Just Amazing I took my car to the dealer and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car they changed my calipers and and brake booster master cylinder. Sean's guys fixed it with a brake flush. Sean's team is 👌👌👌.

If I could give these guys 100/5, I would. We are travelling from Canada in a large, unique van, and after being denied by multiple mechanics across town and being ripped off by a mechanic in Phoenix, we found Sean and his guys here in San Diego. These are some of the most honest people we've ever come across in any service industry whatsoever, not just mechanics. Sean, sure, he works on cars - but he helps PEOPLE and you can tell he really cares. After being quoted $3,000+ and 3 weeks in the shop by other guys, Sean had us out in 1 day for a few hundred bucks. He looks beyond the OBD reader and at the actual vehicle in front of him, then diagnoses as per his extensive experience. Also HUGE shoutout to James (I believe that was his name) and the other guys for taking the time to work on our beloved home on wheels & talk to us like we were actual people and not just dollar signs. These guys are salt of the earth human beings and fantastic mechanics. I'd be confident giving them my money, not that they'd take much anyway. Don't hesitate, just trust them.

My warning light said I needed brake service. Took my car to SD Auto due to the high ratings, on Yelp. Sean and his staff, including the very nice lady that works in the office, were excellent. They inspected my car and said there was nothing wrong with my breaks. I really appreciated their honesty. I will be taking my BMW there, in the future for service.

Best auto shop in San Diego! They treat you like family! It is so hard to find a trustworthy auto shop, these guys are amazing! I’ve been going to them for years and am blown away every time by the great services, knowledge, and kindness. You won’t be disappointed! I searched around a lot when I first moved to San Diego several years ago, and this place has always been the best! This is their new location so not as many reviews yet but same ppl work here as the old location

This is the best place to have any work done on your car except for Smog and Auto Body Work. The owners are very friendly. They don't nickel and dime you. They do exactly what is needed for your vehicle. And then if they find something else that needs to be done they recommend it for you. Sean's the best!!! Honest, straightforward and really truly nice. I took my car in for a check because I'm driving cross country. I was fully intending to spend $$$ on a tune up but I left without spending a dime. Sean sent me on my way because the car needed nothing. I was working in the neighborhood, and my car showed an error. My OBD app gave me the exact part to replace. With that information, I went to SD Auto Services. They were not very interested when I asked if they were willing to replace a part. Instead, they tried to sell me a $190 diagnostic service. I explained to them that, depending on the cost, I would be willing to take a bet that just replacing the simple sensor would be good enough. After all, this was a $60 sensor from AutoZone. Well, that was not the way they worked. According to their listing, the part they would put in cost $250, and it took 3 hours to install at an hourly rate of $190. I kindly thanked them and went somewhere else. The next mechanic quoted me $60 to install the part that I bought for $60 at AutoZone. So, instead of spending $1,000 at SD Auto Services, I spent $120, and indeed it solved the problem. Now, of course, you can talk about quality this, quality that, guarantee this, guarantee that. But the fact of the matter is, if you step into SD Auto Services, depending on how much work they have or not, they will simply try to sell you a $1,000 job that should be no more than $120. Please be careful. Edit: interesting reply from the owner. 1) I don't work for the competitor. 2) they quoted me $190 for diagnosis and $190/hour to work on my vehicle. Go ask it yourself. 3) Now, look for 2011 Ford F-150 speed output sensor. $63 on Autozone, from Duralex. I will post a screenshot of the replacement costs for this part. It was $60 and not 3h x $190. Of course, when faced with simple facts, you get defensive and resort to ad hominem attacks. That is your best strategy. It immediately shows what your future customers can expect from you. Good luck with your business.

Sean (the Owner) is very personable and has a policy to not nickel and dime people but to be honest and respectful to his customers. They do really great work & keep prices down. What can I say other than I unreservedly recommend Sean and his team. I've been taking my cars to him for going on 12 years and have always been happy with his service. As others have attested, Sean always lays out all the options after diagnosing the problem and then always stands by his work. I can't imagine owning a late model car and not having the peace of mind of knowing I have a capable and trustworthy mechanic for everything from regular oil and tire changes to big jobs like head gasket and transmission replacements.

Wish I would have found this shop sooner. Sean and his team do excellent work and I cannot recommend them enough . Their communication and honesty with the job that they do really sets the bar for how all shops should operate. They even had me come in once they diagnosed the issue to literally show me exactly what was wrong instead of just telling me before they began to work on the solution. They charge honest prices and would have been my go to shop if I wasn’t moving out of state.
