PLEASE.. do yourself a favor and never EVER go to this shop.. I went there with an emergency and I was not only treated and ridiculed by the "manager" HIS cavalier way of speaking with customers which I was... Who spent 8k+ was absolutely RIDICULOUS.. I WILL NEVER EVER GO HERE OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. My whole experience was worse than what I was faced with in the beginning... RUN.. AND NEVER LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE.. "humming/ oil fingerprints/ HORRIBLE service.. was the least to worry about... WORST EVER

Terrible service, they charge for absolutely everything. I took my car, they diagnosed and, apparently, fixed it, and in the end the car remained the same and they charged me almost 1000 dollars. It's better to take your car somewhere else.

Very honest people. My car was vibrating and making a loud humming noise. I took it to General Auto Repair and asked for diagnostics. After the diagnostics Mr. Ismael patiently explained every detail before giving me a quote. As he had predicted the noise went away, no more vibrations and the drive feels a lot more smoother. My experience with General Auto Repair was great, I can open heartedly recommend it to everyone.

The owner of myself has no integrity, I called before I came letting him know I was coming from Poway, he said he would get me it was 3:50 p.m. when I got there. He says oh no we can't do it, we close at 6:00. It apparently takes 2 hours to do a four-wheel alignment. So after wasting 45 minutes of driving in about $20 in gas, I'm told they can't and won't work today, I would have to leave it overnight 😂 $120/hr is their rate. They were going to charge me $120 to change a belt that takes 5-8minutes. You can get way better deals off of University from more reputable shops that actually have integrity and will fulfill their word, and not price rape you. Crazy with this being as close to the border as it is, I expected the lack of integrity but I did not expect the overpriced rates 😂 place is trash, I'm going to fill out a 1099 oid to make sure the IRS investigates this Place full audit UCC audit and everything.... Should always keep your integrity you never know who practices law 😂😂😂

I was tired of going to the same place I go to for an oil change. I wanted to try a different business. One of the main reasons I picked General Auto Repair for an oil change was because their website was better than others I had seen. You only get one chance to leave a first good impression, and they did. I called before going to see if they could change my oil. The person I spoke with over the phone greeted me very professionally. Once I got there, I was also treated professionally by Chris. Before changing my oil, he not only told me how bad my brakes were but also showed me. There were other issues with my car, and he took the time to show and explain everything to me. I was impressed on how knowledgeable he is. I would recommend General Auto Repair for any repairs you need for your vehicles.

General Auto Repair was extremely professional, efficient , in-expensive and fast. Went in for an oil change where another “mechanic shop” broke my dip stick and refused to fix it. Took my car for a smog check about 3 months ago and some diagnostic issues. The owner took it upon himself to “quote un quote “ fix my immediate problems without notifying me. Overcharged for everything and did almost nothing . This is a dishonest business and the people there including a young man there have terrible customer service. Do not take your car there . They charged me more than a 1000 dollars. I paid because I didn’t want any issues , but I have a civil responsibility to let the public know about this business. Thank you.

Took my car in to get the brake fluid changed and bleeded. The owner inspected the vehical instead even thoe i did not authorise this inspection and charged me for the inspection. Did not do the job i asked so i just picked up my car now im out $120 for doing nothing. When you ask for an oil change on a car you do not rotate the tires. Horrible buisness you have been warned.

I left my car key with connected AirPods to the chain. The airpods were gone after trying to change oil in my car.The owner told me to wait 45 minutes to change the oil in my car because he didn't want to burn himself. I cancel the service!! His son brought back my keys. I got back home and I discover that I don't have earbuds inside the case. I got back there and they were very rude and didn't want to return my earbuds. I don't recommend this place!!!! Avoid this place!!!!!

I brought my car here due to some codes popping up. This place was a preferred mechanic from my warranty company which is why I brought my car in the first place. The mechanic here claimed the codes were not active and they were stored codes. This was not true at all the codes are indeed current and thanks to the incompetent people that work here, I believed this and decided to keep the car and not return it when I was able to. I should also add I brought the car in THREE times and every single time they said I was over reacting and the car drove perfectly.

Good service overall, but got charge $ 60 just for installing my spare tire with no heads up about the price (in some other places they even do it for free). They have knowleadge, but have to ask them about pricing upfront.
