Asked them to do a rush on a "as is" vehicle I was looking to purchase. They got my car in, did a prepurchase inspection and let me know what was going on. There were some minor issues. I was able to negotiate with the seller. I felt better knowing I was buying something without major issues. Awesome job!

Service was awesome! I had an emergency car repair on a front wheel bearing. Bill had me in the shop the same day. They kept me in the loop, and didn't try to upsell me or nickel and dime me for anything I didn't need. Very decently priced and the mechanics are very polite and work hard. I would definitely reccomend them- better priced than the chain stores and more straightforward people.

Had an extremely poor experience at a different shop trying to get a wheel alignment, they told me I had thousands of dollars worth of repairs needed (broken springs, leaking water pump, etc). So I took my car to my local mechanic to check over everything, he verified the shop was full of it, and recommended I go to Shaws and they'll get me squared away. Shaws did my wheel alignment and did not notice anything else that needed done. The honesty was what I was looking for and that was exactly what I received, I'll be going there for future repairs.

I have never been treated more poorly than from Laura at Shaws automotive in Akron Ohio This company came recommended to me through my father-in-law who worked across the street for 10 years. I understand sometimes companies go through phases. I set up an appointment and took in one of our trucks for a check engine light. They called me and told me that I needed control arms and bushings And that it will cost $1100.00 I said okay go ahead and fix it. Then I got a call from them saying it needed an alignment which I said go ahead and do. When I went to pick up my truck I asked what the check engine light was a result of. The answer I received was that they didn't diagnose it they just cleared it. However, they charged me for it and had to have it taken off the bill. Laura offered me a free diagnostics for the next time I would be there which I was okay with. Within the next 2 weeks my husband discovered that the inside of my tires had worn down to the metal so I took it to Mr. Tire only to discover I never got the alignment. I needed new tires because the treads were low but I didn't have to get them immediately until that moment. I called and tried to speak to somebody about it several times and finally had to ask for the owner to give me a call. Of course I had to go somewhere else to get an alignment on my truck so that my tires wouldn't get any worse. The owner Keith called me and told me that he had his technician go over the truck when they brought it in and said that it needed some new tires so they wouldn't reimburse me for tires which was fine. But I was charged for an alignment that I never got so Keith said he would let me use the reimbursement for any vehicle I brought in and I was also to get the free diagnostic. Today 3/ 26/ 24 I took my soon to be daughter in laws car into their shop, willing to give them another try. Laura was so nasty to me on the phone while I was asking for the appointment, very sarcastic and nasty when I asked for both the diagnostic and the reimbursement of the alignment to be applied, telling me that she would not be doing that. I Reiterated that I she offered me the free diagnostic and Keith the owner was reimbursing me for a service I was charged for and never got. She continued to be super nasty and hateful. If I could give this place a real score it would be negative 5 stars!! Keith really should let her go or he may not have a business left. Beware of this place. You get charged for services you don't get and when you catch it they tell you not to come back. Seriously, don't waste your time. There are so many other great places you can go.

They are the best!! I went there to get my brakes checked, they were super prompt and showed me what the problem was. Didn’t even charge me anything saying it’s a small issue. The lady at the front desk and the mechanic both were super nice. So refreshing to see there’s still honest shops out there!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
