I went to 1 Way based on the reviews and I am glad I did. They fit me in on a busy Friday because I needed to be on the road Saturday. They told me about a less expensive option and made sure to explain everything they did and checked to make sure my car was in tip top shape. Honestly, what made me leave this review was the text I received the next week to make sure everything was working the way I expected and asking if I was satisfied with my experience. I have been going to Chris and his team for 2 years now, including their former location. They are polite, professional, and extremely trustworthy. Chris was at his old location for 37 years. He knows cars and will tell you what you need to fix now, and what can wait. I dont give just any business 5 stars. These guys have earned this review. They are great with my old and my newer car.

The people who work at 1 Way Auto (formerly Texas Street Auto Clinic) are the best: extremely friendly, honest, thorough, and they wear great smiles! I’ve taken my car there for simple repairs & replacements, and also some complicated repairs, for oil changes, brakes, & a new battery. I love getting the follow up texts to check on how my car is running. They treat me like family. I can trust them to properly diagnose my car’s needs & to not overcharge. I highly recommend this place!

Chris was fantastic. While driving an emergency alert came up on my Toyota Highlander to pull over and call the dealer immediately due to an oil issue. I googled the nearest mechanic and got Chris's number. It turns out I had a faulty part which caused all my oil to spill out all over the base of my car. Chris talked me through the whole process, sent photos with explanations, and got the replacement part I needed sent to him within 24 hours. He drove me home since he would need to keep the car overnight and was super helpful. He's kind, patient, and knowledgeable!

Texas Street Auto Clinic (Chris) was recommended to me by someone I trust. They were able to get my Nissan in and worked on quickly. At 1 way auto repair I was met with superb service and care. From when I first called, to when I came to pick up my car, everything was very smooth and productive. My hot engine light, battery light, and engine light had come on, no other store could easily diagnose the issue, but this one took one look at my engine and knew what had gone wrong; my engine belt fell off! They were able to repair it quickly at low cost. They also took a thorough look at the rest of my engine and noticed other necessary repairs they could recommend. The service here is a bargain for how great it is!

Owner Chris Jackson really goes above and beyond to make sure your have great quality service and truly understands how to serve you well. Multiple times they've picked me up and dropped me off at work while they were working on my car, which makes it SO convenient to get service done! Chris is so kind, caring, and knowledgeable, and Noe has always been a top notch service rep, which a positive attitude and a smile! UPDATE: Christian, the owner of 1 Way, reached out to me very concerned about my experience. He said that I should not have been charged an additional diagnostic fee and that there was likely a miscommunication. He made things right by refunding my diagnostic fee. These are honest and fair guys who will make things right one way or the other. I had a very frustrating experience with 1Way Auto Clinic. Brought my car in after some rough idling and the check engine light came on. They did a code read and it came back as a misfire on cylinder 1. They said it was probably a bad spark plug, but they wanted to do a diagnostic ($160) to make sure “I’m not paying for something I don’t need”. I agreed, as I just wanted to be 100% sure that my car was fixed. Got my car back and noticed that my car was idling strangely at stops. It would blip down, right after start up until the car was warm. After about 10 days of driving without a check engine light, my car had a noticeable misfire while driving about 40 mph and the check engine light came on. I brought it back to 1Way later that day for a code read, and it was again a misfire on cylinder 1 (as well as cylinder 2). I asked if, since my car still had the same exact issue (misfire on same exact cylinder), I would have to pay another diagnostic fee to find the real problem and was told that I would. It makes ABSOLUTELY no sense why I paid $160 to have a problem diagnosed if they couldn’t even accurately diagnose what was wrong with the car. It seems like they just happily charged me $160 extra, slapped in some new spark plugs, and called it a day assuming that was the problem. I called my usual mechanic, and they assured me that I would not have to pay a second diagnostic fee with them if they couldn’t figure it out the first time. I ended up just changing out the ignition coils myself, and the problem is gone. Really frustrating experience overall and I honestly feel like I had $160 taken from me for no reason. Definitely will not be returning.

I've been a customer of 1 Way Auto Clinic for a few years now, and have always been satisfied with the service I've received on my car. Chris and his team make sure that everything discussed in the pre-service meeting is taken care of. If any issues arise during the service, or if some parts are not available, they always call to discuss the options available before proceeding with any changes. Any questions I have about the service done, Chris fills me in with all the answers and gives helpful advice. Great team to trust in looking after your car! Easy and quick to book appointments. Cooperative guys to work with. Highly recommend for any service needed on your vehicle!

Chris and his team are trustworthy, kind, and valuable! We have been getting our cars serviced by them since their North Park location days, even driving down from North County after we moved. Loving their new location and the service continues to be unmatchable. Most recently, went in for an oil change and asked them to check tires due to hydroplaning with some of that rare San Diego rain. Noe was wonderful - he explained how bad my tires were (showing me that they were thread bare in some spots), and walked me through my options for new ones, highlighting the pros and cons of each brand. Given the extra work they were doing in the car, they even offered me a ride so I didn’t need to miss out on work. Miguel, the driver, was professional, courteous, and a safe driver during the chaotic commute hours. After I had my car back for a couple days, Chris reached out to check in and make sure that all was good with the car and service. If this all sounds over the top and like I’m being compensated for writing this, I am not. I just really appreciate these folks and the work they do. We will continue to bring our cars here for sure. 1 Way Auto is, by far, the best place to take your car for service in San Diego.

I need work done on my wife's van, and since I personally know the owner and his character, I asked him to take care of it at his shop since I know they are trustworthy and do a quality job. I need to make sure my family is safe! It is hard to find an auto shop that you can trust, but these guys are honest and don't try to sell you things you don't need, and they really do a great job. I highly recommend it if you need auto repairs!!

Chris is amazing! After my mom went to her car dealership and they told her she needed $1,300 worth of work done, Chris thoroughly reviewed her car and ended up concluding that much of that work wasn't needed. I usually take my car to a brand specific dealership for repairs but while I was getting new tires I decided to walk over to this shop and ask about brakes. I’m so glad I did!
