I recently found myself needing my 4th new windshield on my vehicle. Of course they cost exactly what my deductible is, so it adds up in 18 months. Being new to the area, I decided to Google auto glass repair and came across Glass Doctor. I asked for a quote and they came back over 20% less than the national competitor I previously used. Well my install was today and not only did I get great customer service, I was in and out in 45 minutes. They even reset up my dashcam for me. Well unbeknownst to be, it comes with a warranty that to me is beyond generous and absolutely made the entire experience that much better. I will definitely be a repeat customer when the need arises.

contracted for a mirror to be installed for 1400 and gave a deposit of 701 march 24 2023. they refuse to install the mirror and won't return our deposit. The owners response that we are lying is funny as in the text messages he acknowledges that he has not done the work and continues to ignore our requests to do the work but asks us to take down our 1 star review. Check the better business bureau about this company.

Still can’t believe this. Got the quote to replace the mirror ($1400), we put deposit in ($702), after 2-3 weeks they let me know that instead of agreed quote for $1400 it will be $3000! Decided not to go with that price, asked for deposit back, the owner said he will try to get us that price. After he said he can’t do the job for agreed price, and it hard to return the deposit because he already ordered the glass. Wow After so many “I’ll call you back” he stopped answering phone, and the lady in the office was directing me to the owner every time I called saying he is the only one who can issue the deposit reimbursement.

I had problems with my windows for a very long time. I called Glass dr and Tony came out and figured out what the issue was. After ordering all the parts needed, my windows are working great! I thought I was going to have to replace my entire sliding patio door but Tony suggested something that would be a better and more inexpensive fix! The 2 gentlemen that at my house were so polite and clean. You would never know they were here except that my windows now work! Thank you Glass Dr.!

Ok, we have a leaded stained glass window that needs to be repaired and we called Glass Doctor. Hard to find someone to do this work. The owner came out, quoted a cost, took our $450 deposit and scheduled a fix date. Great, we felt good. Then the actual repair guy comes out and tells us he can’t do the work and that the owner was wrong about being able to do it. So… we call and call and call to try and get resolve and/or our $450 back. They never called back until I was able to raise the owner on text who told me he’d resolve it and never did. In fact, then ignored me - oh also had the gall to tell me that he’d hold our $450 as a deposit on future work?! I gave him the chance to make it right more than once and he did not. We never got our $450 back, so they basically stole it from us. Highly recommend stay away from this company with low character and values.

We had a great experience at the Grayslake location with a windshield installation. Due to a language barrier between the staff and my parents, Christina would contact me and communicate any and all information to keep us in the loop on everything with our appointment. She was very professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable with the entire process. The windshield installation itself was quick and my parents were very happy with the quality and service. We highly recommend this place and would gladly do business there again if the need arises.

Hire this Company to replace the door on my business and Nicole in the office kept me updated of any delays in the process which is a big deal cause normally companies don’t. ***Deceivable business*** A couple of years ago, I hired Glass Doctor of Grayslake, IL to replace a few broken window panels for a 20 year warranty. Within a year, the glass grid started falling off. I called them up, and they said the crew will come in 2 days. Then they canceled at the last minute to claim they are running out double-sided tape, but order is on the way and will reschedule the repair shortly once the order is received. For the next 8 or 9 months, I called them many times and the CSR came up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses, such as shipment being stuck in elk grove village, pandemic related supply chain issue and nothing they can do about it... Eventually I got hold of the "owner" and he said - sorry our warranty only covers foggy class and nothing else. Below is the exact warranty statement and you can make judgement on what it exactly means. "Size D - 20 Year Warranty" Beware of a few Glass Doctor tricks: - Vague Warranty statement for consumer who has no clue window repair details. Then they interpret it whatever they want. - One way email communication. Only ask me to send them an email and they never reply back or leave any written statement trails. Always talk on the phone and sound very respectful and courteous when giving you false statements.

1st class service for glass replacement. The glass Dr has a great reputation around Lake County for quality, trustworthy work. I had them replace three cracked double pane windows. They communicated throughout the process about the work being done. I highly recommend Glass Doctor. Update: They also do an amazing job on Car windshield!
