I recently bought a used newer model 4 series BMW. Mike was recommended to me as a local alternative to the BMW dealerships. Since the four year service warranty is no longer transferable I had to pay to have my brakes flushed and all four brake pads replaced. Mike advised that I could go a little bit longer on the brakes; however, since the vehicle was new to me I had him do the work. The wheels had locks on that caused an issue with them being taken off. Mike worked with one of the dealers to get the job done. His rates are very reasonable. If you have work needed for your German vehicle please give Mike a call. German Auto Service is a valuable asset to South Tampa that should not be overlooked. I highly recommend this business!!!!!

Mike recently diagnosed and repaired my used 2005 BMW. He is very knowledgeable and honest and instilled trust first by phone, and then when we met. He explained the repairs needed, gave me an estimate and even though one repair was pricey, he fixed it and after driving it I realized how much that repair was needed. I will continue to have Mike service my 2005 BMW and I am sure I will have many years of great driving ahead. Thanks Mike!

Amazing mechanic! Best I’ve ever had, he corrected a problem that a previous mechanic had lied to me about. Mike went through every detail with me with extreme patience. He showed me the measurements his computer was reading, showed me old parts and what my car was doing and demonstrated the effects. Absolutely stand up mechanic with tons and tons of experience. I can’t recommend him high enough. Fair prices, doesn’t overcharge, and provides the most expert work I’ve ever experienced with a mechanic. If you have a German car this is the only place you should be taking it. He is around the back of the building! Don’t go to the shop in front they will over charge you.

Had a great experience with Mike. He's a German car mechanic from Germany running his own shop. Got an appointment relatively quickly. He diagnosed a failing starter and was able to get the part and install it the day I dropped off the car. Spotted a missing bolt in my front suspension (from a repair at another shop) and installed it at no charge. Reasonable prices and an interesting guy to talk to.

I had my 2017 VW GTI go into limp mode on me once and Mike fixed it right up and charged me very fair prices (little labor cost). Next week my car had an additional issue due to a previous mechanics repair on a completely separate area, but I had my car towed to the shop once again and Mike was there with me after 10PM to make sure he diagnosed the issue and put me at ease. Car is now working better than it ever has. Go to mike if you want an honest, affordable, and knowledgeable mechanic service!!!

Affordable rates, fast service and precision service from knowledge and experience. I had called in the morning around 11am and asked if they could replace my engine mounts and he said "bring me the car now and I'll have it to you by 6pm" so I did and Mike delivered on his promise. This is a great shop. I'm fairly knowledgeable on BMW, so when you bring in your BMW or whatever car, and you start speaking the language of mechanics talking about "guibo" and "flex shaft" understandably with Mike, then you can trust you found someone who knows what they're talking about. You can tell when you arrive at the shop that this is two guys who just love fixing German cars.

Called to ask a question about a repair, and the man on the phone rudely interrupted me to tell me he cannot program. He repeated I cannot program three times without letting me speak. They might do good repair work, I'm not sure. But they are rude as hell

I have found only one master German auto mechanic in Tampa. Sure, I could say something nice about the local Volkswagen dealer, ie Reeves Volkswagen. But sadly, Reeves is no more. You may have a newer VW than mine, but even so, if yours is 20years old, like mine, and you are the conservator of it, as I am, and care to keep it another 10years; whom can you trust to help you, in Tampa?
