Gerber's on Cully kept me updated weekly; they answered every question in detail and were timely in fixing a pretty badly-damaged car. I would go back without hesitating. They stayed in touch with my insurance company so I didn't have to do a lot of calling. They were accessible easily by phone, or even by dropping by. Plus they did a great job on my car.

This shop had 4.5 stars with good customer service ratings, so I felt confident transferring my car here. It was also the preferred body shop for my insurance. Once the car was at the body shop I never received an update on my car. I had to call and ask for progress information. When the employee gave me a spotty update he would also give me a day that he would call me back, saying that they would know the total damage by a certain day. That day came and went. I gave them two extra days, called agin. Still no accurate update. This happed a couple times They received my car on the 9th, and I did not hear the total damages until the 22nd. Never once did I receive a call from Gerber, but rather it was my responsibility to prod them for information. This is too long to be without a vehicle. Poor customer service and response time.

I had a terrible month, the damage to my car did not make it any better and then to add insult to injury my insurance gave me the run around. I called Gerber, Duoc sprang into action called my insurance, got my insurance adjustor to actually do his job and saved me the heartache of having to continue batting with them. The team arranged for me to pick up and drop off my rental car there, they stayed in touch each day with progress reports and my car looks fabulous! I can tell you that is the only experience with a car repair that I actually enjoyed. The team at Gerber put my mind at ease, they took away the stress, got the job done and they showed an authentic kindness that brightened my day.

They were unable to honor the “24 hour” turnaround as advertised and quoted. Called on a Thursday morning, and the work wasn’t started until Saturday. Within a 48-hour period of the replacement, I had to have the windshield re-installed (different company) as the seal wasn’t secure. Update: Customer service has reached out to me regarding this experience. Though my experience with customer service was satisfactory, I will not consider this business for future windshield needs.

It’s unfortunate when any of us have to deal with an auto accident and all the work that goes along with that but I have to say that Branden at Gerber made a very unpleasant situation quite bearable! The estimates were prompt and accurate. Got my repairs done much quicker than the original estimate and called me to follow up every step along the way. I’ve been in customer service for 35+ years and I must say that his treatment of me was exemplary. I did tell him as I was walking out the door that I hope to never see him again but if I do need his services, I would go back there Without hesitation.

After 40 years of driving I unfortunately had my first car accident. I select Gerber Collusion and Glass based on the reviews I found online. I can't say enough about how good it was to work with this body shop. From the start they eased my worries and concerns about repairing my car. They kept me informed about the progress of their work and answered my multiple questions. My car was completed on a day when the roads were still icy. Not feeling confident driving they delivered my car and returned my rental car. Amazing full care service. Their workmanship looks great and my car was returned to its original condition. I am so happy to see my car parked in front of my home. I would not hesitate to recommend Gerber to my dearest of family or friends.

My vehicle was returned to me with additional damage and ill-fitting repairs on the bumper/front end/window issue. They took it back again and fixed the additional damage and worked on the front end. The manager said that he didn’t think the Gerber Tech put the correct TOYOTA bumper on the first time when I gave them my vehicle for repair.

Do not go here. They are completely incompetent. We are still waiting for my son's car repair after almost 3 months. The car was vandalized in January and it is now April. When we went to pick up the car, the reportedly repaired car, they had trouble locating the key. There are no tags on any of their keys. Then they headed out with a bunch of possible keys to bring the car out and discovered a broken key in the driver's side door. They said they would have the lock replaced in a few days. We are still waiting 12 days later. Earlier they claimed the car's computer had been fried and would likely need to be totalled. After sending it to the Subaru dealer for work, the dealer discovered a fuse that needed to be replaced, likely shorted by this shop. They would have totalled a car that only needed a fuse.

Edited I had to choose a service above, but there has been NO service, or contact, for a vehicle they were to repair from a deer strike. The estimate was done, if I remember correctly, $1,200.00, on November 26 2021! Several months after, I went in and talked to them and they said they were waiting for a single part. It was a part to do with mounting of the bumper. I confirmed with the person there that when the part came in, I would be notified. This vehicle is a 2005 Honda CRV. There were millions of this body style made in three years. I do not believe that a front end part, is not available, for a car that had millions of this body style on the road. They wanted me, over a year ago, to leave my car there, partly disassembled, waiting for a part to come in! If Gerber collision was the last body shop on earth, I would drive a wrecked car before I would darken their door step again. I would like to tell the rest of the story of my experience with Gerber collision on NE Cully. Jake, from Gerber, contacted me after he saw my negative review. It turns out there were a lot of unhappy customers in the time frame I was originally there. I was told the staff that were there when I fist went in were no longer with Gerber Collision. After a discussion with Jake and an assurance that things were different now than in late 2021, I decided it was easiest to allow them to do the work. Communication from Jake was good. Parts were ordered. Car was dropped off after the week it took for the parts to come in. This appeared to be a simple repair. I was told the car SHOULD be ready in three days, on Friday, as long as there were no hidden damages. It was a good thing and no other damages were found. The car was ready this afternoon at 4:00. Three days. Everything looks perfect. Communication was great. I'm happy to have a business like this in my neighborhood. The way the leaders of this city have allowed the criminals to run free it has to be a real challenge to operate a business in that environment. Thanks again Jake and Team!

