and was able to get it done within a couple hours.

No Labor performed yet but I stopped here for a second opinion. They were very friendly very helpful and assisted me immediately to provide me their professional opinion as to what's wrong with the vehicle. Based on this I definetly would come back and have my vehicle work done here. Awesome customer service and very courteous employees. 5 stars all the way for going above and beyond for someone who is not yet a customer.

I took my truck for head gaskets and ended getting a new motor from dealership I went there to check what was the problem, after they remove the engine they said it was overheating (it wasn’t) they said that there was a crack inside the block, that part where the overheating was more noticeable (it was just rust) I ask them for pictures cause that’s how they said that they checked, by camera! They said that they didn’t get any pictures but they was going to get them. When I went back to take a look at that pictures, they said that the crack wasn’t there ( what a joke ) they make a very small crack on top of the block justifying their history I ended up getting a new motor from dealership paying around 11k total They tax me $600 on top of what the cost was at dealership They charge me 450 extra for an invented issue After all that they said that it also needed new motor mounts I’ll leave some pictures of motor mounts. They doesn’t match with the vehicle. I’m very sure they had them stored and change them to use mine in another vehicle Also a picture of the “crack” Vehicle was burning anteefreze but it was just head gasket it didn’t get mixed with oil at all Estimate was 3k on labor and parts and I ended paying around 11k for all They act rude all the time since I start questioning I’m just hoping that this don’t happen to you that need your car repaired!!
