He was open Saturday My air conditioning stopped blowing cold on my way to San Diego from Arizona I asked him to check few things on my truck and decided to try and charge the Freon on the air conditioning - I had planned on doing it anyway. Turns out the relay was faulty but we could not get the part on the weekend. I drove home back to AZ got the part at a huge dealer mark up from Toyota direct and my air conditioning is blowing ICE COLD.

My truck overheated a few months ago and the local mechanic couldn’t figure it out. I brought my truck to Minh’s due to all the great Google reviews. He gave me a very thorough and honest analysis and I realized it was too costly to repair, Minh allowed me to park my car there for several months before deciding what to do with it. I appreciate the thorough and honest assessment even though I wasn’t able to salvage my truck.

I’m not from SD area at all, Minh literally saved my car so I would be able to drive back home safely! He worked on my car as soon as he could, kept great communication and honest with what was wrong with the car. Fair pricing and all around a great human. My family has been going to Auto Minh Repair for 10+ years. This family owned business is ran by Nghia currently. It was previously ran by his brother and before that his father which have all worked on my Honda CRV 2005. They are reasonably priced and have good customer service. I feel confident that my Honda CRV will make it passed 300k+ miles with Auto Minh Repair in my corner.

I thought I might have had a bad wheel bearing and I called Minh. He said he had the capacity to see me today (on a Saturday morning), so I came over and he was able to see me in less than 5 minutes of arriving. He took my truck for a test drive with me in it. In a very short drive, he was able to tell me that it was not the wheel bearing but the tires. I thanked him and asked him what I owed him for his time and he said nothing! I will most definitely be coming back to see Minh the next time I have any issues with my car or truck.

I ended up choosing Minh Auto Repair based on his positive reviews. And I sure had a great experience . He is a great mechanic , very personable and fair prices and probably most importantly he is a very honest person/mechanic ( meaning he just fixes what needs to be fixed) My car had some stubborn issues and I was about ready to drive it off a cliff! I am telling you when I picked up my car after he was done all codes were clear , the smooth acceleration and increased power was amazing! .My first thought was I could literally drive this 20 year old car across the USA and back! As a side note I know female customers can sometimes be uncomfortable taking their car into a repair shop. You would be very comfortable dealing with Minh. He is not intimidating and goes above and beyond to explain and successfully repair what the problem is.

They did an amazing job repairing my fender, and now it looks brand new. They gave me an accurate estimate up front, didn't change the price, and got the repair done in under a week. I was going to go to Caliber Collision, but they kept raising the estimate and tacking on extra fees, and they couldn't give me a timeframe either. So glad I chose Minh instead!

THE most honest auto mechanic I’ve ever met. Minh was so insightful about my car and took time to explain to me everything I had questions about as well as all of the work he was doing on my car. He showed me why I needed my transmission fluid replaced and walked me through a lot of other things he noticed with my car through inspection. Price was way better than the other mechanics. Lastly, he SHOWED me the bogus repairs that the dealer wanted to do on my car. He explained to me what my car REALLY needed and showed me how the other mechanics were trying to scam me. I can’t praise him enough. I had a great experience and literally never want to move from the area because I’ll never find an auto mechanic like him again.

I came to this shop thanks to some Reddit recommendations and was satisfied with the service. After my car suddenly could not be restarted multiple times, I thought it was just the battery terminals. However, Minh helped me figure out the exact root of the problem. Minh took the time to tighten my car's battery, adjust its computer, and fix some wiring issues. He got back to me 4 hours later, and my car felt way better on the road ever since (writing this a month later). He was also very honest, clear, reassuring, and thoughtful. I would totally recommend this place!

Minh is an absolutely great and honest mechanic, who puts his customers first over his own financial interests. I came to Minh for a last minute oil change on a 2018 Honda Civic and he accommodated me despite me not checking in with him ahead of time and making an appointment near his closing time. However, he still agreed to do the oil change for me, and unlike other shops, if you bring in your own oil he can use it compared to other shops that turn you down. Me and Minh had a great conversation and he informed me on things I should look at for on my car and its future maintenance, while also telling me things I may not have to replace right away to save money. Minh is a honest hardworking mechanic who I sincerely trust to work on my car and not try to scam me or upsell me on any service I don't need. I brought my car in from UCSD, and its only about a 10-15 minute drive. I highly recommend him to any college student trying to save money yet still get a quality service, or to anyone who needs maintenance done on their car but are afraid of shady mechanics. Minh is not one of them, and I strongly appreciate this mechanic shop for being an honest business.

Brought our car to Minh with a weird noise caused by another mechanic that wouldnt recognise their fault and said fixing the noise would require extra repairs for $1300. Minh spent a whole day diagnosing the car, found out the problem (poorly screwed bolts and screws) and fixed it - all for $250. Excellent and honest mechanic. Wont go to another mechanic ever again!

Now that I reside in a new location, I wanted to find a new auto mechanic that is trustworthy and honest. Well...thanks to the glowing reviews, I found Minh Auto Repair. Not only is Minh a kind and gentle soul, he really cares about his customers. I wanted him to inspect my brakes and explained that my parking brake needed repair. I left my car and he told me he would call me when the car was completed. I received a call 2 hours later and was told my car was ready. He told me that my brakes were like knew and that nothing needed to be done. He took care of the parking brake and he helped me with some additional questions I had. The repair was fast and done at a reasonable rate. Well folks, I was lucky enough to find Minh and he will definitely be my new auto mechanic. His work ethic and honesty is hard to find these days, but I lucked out. I highly recommend Minh and his services.