Unfortunately my car incurred some damage and I found myself needing to do an insurance claim with USAA to get it repaired. They recommended Gerber. I dropped my car off in the hands of Jake, the head guy there. I told him that I am very particular about my car and what I expected from them. He told me they have a whole new staff and they were going to take care of everything. The Gerber people went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with the body work that they performed and then returned my car to me even cleaner than the day I dropped it off with them. I hope my car never gets hit again but if it did I would go back there.

Update! I got a call the next day Aug 28th explaining they wanted to make everything right! They had me come in that day and get a rental so they can look at the repairs and get an idea of what was happening with the paint issue. They were able to use the original hood the cure originally put on (by a painter that no longer works there) never took properly so they were able to strip it and redo it. My hood looks immaculate now and it only took a week to fix! Sep 5th got my car back and I’m a super happy customer thank you guys for making things right! Was told my hood that was repaired by Gerber originally but now has paint peeling and exposed would be covered under their repair warranty. I was super happy to get it fixed Aug 27th rolls around and they call that morning to ask if they can reschedule due to short staffing. Yes I understand but also your failure to schedule is not my issue and the longer I wait the more damage my vehicle incurs due to a faulty repair. Next scheduled turn in for repair will be sept 10th if I am rescheduled again I will change my review accordingly.

I would not recommend this place.i had my front bumper replaced with the license plate mount. Two weeks after, the plate fell off along the road somewhere, then two weeks after that the license plate mount fell off. I contacted the manager about this. She only wants to replace the license plate bracket (18.00). They put parts on and don't warranty their work... don't go here....

I brought my car in after a chunk of ice fell off my roof and hit the front of my car, leaving a small dent. My insurance uses Gerber as one of their approved mechanics so in a way I didn't have much of a choice. I was told when first going there that I would have to wait six weeks before they could work on it, so thankfully my car was drivable and I took it home. After six weeks I called and they had no memory of me and had not put me on the schedule. After telling the person all the details about my car they finally saw that I had come in but they couldn't take me until the following month. I called again the following month and they again acted like they never heard of me but I was able to get on the schedule about 3 weeks later. I finally brought my car in to be fixed and they said they couldn't fix it yet, they just needed to get an estimate. They gave me the estimate and told me I could come back in two weeks to get the work done. The day before I was to bring my car in they called me and said 'we've had some staffing changes and we can't take your car tomorrow'. I asked when the nearest date could be and they told me two weeks. Knowing full well that in two weeks they would probably forget me again I told them to cancel. They take incompetence to a whole new level.

I can’t say enough nice things about Gerber. From the minute my truck was towed to their repair shop their communication and transparency regarding the entire repair process was on point. I didn’t have to call them once. Their notifications and calls always let me know what was going on and made sure I had an accurate ETA as to when my truck would be finished.

I took my 2022 RAV four prime here. One we had a break-in and someone smashed the back glass. They did an excellent job making the body scratches and the window and everything looked like new. Amazing work and a VIP experience. They were able to work with enterprise for my rental car which I was able to drop off at the auto body shop. Talked to the staff and manager about the ability to get my car back to me sooner and they did it. 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Very informative and the work looked amazing. I had an exceptional experience with Gerber Collision & Glass on Cully here in Portland, Oregon, after my car was unfortunately broken into on New Year's Day. The rear window was shattered, and there was significant damage to the body and paint around the window. After quickly getting the glass replaced, I booked an appointment with Gerber Collision, recommended by State Farm. From my very first appraisal to dropping off my vehicle, picking up the rental, receiving regular updates, and finally getting my car back, the entire team at Gerber was amazing. Hannah at the front desk was always polite, professional, and helpful. Mackenzie provided timely updates every step of the way, making sure my car was completed as quickly as possible. When it was time to pick up my car, Mackenzie was on vacation, but Chris, the manager, personally stepped in to ensure everything was perfect and that I was completely satisfied. The attention to detail, clear communication, and overall customer service exceeded my expectations. While I hope I won't need body shop services again, if I do, Gerber Collision & Glass on Cully will be my first choice. Highly recommend!
