George's has become my go-to auto mechanic in Lowell. Andy is a skilled, well-rounded mechanic, and he and Cheryl are always honest and trustworthy, giving me fair and reasonable rates on services.

George's Automotive is the only place I will take my car in Lowell. The expertise I found there is unmatched. They have always taken care of me, as well as my vehicle. If you need a skilled mechanic, who is also a great person, you have to go see George and Andy.

Brought my ‘97 Cadillac Deville here for repair on a “search and find” overheating problem. Bought a house in Lowell about a year ago and several folks recommended this shop! Honest, fair, considerate, and willing to go the extra mile to problem solve and find affordable solutions. What else could you ask for in a mechanic? Highly recommend George and his team here.

Third generation to get all of my car repairs and maintenance done at George's Automotive. George is a very honest man with great insight. I always call him with my car questions. You absolutely get what you pay for here and can always expect great service.

George's is always excellent at auto repair. I have been going to them for 23 years. Felt extremely safe with the Covid protocols put in place. No contact drop off and pick up and the team made sure my car was cleaned for possible Covid prior to my picking it up. Very satisfied, as always.

I live just around the corner from George's. I have been with them 20 years. I have a FORD and a CHEVY, both 14 years old. Cheryl (the late George's daughter) oversees the business and Andy is the chief mechanic. As they say, they don't work on cars, they fix them! Give them a try. You won't be sorry. SCB

They are a great family auto shop. They treat you like family and you can be sure they will fix your car as if their own kids were driving it. They are always reasonable in price and they work very hard to make sure you get your car back in a timely manner. In addition, they give you good advice even if they would profit more in the short run by selling you on something you don't need. They are the opposite of a dealer.

Really excellent service from Jack at George's Automotive. I appreciated the good communication, listing the various services and prices to fix an old Mini Cooper. Jack explained each of the proposed services and answered questions.

My 2006 Saab 9-3 had a significant pull to the right with thuds and clicks typical of ball joint-control arm type damage etc. Turned out to be faulty old tires. Cost was 1/3 of what I'd expected. Awesome service. Honest to a fault. Work performed quickly. I highly recommend!!

George's has been servicing my cars for over 20 years now. They've been fast, reliable, honest, and very timely in getting my cars serviced and back on the road. It's a comforting feeling knowing that anytime my car suddenly develops a problem, there's no need to worry because George's is just a phone call away.

My daughter is attending college in the area and she was told by the oil change place that there was a major oil leak. I looked online and found George's. Called them and we got the car there. The issue was communicated to me by Cheryl and they had it fixed in a day. Cheryl was great to work with! Looks like we have a good shop for my daughter to take her car to if it has an issue again. Super happy!

Boy, did we stop at the right place! My wife and I were on a 600 mile road trip from Bar Harbor, Maine to Scranton, PA when the splash guard under the engine started to fall off. The staff at George’s was happy to secure it quickly for us so we could be on our way. The last thing you want is car trouble when you’re hundreds of miles from home. We are so lucky, grateful, and will be sure to pay it forward. Thank you!

Disappointed by Their Attitude and Lack of Transparency I initially had a decent experience here when they fixed a flat for me, and I was open to building a good relationship with this shop. I even passed on a repair shop right next to my home to go here when I got an error code in my inspection report—hoping for professionalism and fair service. When I brought in the report, I was told by Charlotte that diagnostics would start at $100 but it could be more since there were multiple codes. She couldn’t tell me how much exactly or whether the diagnostic fee would be waived if we did the service with them. It was vague and unclear—especially when other places were upfront: Chevy dealership quoted $190 and the shop next door $95. Even then, I was willing to consider them—but was told the mechanic was too busy and to come back in two days. After discussing with my partner, we decided to use our car’s inbuilt remote diagnostics to pinpoint the issue and just get the service done. I left them a voicemail saying we now know the code and asked if they’d still charge the diagnostic fee if we just get the repair done. What happened next was shocking: I got a call back telling me it was insulting that I bypassed their diagnostics and that they were no longer interested in servicing our car at all. Honestly, that kind of prideful, dismissive attitude is when a business starts to go downhill. I wanted to support a local business and give them my trust—but their lack of clarity, empathy, and customer respect makes it hard to recommend them. A little humility and care go a long way.

Every one here is awsome! Brought my nissan juke in on short notice, for a control arm that rusted out. They were very busy, took my car right in, excellent communication and upfront with how long everything would take. Fair prices and excellent work! Thank you again !!!
