Went there this morning for a customer swap meet. Nice bikes, free coffee inside. Unfortunately, their bikes are too expensive for me.

What a great experience with Omar in Parts/Service. I was in a real jam and totaled my rim while on a bike trip. Omar was able to have a rim overnighted for me and completed the repair the same day to get me back on the road. He even was able to lower the quote he gave me because not all the parts were required. That is honesty and integrity. I can’t thank Omar enough for his professionalism and customer service!

San Diego BMW motorcycle is top tier! Everyone there is incredibly helpful. Especially Victor the service writer, that guy is a rockstar! He's very knowledgeable and patient with any questions or concerns I have regarding my F900GS. Kudos to all the techs there too, they go above and beyond when it comes to the maintenance of your motorcycle 10/10 rating.

When you first walk in there is no greeting and everyone seems busy, however after you get someone they are super friendly and helpful. So, kind of a weird experience as a customer but I am more than satisfied after all. Angelo was amazing.

If you're looking for a BMW bike, this is the place to get it, a few months later til I got the chance to give them this review. I can't be any happier, go see Alberto in Sales to get your bimmer bike, no pressure to sell you anything, will answer all of your questions and if there is a demo bike available, you will get to test ride a demo. 10/10 recommend San Diego BMW Motorcycles. I had the best experience with their service department that I think I've ever had with any dealer of any kind. I found an 18 year old 1150 GS for sale private party and flew in from out of state to ride it home. I made an appointment with San Diego BMW to inspect the bike, change some fluids, and change the tires. They allowed me to ship tires to them in advance that they didn't carry, and installed them for a very fair price. They changed all the fluids and discovered the bike needed new brake pads, so they changed those. The technician who worked on my bike stayed late to finish it so I could hit the road. Two gentlemen in the office also stayed late to cash me out. Every person there was fantastic. Knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. The bike ran flawlessly home, 1500 miles. I'm thrilled with my bike and can't recommend this dealer's service department enough. 5 stars!

I am on an overland Moro trip from Seattle to Chile. I went down hard around the salton sea and needed repairs. When I got to the dealer I was looking at 3-4 days to get my parts. This means I was going to spend as much money waiting at a hotel as the cost of the parts. The guys there took mercy on me and robbed them from a demo. Vic, and Ski took awesome care of me. Can’t say enough good about those guys. The service manager whose name I do not remember was also instrumental in getting me back to my adventure. Made it to La Paz guys, much thanks! Ps the bike is again in need of your help but will have to make it to Mexico City as is. Thanks again!

I took my G650GS in for a oil and filter change. I mentioned to Omar that there was an oil drip (one drop per ride). Oil and filter change $164.94, oil leak diagnostic $175.00. The total to "fix" the oil leak was $989.96, on top of the $175.00 diagnostic fee. There were several line items and labor. Totally acceptable, if it actually addressed the oil leak. When I got the bike back, I immediately noticed it was actually dripping probably two to three drops per ride. The oil leak was actually worse! The current leak seems to be coming from under the right side chain cover (the first picture shows some oil). This side cover needed to be removed for the oil change. Not only did the mechanic use a non-oem replacement washer, they forgot to install a different bolt (second picture). I never noticed this oil leak prior to taking the bike in for this service. I think I would have noticed this coming down the side case. So, I paid $989.96 to stop an oil leak, and that didn't work. Now they want thousands more to pull the engine and fix the leak on the right side. I asked Omar why this wasn't addressed in the first $175.00 diagnostic fee. He told me there was too much oil on that side of the engine to see it. Does that make any sense? If there is oil on the outside of the engine, maybe there's an issue there. Like I said before, I don't think oil was leaking from there before I took the bike in. In my opinion, it's not a coincidence oil is leaking from the same area where they did shoddy work. Another thing that rubs me the wrong way is the flippant attitude Omar has about my time. They use a non-oem washer and forget to install a bolt, and all he has to say is bring the bike back, leave it, and they'll fix it. What about my time, inconvenience and paying for the rides back and forth. I make it a practice not to patronize low quality, dishonest businesses. There are many other motorcycle repair facilities that do honest work and care about their clientele. I won't be going back to San Diego BMW Motorcycles unless management changes the way they treat their customers. P.S. I own several motorcycles. This is my second BMW. If this engine does need all these repairs to stop the engine from leaking oil at 8000 miles, shame on BMW. Maybe they're not the quality motorcycle they used to be.

I’d like to share about a wonderful interaction I had with Hung. He was very patient and extremely helpful with all the questions I asked. Much appreciated since I live over 1,000 miles away. The commitment to the culture really shows! Great job!

