★☆☆☆☆ REVIEW EDIT: as of 1/3/25 My fiat is leaking again! Who would have thought! Dude who replied to me and allegedly called me - never did. They reply to Every negative review like that but I never received a call. I figured I could just let it go since they did fix one of my issues with my fiat; the fact it was leaking oil. But alas. Back to square one on that. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Gilsdorf garage are a bunch of swindlers and liars as far as I’m concerned. Original review: I think Lisa is lovely and has always treated me with kindness. She’s great, thanks for everything Lisa. Also thanks Gavin for taking care of my Fiat, even though my goal was completely ignored/overlooked. I took my Fiat in starting in September of 2023. My goal: pass emissions with the Fiat. There’s a check engine light on, so it will auto fail. Probably due to an oil leak I was aware of. I ask team at Gilsdorf to do the diagnostic (about $250 or more for that) and tell me what all is wrong with it. Comes back and I have a list of all the things that need to be done for the Fiat; which includes the coolant reservoir, valve gaskets and some standard oil and filter replacement work. Fine. With labor and everything it’s expensive so I have to save up money for it. I come back in January saving up money for a few months. Now a part is back ordered and I have to wait. We go ahead and spend about $1k to get the coolant reservoir replaced and fixed up but without the missing part i still have an oil leak. Check engine light is still on, means no emissions because it will auto fail. So we wait. Nothing to be done about a back ordered part, it’s an import I get it. I’m not upset about the wait. In June we get a call saying the part is in so we drop the fiat off to be worked on. Now we come to today when I picked it up. Great, she drives like a dream, we pay our $1.8k bill for the gasket and oil replacement and away I go. Straight to emissions. Where my fiat promptly failed! This is obviously frustrating; guess it’s my bad for not saying something when we picked it up? But I just kind of figured if I come in September to start this emissions quest and by June all the parts are here and it’s “fixed” that that would included the ability to pass emissions! Now we have to come back and pay another $282 fee to see what’s wrong with it that it failed emissions if I want Gilsdorf to fix it. No thanks! I’ll take it elsewhere. All in all what work got done on my fiat was great. However not sure how them taking almost $4k from me over 8 months and giving me back a car that will not pass emissions when that is what I brought it in for in the first place is really “five star” service.
