Ability Auto Body did a great job repairing my vehicle that had been damaged by the theft of a part. Kevin got my vehicle fixed on the same day that I had it towed onto the lot and I was able to pick up the car before closing. He was kind and professional on the phone, and chatted with me in person about how I could protect my vehicle in the future (including what other shops could help me with these next steps & for what price). Overall, it was a very helpful and pleasant experience. I have heard of this taking months to fix on other cars due to an inventory backlog on parts, so I feel very lucky about this turnaround time. Used this shop through my insurance since I backed into an object. Fast work. I was told up to 3.5 weeks received the car in about 2 weeks. Great service. The only downfall is they gave the car back dirty. My husband made sure to clean my entire car. I now have mold in my trunk under my spare tire that was not there before. It seemed to be left out in the rain and there was dust all over my back passenger seat. If you do use this shop, make sure to inspect the inside even if you just have outside damage. Edited: Always ensure you take before and after pics of your possessions. The owner reached out and corrected the issue. Like I stated before- the service is great and timely. Any issues or corrections needed, make sure to reach out to them directly! Overall enjoyed the customer service and responsiveness to customers

First off, Kevin and his team are the only people I’d trust with my car. The day it got hit, I called him and he was up front with me about how long it would take and was really kind overall. They took great care of it my car, and when I got it back, it looked brand new. They made the process easy which I appreciated. I was referred to Ability Auto Body by another shop I visited, and I’m so glad they recommended them! I had been calling around to multiple places trying to get my mud guards installed, but shop after shop declined the work. When I called Ability, Kevin was incredibly helpful and easygoing. From the beginning, communication was clear and timely. He provided a transparent quote, got me scheduled quickly, and was willing to accommodate my request—even though this wasn’t a type of job the shop typically handles. I really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to help! The whole experience was seamless! I was in and out in under an hour, and the cost was way more reasonable than what the dealership quoted me. I hit a stray tow hitch on the 5 north past Camp Pendleton and had the car initially towed to a dealer. I called Geico, who suggested I go to a Geico associated collision center. I was given 5 options, and of the 5 options I briefly searched online, Ability Auto Body had the best ratings and I felt confident to send my car there even without even setting sight or talking to the collision center. When the car arrived there, I spoke to Kevin (the owner), and I knew my car was in good hands. Kevin was so helpful explaining the process, setting me up with new tires, and the car back just as I wanted. I can't thank him and Andrew enough! Ya'll did wonders, and I'm so glad to have my car back. Fingers crossed I don't get into another collision, if I do, I'm coming back here! In the best way possible, hope I don't see you again. Happy to refer them to others though!

I was referred by a friend to come here to see if they would place a cosmetic part (specifically a Mercedes trimming) that I ordered. Kevin at Ability Auto Body said to bring it in and he will let me know whether it can just be popped on or will need some time for it to be placed on. Great repair shop! I took my car here for some bodywork after USAA claim. Kevin got me in right away and helped me get a rental car with Enterprise. The whole process went smoothly. And I got my car back just a few days later. The work done was great and the service is top tier! They even stayed a few minutes late on Friday when I got stuck in traffic so I could pick my car up before the weekend. I highly recommend this place. Getting into an accident is never a good time, and writing reviews for body shops is definitely not how anyone wants to spend their day. However, my experience with Ability Auto Body was worth sharing. I brought my car here after someone backed into it while I was parked at work. (This person luckily left a note.) The damage was extensive, affecting the front bumper, a deep scratch and dent on the passenger door, and significant impact to the driver-side door and handle. I was actually worried the entire door would need to be replaced because the handle was so badly smashed. It’s a bit of a known issue in the industry that manufacturers often don't produce the individual small parts for door handles, meaning even minor damage to the handle can require an entirely new door. I chose Ability because they were a recommended shop and were conveniently located right near the rental agency. I had my car back in top-notch condition in about two weeks. The quality of the work was excellent, but the communication stood out even more. Andrew was great to work with; he was very transparent and made sure I received regular updates throughout the process. I do recognize that my experience may be heavily influenced by the fact that I wasn't the at-fault driver. I'm sure if the damage was by my own doing and I was responsible for the costs or navigating my own policy limits, I might have a different tale to tell. However, having dealt with another not-at-fault accident earlier this year, I’ve realized that a shop’s performance is often dictated by how efficiently they manage the insurance side of things. While my previous experience with a different shop was hindered by delays, Ability handled everything with the carrier so seamlessly that the process felt effortless on my end. It really highlighted their expertise in managing the whole repair lifecycle, not just the bodywork.
