Buying a car can be fraught with confusion, frustration and irritation. It has been said that it is not for the faint of heart or mind. Generally, I steel myself when I enter a showroom ready to do battle with a salesperson. So, it was with the usual apprehension that my wife and I entered the Genesis of Alexandria (VA) showroom and asked to speak with the General Manager, Tony Ramazani. I needn't have worried. Instead, I was happily surprised and delighted by Tony's thoughtful, gracious and helpful attitude. We chatted for a half hour before the word "car" entered the conversation and, when it did it, was my wife who broached the subject. We had come on a Saturday (a busy day for car dealerships) to look at interior colors. We had no intention of buying a new car. We love our 2021 GV80. Our plan was to have a peek, ask a few questions, go to lunch and drive into D.C. to see friends for the night. Happily, it didn't work out that way. We looked at several cars housed in a parking garage a five minute drive from the showroom. The dealership is in downtown Alexandria and has little room for inventory. For some, this will be an inconvenience. I understand that. However, in light of the overwhelming kindness and thoughtfulness of Tony and his staff (Tony bought us lunch while we waited for paperwork to be completed), it was hardly a hardship. We left that afternoon, having traded in our car, with a new GV80 Coupe. Painless..... except for the new car loan which, I might add, was made less painful by a very agreeable interest rate. So, if you're in the market for a new Genesis, run don't walk to Genesis of Alexandria. You will be treated with respect and kindness..... and a favorable deal.

Let me tell you that when considering an automobile purchase, the most important things to me are 1) Love the Car and 2) Customer Service...... Genesis of Alexandria had everything that I was looking for! The phone and text communication before the actual purchase, with my Salesman Jay, was Outstanding and left nothing for me to question about what I was looking for. Once in the dealership, the rest of the staff was very hospitable and treated me like we were old friends, and I was visiting from out of Town! This was an amazing experience and if you are not only looking for a Genesis, but a group that cares about you, you have to purchase from Genesis of Alexandria. (Oh, by the way, I purchased the 2026 GV70, Red exterior, Cream Interior). #SEXY

I really wanted the excellent experience that everyone else seems to have received. However, the experience when purchasing a preowned vehicle seems to be different than purchasing new. The sales person (SOHRAB) was not pushy, but not attentive either. There were things that I was told or read online that didn’t happen or simply wasn’t true. (price match/beat didn’t happen, carfax stated that powertrain remained it doesn’t, my trade in was never even looked at, only given one key, and promised that the vehicle would pass MD state inspection, it doesn’t) I loved the vehicle and decided to still go forward with the purchase. These items are not major things, however I was expecting full transparency. The finance person did negotiate a small reduction, however if I would have known that I would have to put more money in for MD inspection and modifications to pass I probably would’ve done something different. Especially since I’ve already paid the taxes, and title fees. I haven’t received promised videos or any communication at all since driving off the lot. I blame myself for expecting more from a car dealership. Buyers please come fully informed especially if you don’t live in Va and are buying preowned.

Spectacular experience from all the staff here at Genesis of Alexandria! I would like to first start by thanking Jay, for his patience and hard work in getting me my Genesis G80 Prestige Black Model vehicle. I think I saw and interacted with him most, since my birthday back in August, up until now, finally purchasing the car in November! Tony, the GM, there’s something special about this guy: he really cares, and makes the car-buying experience a wonderful one. Mike was also very helpful and even took time out of his day to call me after I took a long road trip with the new car to ensure me and my family made it back safely! Anthony went over the finance and legal documents with me and explained things very carefully. I appreciate him. And Saroub helped teach me how to navigate and maneuver my new vehicle. He was very helpful as well!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I cannot stress that enough. From the moment I walked in (without an appointment) to the moment that I drove off of the lot in my new Genesis, the customer service, honesty, transparency, and general helpfulness was top notch. .Mr Mike M. was my sales manager and he kept me laughing while also making sure I was very informed about each vehicle that I was interested in. He was super patient with me because I kept changing my mind and asking a ton of questions that he sincerely answered each time. Mr Anthony was my finance manager and he caught a huge price jump due to my request to register in another state and he saved me more money. Finally, Mr. Tony....the owner...he came by multiple times to check on my process, made sure that the extra fees were removed and explained to me ways to assist with my requests as an out of towner. He also made sure I ate as he ordered his staff lunch from an amazing Mediterranean restaurant that I am mad I cannot remember the name or what that entree was called. Mr Tony, if you see this, can you please remind me the name of both so I can get whatever you gave me please? If you are looking for great and honest sales people, go here! At no point did I ever feel pressured, left without answers, or disregarded in any manner. Also, I want to give praise to the nice men working in the back detailing the vehicles and assisting with things. I watched them while I was waiting or making coffee and they all were smiling, seem laid back and happy. I hate that I did not get your names, but I did pay attention and to see people look this content with being at work on NYE goes to show that this is a great place. There was one nice man in particular that helped me remove my stickers and toll pass from my old vehicle that I really appreciate. Thank you Sir. I appreciate you all Genesis of Alexandria! I love my new car!!!!!!!

Purchased a GV70 at this location. All the staff were professional, attentive and sincere. Extra appreciation for the staff for following me to return my rental car to provide me a lift back to the establishment in their loaner Genesis. Felt respected and cared for thorough in and throughout. Branch manager giving me a follow up call a day after for congratulation and asking for honest feedback was memorable. I do have a dealership much nearby, but Alexandria were unmatched for price negotiations, discounts, transparency and overall experience. Shout out to Shah and Tony. They have my highest recommendation.

Full Circle, our Genesis journey commenced at this very dealership in 2021 upon release of the GV80 SUV which we purchased immediately based on vehicle reviews. We recently returned to the improved experience of Exceptional Service while purchasing a 2026 GV80 Coupe in January.