As soon as I walked in to drop off my bike for a service appointment, I was immediately assisted by Troy (Service Manager). Great guy who also recommended a good deli down the block while I waited for service to be completed. Bike was delivered on time as promised and now runs like new after 6k mile service and new Pirelli rubber front and rear. Excellent service, trustworthy mechanics, and good pricing. Highly recommend!

Called San Diego BMW after getting a better offer from another dealer. Gary was dismissive, saying they don’t negotiate and if I had “Bretter price,” I should just go there. Another salesperson claimed they don’t discount because “Marines will buy it anyway,” which felt predatory. Gary made no effort to earn my business, clearly relying on the idea that someone else would overpay. Get quotes before buying from this dealer, they won’t budge because they know they can get their business on less informed customers.

One of the best experiences with a dealership. VERY professional and cordial. I needed to purchase a special order part and the gentleman was very quick and got my order in. The estimated arrival was on point. Highly recommend this dealership. Thank you to the team!!

Scheduled my son’s bike to come in for service because the rear wheel was making noise out of the wheel bearing. Brought it in and the service advisor heard the noise which was super loud at this time because we rode it all the way to the dealership. Service advisor says that it’s not right. Then they say they can’t replicate the issue even though they heard it and we told them it’s never been that loud. It’s always a faint sound out of the rear wheel. And they refuse to submit any warranty to BMW because they ride it for 3 or 4 miles and can’t get the noise to replicate even though we can get it to make noise every single time we ride it. It pisses me off because my son is paying for this motorcycle out of his own pocket And I have also bought a motorcycle there.

Incompetence, carelessness, and inconsideration. If this is what you're looking for, then San Diego BMW is the place for you! There are mechanics and there are parts replacers...these folks are the latter, unfortunately. I got my motorcycle back missing parts, scratched up, and the service wasn't even carried out completely. Troy, the service manager, has such a lack of elementary mechanical/electrical understanding, that he makes up his own theories on the fly that conflict with the laws of physics. 🤣 My 8 year old daughter has a better grasp of basic electrical theory than Troy. Omar unfortunately makes up for what he lacks in execution with anger. (I have a heck of a video where he completely loses his top!) It's my fault for bringing my motorcycle to them. It's clear they've become complacent and accustomed to letting shoddy work go out the door. I gladly paid the bill knowing that I paid to uncover the truth of how arrogant and incompetent this team is. Hopefully others can take a look at my pictures and steer clear so they don't have to be subject to a damaged motorcycle, fake electrical theory from Troy, and Omar's pouting when he gets called out for blowing it. These guys didn't even realize my police bike had a second battery! I know their products better than they do. Who knows what else I'll find when I take the bike apart to inspect everything they touched. What a bunch of kooks.

My all time best experience purchasing a vehicle. Alberto is hands-down the most professional salesman I've ever worked with. After a frustrating start to my day being turned away from a test drive at a local Kawasaki dealer, I rode to San Diego BMW Motorcycles. Alberto greeted me almost immediately upon walking in and took the time to explain the various models that might fit best for my size and riding styles. Within ten minutes of walking in the dealership, I was on the road demoing the new R 1300 GS Adventure. Upon returning to the shop, Alberto was more than happy to walk me through other models to compare and contrast. He's exceptionally knowledgeable on the product and was able to field a number of technical questions. He told me about the various sales and special financing plans available for the season and then I took his card and was on my way feeling absolutely no pressure throughout the process. The professionalism and attention to detail during that exchange stuck around in my mind, and three days later I returned to trade in two bikes (at reasonable values given their condition and age) and rode away on a brand new 2024 R 1250 GS Adventure. Coming from a lifetime of riding sport and sport touring (Kawasaki Concours 14 being my longtime favorite), I never imagined myself owning an adventure bike. But the quality of the BMW Motorrad product is palpable the second you throw a leg over. I could not be more happy that a disappointment at another dealer led me to walk in San Diego BMW Motorcycles. Between the impressive tech suite of the 1250 GSA and the adept support and sales team at the dealership, I feel safe and satisfied in every facet of my motorcycle owner's experience.

Great dealership! Hung was great to deal with and had no issues working everything through emails because I was out of state. Brought my bike in and everything was exactly as they said. I was in and out in a couple of hours. One of the best experiences I have had with a motorcycle dealer.

Great Store. Great people. Today I went in for a leaky Tire. They were able to problem solve where the slow Leak was coming from and gave me options. And what would be the most cost-effective next Step. I agreed to put on a new tire and ordered my Tire today. I love their clear communication and upfront pricing with their customers. I highly recommend stopping by to check out this amazing BMW dealership
