Outstanding, Professional and Efficient Service! My truck broke down about a mile away from the shop. I googled "mechanic near me" Brown Street Auto popped up. This is how I began my business with Mike and team!I called and spoke to Mike and he said if you can get it towed here I can have it repaired today, if not, tomorrow morning at the latest. Mike even referred a tow company that was reasonable and arrived in less than 20mins!! My truck needed a starter and was repaired in less than 3 hours. I am Very impressed that I was prioritize during an emergency and treated with upmost respect. The customer service is immaculate to say the least. I am new to Ohio and have found my new mechanic and tow company! What a Double-Blessing.

We were in Akron from out of State for a death in the family. The day we were trying to get home, our car just died. I called Brown Street Auto, the man that answered was very helpful and took all the information to speed the process up while it was being towed to Shop. He knew our situation of trying to get home. He diagnosed and called us with the price. We authorized repair, it was a very reasonable rate. Problem was it was going to take longer than shop was open. Mike the mechanic offered to stay after closing and finish the repair so we wouldn't have to stay another night at the hotel. Picked up the car, Mike couldn't have been any more polite and professional. Explained all they did to our car. It was a great experience. They could have taken advantage of out of starters trying to get home. Also, first thing this morning we got a text making sure the vehicle ran good on the way home and once again offering their condolences for the loss of our loved one. Great shop, great price and good employees.

I couldn’t be more happier with not only the service provided but the price was unbeatable!! I definitely recommend them for anything that needs done to a car. Brought in an 01 Mazda Van for 2 front control arm replacements and both sway bar link replacements. Walked away spending alittle more than $350 Definitely worth it (I brought my own parts from A-Premium) I could tell the van was rusted to heck under there and I’m glad to see the shiny new parts on it plus be able to feel the difference! Buyer beware! Disclaimer: They gave me all my money back AFTER I made a fuss online so wanted to point that out. But if you go here make sure you ask them to quadruple check everything because they definitely do not know what they’re doing all the time! They misdiagnosed my car, replaced my OEM alternator with a trash alternator (twice) even though the alternator was NEVER the problem. And when I asked them to put the OE part back in I was told they had already sent it to core. After 2 months of me visiting this shop, my car started throwing an error and almost stalled. What caused this issue? The alternator!! So now I have to pay about $1k for a brand new alternator because they replaced my perfectly fine OEM part that never needed to be replaced with a faulty part. Thanks.

I think I found my mechanic. I haven't dealt with car repairs for a few years. I know very little about the mechanics of a car,so finding the right mechanic is everything. They explained in detail the issue,the price break down and how long it will take to repair. Also the waiting area was not dirty or cold in 1 degree weather. I got an oil change, tune up and head gasket replacement for my 2011 SUV was several hundred dollar below anywhere else. Very affordable and excellent service. DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK!!!!!!
