I am absolutely thrilled with the professionalism and impeccable customer service I received with Gerber collision and glass in Coeur d'Alene. They were incredibly kind and after an accident I had involving quite a large deer on I90. They were excellent at communicating the progress of my repairs, took care of all the leg work between themseleves, the ford dealership, and my insurance company and were consistent, personable and efficient. My car was returned to me in impeccable condition; clean inside and out and practically brand new. I highly suggest you go here should you have any kind of body work or glass work needed.

Amy was so nice to me throughout the entire process. Treated me like I imagine she would a friend. Very fast service and kept me informed about the process. The man who inspected the damage and who showed me finished product was also great just didn't catch his name. They even washed my car and wiped down the interior!

Not only did it take them 5 months to get my truck in after an accident but are now refusing to do agreed upon repairs that were in the quote/estimate of damages that were agreed upon that happened in the accident. Do NOT take your car here! They do what they can to avoid doing work that they stated needed to be done as a cause of an accident. Lawsuit waiting to happen 🤬

The worst experience I've ever had at a body shop. My door still clicks, and the headlamp jiggles in the housing. There was evidence of mice in my car after I picked it up, and after having my vehicle for almost two months, Gerber waited until the day they wanted me to pick it up to tell me that the battery had been dead for two months, with no way to plan for an extra 400$ expense . They also never did an alignment after a head on collision.

I recently had front end damage to my Honda fit which included grill, air conditioning condenser and other damage. I needed the repair done within 3 days as we were leaving town. John at Gerber ordered the repair parts and promised the work would be done on time. I was a little skeptical as there was much work to be done. The car was ready as promised and looked like new. There was no hassle with the insurance claim and I would recommend Gerber to all my friends. Thanks John and to the Gerber crew.

I had hail damage on my 2015 Chrysler T&C. Insurance covered the costs of damage and I scheduled the repairs with Gerber Collision and Repair. I’m a pretty understanding person as I’ve ran businesses in the past and I know that Murphy’s Law is strong when it comes to making all the moving parts of an industry work well together. The staff is warm and inviting, so that’s not an issue. The first trouble to occur was with the timing of everything. It was many weeks before they had enough parts to get started. At that point I brought the vehicle in and the completion date began to be pushed back week, after week, after week. As it started to become laughable, management decided to rent me a vehicle off and on until I could take the van. I thought that was pretty neat so all was well. (Hence, the 2 star rating) Then I got the vehicle back. The metal flashings that run along the bottoms of the windows were all still dented. So that had to be done still. There was a bit of red paint on the wheel well of the vehicle, which wasn’t really so bad. As I was driving the vehicle a piece of plastic which was removed and reattached during the repair process actually flew off while I was driving on the freeway. I was unable to retrieve it. The actual worst part of all this was that the interior was left in complete disarray. There was metal dust and metal shavings EVERYWHERE. When you turned on the air it would just fly right into your eyes and you couldn’t avoid breathing it in. The cup holders in the back were laden with the stuff... and the headliner was and still is smudged with oil and grease from whoever was reattaching the roof paneling. You would think that there would be some kind of cleaning protocol at the completion of work, or that your headliner wouldn’t get destroyed, but this was not the case. Based on these oversights alone, I would have to recommend going elsewhere.

Bad. I chose Gerber because my insurance company "works with Gerber" and said they wouldn't need to go out and inspect my truck if taken to Gerber. That way I could get it done faster. So I took it to Gerber. At Gerber, Daryl Ambrose inspected my truck, took pictures and told me he couldn't give me an estimate yet. "He needed a number from the insurance company" I left Gerber angry because I got no estimate like the other auto body shops. It turns out, according to my insurance company, that Daryl took it upon himself to think the damage was too much from a deer and said so to my insurance company. That's what started the screwing up of my experience with getting my truck fixed. The insurance company then wanted to send their own person out to inspect my truck but decided not to and asked Gerber to just send them an estimate. That took 2 weeks to get the estimate according to my insurance company. And the damage was from a deer and nothing else and Daryl screwed up. Now, I still haven't gotten my truck fixed because I'm very busy, I work outta town and can only get this taken care of when possible.

