I had an excellent experience with Gerber. My car was backed into while parked on the street and had some decent driver's side damage. (This was the second time in a month, believe it or not!) The first time this happened, I let Progressive handle everything. I dropped it off at the Progressive service center and they wound up taking it to a local body shop somewhere in the Green area. I was not happy with the results. So when the second accident occurred I decided to choose my own body shop. I picked Gerber on a whim and I am very glad I did. Not only did they do top notch body work (I've been a mechanic for almost 10 years now, so I know), but they fixed the discrepancies I had with the last body shop's repairs! The manager (I forgot his name) was extremely professional and gave me excellent customer service. I know results may vary, but I was super impressed with Gerber and will definitely use them again if I ever need to (which I hope I don't!).

My truck is super important to me, hauls my bikes, my family, and my dogs. I got rear ended and needed my bumper repaired. I was anxious about the process, but this was a big nothing!! I am so extremely satisfied with Gerber, I will be continuing to stick with them. The staff is sensational, each person there takes a really genuine approach to making you feel comfortable with the situation. I hope they have an awesome Christmas and hope to see them again, but for a positive reason! If you are considering a repair center, no contest: Gerber 100%.

My twenty year old son and his friends were in a car accident in Akron while visiting from Florida. We needed to get the car repaired quickly because they were all twenty years old and could not rent a car and needed to be home within a few days. Mike and his crew at Gerber were awesome. They were very understanding of the situation and worked with our insurance company to get the car repaired and ready to go in two days!!!! They were very patient with my constant calling and worrying and more than met my expectations. The car looks great and we could not be happier. They turned a very bad situation into a pleasant experience.

I met Zach and he provided me a free estimate and five star service. I had some weather stripping sticking out of my doors and he fixed it free of charge. I had duct tape residue on my car and he taught me a trick to get that off as well (a sprinkle of thinner took it right off) again free of charge. I appreciate the AMAZING customer service and will return to Gerber for my future Collison needs

I took my 2014 GMC Sierra here for repairs after getting rear ended. All of the staff were courteous and professional throughout the entire process. The repairs were finished quickly enough that my vehicle was returned to me a day ahead of schedule, and they did a very good job; the truck looks like it did the day I bought it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for one. Also, the repairs are guaranteed for as long as I own the vehicle, and the warranty is honored, I was told, at any of their locations in the country.

Gerber was the recommended repair shop with a lifetime warranty through my insurance company. When I called to set up repairs, the receptionist was RUDE and said repairs had to be authorized by the ins company and I would have to authorize in person not over the phone (collision shop = damaged vehicle, not accommodating or convenient). When I finally got authorization and took a day off of work to go authorize in person, the RUDE receptionist decides this is a good time to tell me they are too busy for anymore work. The dealership was able to authorize over the phone.

They used after market parts and junk yard parts on my car. They said they would warranty all the parts and labor. All the parts have gone bad. Ball joints went bad, cv axle, mirror, strut, control arm.and wheel bearing. The first time they did the wheel bearing they installed it in backwards. They put a mirror on the car that was bad and made use find out what they broke before they would replace the mirror. They forgot to tighten the the bolts on the control arm which I Hade to pay someone else to fix. Hade to pay Honda to tell me what Gerber messed up to get them to install it correctly. The paint is rusting and they looked at it again said they would fix it and every thing that is broken with oem parts. Then when it was time to bring it in to get fixed they said they changed their mind they aren't fixing it now. They are lairs and do very bad work. Save your self the nightmare of going to them. I have my attorney getting ahold of them, he hade my paperwork from when the accident happened. Hoping my attorney can help me get out of the mess this place has but me in. Plus the lady at the desk always has an attitude when you call them. Never again hope this helps everyone that thinks about going to them make the correct choice before ending up in my shoes. Sad every part they replaced went bad so fast not just one part every part they used. If it wasn't because of them installing it wrong or using junk yard parts it went bad because of how cheap the parts where that they used maybe all the parts came from junk yard kinda seems that way to me .plus that kind of work can kill someone. Wish I could give a zero star rating instead of one.

I visited Gerber Collision & Glass today to get an insurance estimate for an incident that happened while I was in drive-thru pharmacy lane at a CVS branch. I've had emergency spine surgery and am still in transition between walker and cane. Stacy, who greeted me, was very welcoming and made it possible for me to stay seated in my car for the estimate. Trevor, who compiled the estimate was outstanding. He described in detail what was damaged and how it would be repaired. He gave me information that I could use for a second estimate. He was knowledgeable about my car's special paint and why it was a major cost item in the estimate. I would highly recommend Gerber Collision & Glass for any work you need completed. The honesty and genuine concern about my problems gave me the assurance that any work done there would be of the highest quality.

Before and after pictures say it all! They're very easy to work with. They give status updates twice a week. My car was estimated to be completed between 19-25 days. I got my car a little early, which is a major positive! An unfortunate situation happened with a tree falling in my backyard and the branches hit my car. They were able to help fix my car with no complaints. They also did a thorough job cleaning the outside and inside of my car. Which is awesome!

My friend's car was in a crash last week and was towed to Gerber Collision and Glass on Green St. In Akron. First thing was a nice big clean parking lot. Secondly every person working there is friendly and exceptionally helpful. Third was their excellent communication skills in letting us know their protocols for checking out our car's dsmage. Fourth was the speed and accuracy of analysis with a clear explanation of what they see , what we should expect and an honest evaluation of what needs to be done, the costs and honest advice. They are really interested in giving the customer great service and a thorough understanding of the options available. The gentleman who checked-out our car told us quite clearly what the damage was and what the costs would be to repair the car. I was very appreciative of the speedy attention to our problem and the expert advice on our options. I felt the advice was coming from a friend interested in making sure we understood all the options available and not someone pushing the hard sale. From beginning to end everyone working there was a truly decent person and highly skilled at their jobs. So I highly recommend this shop at 25 Greene St, Akron for an honest and highly qualified group doing great work and giving you a very fair price