I would give them a 6 star if possible. Not Only were they quality but they were professional and on time. A young man sideswipe my vehicle and took it out of commission for a. Gerber collision and glass not only did the work and got my vehicle backup to the quality it was before but then when the other gentleman's insurance thought it should be done sooner Gerber stepped up and made sure my rental was covered un full. I highly recommend them to anybody looking to get their vehicle repaired.

There are many body shops available that are more than willing to fulfill your needs. I am here to tell you no need to consult any of them. John and Amy at Gerber are the best there is. Not only did they do an exceptional job on my Honda after I hit a deer but stayed in touch with me every step of the way. EXCELLENT customer service. Above and beyond what I expected. I have to say I was scheduled to go another local body shop the day before my husband talked me into going there because he had his vehicle fixed there and loved it. They were able to squeeze me in and get the parts to have my car back within 3 days. When I got my car back it was beautiful! Not only did the body work look amazing my car was waxed, washed, and they even touched up a chip that was on a different area on car. They even vacuumed the inside too! I'm so glad I took my husbands advice and went there. I would recommend this company to anyone!!! Thanks you guys!

Honestly they seemed too busy to care. First they couldnt find me in their calendar after booking me 3 weeks later to come in. The gentleman told me he was surprised another repair company hadn't gotten a valuation done on my car claiming that the insurance company could just total it out. The other company already had the insurance approval to repair it. He said well just go ahead and take it I'll look for parts and tell you if we even want to deal with it. That was over a week ago and never heard back. I would suggest taking your car somewhere else or you may get no help as I did or a sloppy job at best. Places that are that busy have no motivation to do anything well that doesn't bring in big bucks. About a week after I brought it in I received a call in which the caller said "Just called to let you know we aren't interested in your job".

This shop is awesome! I worked with them for an insurance claim, and I was very satisfied with their level of customer support and professionalism. I received text notifications daily and a call from the shop letting me know the progress of my car. The lady that works at the front desk is probably the nicest human I've ever encountered. They stuck to their job as well, because I was having a lot of road noise from the damage after repair, and I took it back in for them to fix it within the day. Despite delays due to worker shortages, which everyone is experiencing, my experience with Gerber was great. During the course of the body repairs, I was updated as my car progressed through each stage via text. When I called to double check something, a person answered the phone. That person was courteous, friendly and helpful. My car looks good as new. And to top it all off, someone saw that I had a replacement vinyl sticker in an envelope on my dashboard, and put it on for me, exactly as the original was. I never asked them to do that, they just saw it and did it. That made my day. Thanks to everyone in the front office and in the garages.

I was amazed with the service I received!!! The staff is super friendly, helpful, and honest. They were able to get my vehicle repaired quickly and two weeks earlier than originally expected. I was given regular updates on my vehicle. The technician made sure my vehicle wasn’t only aesthetically pleasing, but gave me the tools to make sure my vehicle is safe! The staff went above and beyond & was able to finish the repairs under budget. When I picked up my car, I was shocked to see that they also cleaned the inside! I had the best experience with this company and will be using them for any future need! 10/10 recommend! Best service I have had ever!!!

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Gerber Collision & Glass on Fourth Street in Coeur d’Alene. Our vehicle has been sitting there for five weeks and we still haven’t been able to move forward with repairs. It took them forever just to get a quote done, and once that was finally completed, they stopped responding to our insurance company altogether. To make matters worse, they’ve failed to provide two simple photos needed to move things along — something that should take five minutes. The lack of communication is beyond frustrating, and every interaction we’ve had with the staff has been met with rudeness and zero accountability. This place is disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly overwhelmed. Save yourself the headache and take your vehicle somewhere that respects your time and knows how to handle basic customer service.

I was in an accident and Gerber made the whole experience so much easier than I expected. The insurance company set me up with them, I dropped it off and they called the rental company to pick me up. I received a text update every Tuesday and Thursday from someone actually in the shop looking at my car. When I picked it up, they'd not only done a beautiful job repairing my doors and panels, but the car had been washed, the floor mats and wheels cleaned, and a few other details seen to. Getting in an accident is never a great experience, but I feel totally taken care of by Gerber in CDA. Thank you!
