I have read reviews that they are the best in Fayetteville. If this is the best there is, we are in trouble. I called and asked for a quote to change my water pump. The lady told me she would get back to me. Well, she never did. I called, Toni asked me for the engine size. I told her there was only one size for that year. Toni then said she would get back to me, again she never did. Finally, I called, and she gave me a quote of $480.00 for the job. We took the car to Gomez Auto Service, the next day they told me it would be $980 for the water pump change. I blew up, why did the price almost double. Well, I was told we have to change the timing belt, which is also connected to the pump. How come when I got the original quote the water pump wasn’t attached to the timing belt. I said I would come to pick up the car, and they said it would be 95 dollars! I said why? all they did was open the hood and then check the computer to see what was involved in the repair. I took my car out of there and paid them the 95 dollars. They are rip-offs and thieves at this place, and all I can say is Stay away!!!!

I don't know if some of these reviews are fabricated or if they are only really good at trucks, but I will not use them again. At first everything was going well until they decided they didn't want to deal with a dealership or extended warranty. I went to get an oil change and a transmission replacement because the woman there said they do that type of work BEFORE I had my car towed in. Initially they said I only needed an oil change until I told them that my vehicle programming was updated and no warning light came on but it wasn't driving right, and the rpm got stuck at a certain speed and they checked out my transmission. I was told I would need a new transmission and they had to wait for the internet to start working again so they could look up possible ways of fixing the belt issue (I guess instead of having to get a brand new transmission), and then I was told they would not touch it because they were not trying to run into payment issues. I tried to reassure them that payment wasn't an issue but then they kept saying because it was a cvt transmission and they didn't want to deal with the dealership they would not touch it. I wish I was told that when I first spoke to the woman before having my car towed in. Not to mention there was oil on both sides of my car from the oil change and the man on the oxygen tank was not the friendliest.

Well the first time I used them they worked on my cargo van, the work was done and it was ok. I just took my van there and didn't hear from them all day, then the next day I called and was told I would hear something but nothing until I just went back and picked it up. All it takes is communication to let the customer know what's going on, and still haven't heard anything about what they truly found just was told it could be this and that disappointed in them this time

Good, honest service by competent mechanics. The price was fair. I felt that everything was clearly explained and no corners were cut. The owner is not only on site but works along side his mechanics. Very polite front desk. They don't have a website and most customers find Gomez by word of mouth which says how much a gem this place truly is! They don't need to advertise.

I drop my car off to get a diagnostic done because my check engine light was on and I also wanted an oil change and an alignment done. Work was done for said check engine light almost $1000 later only for it to come back on again the next day. I bring it back a few days later to get looked at again and for my alignment that wasn’t able to be done initially. I got no calls for update so I call them 30 minutes before they close with no answer. I need my vehicle for a 45 minute work commute and it would have been nice to know I had to keep my car there overnight.

Absolutely horrible service , they overcharge & price gouge, also try to steal your car from under your nose, Do NOT GO THERE, They wanted $380 for a Diagnosis & fixed nothing on the car, They are absolute Crooks, By far the worst Customer service, cursed & yelled over the phone & all because I refused service make sure you ask about policies & all because they will Get you, if they think they can, because I did not pay the $380 & him trying to negotiate it let me know something’s not right here, Just be careful, with these mechanics & I Repeat do not go here

AWESOME!! I spoke to them on the phone yesterday and dropped my car off first thing this morning for a coolant leak. They called my by 9:30, at the latest, and let me know what was wrong and how much it would be. They made my day!! I was told they would be able to fix it Monday, but got a call no more than two hours later letting me know it was ready. Only talked to them on the phone, but they are extremely nice and very professional. Will DEFINITELY be going there from now on.

They put used tires on my car for a reasonable price, although i cant remember now. The work was efficient, got it done in about 20 mins. I recommend this place for used tires. The reason for the 4 star is that they dont use any lifts so work is not going to be as fast as with your standard tune up shop, but for the prices i recommend it.

They are a top notch mechanical service center. The lady whom runs the office is so cordial, accommodating, knowledgeable, and she is downright a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I recently had almost $1000 worth of engine work performed on our vehicle, that pretty much saved it from the junkyard. We had a local nonprofit help us with the cost of getting our vehicle back in top shape. They went above and beyond helping to facilitate this process and we are so grateful for their empathetic and helpful manner in getting this done. What could have been a very lengthy and tenuous process was effortless and accomplished without any hiccups in the process. Thanks again for the best service in town in my opinion. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime, and without hesitation.

Brought my car in with an issue, was quoted $1100 as an estimate. That was more than I could pay immediately, so when I went to retrieve the car and decide what I would do, they backpedaled letting me know they guessed at some of the things, and it might have been less, which set off alarm bells. They charged me $117 for the estimate, which only bothered me because they didn't actually bother to diagnose the problem. So after I get the car home, my tow truck driver has a look at it, and without so much as pulling out a wrench realized that the problem was actually a $7 cap that was leaking. So not only did they charge me for a diagnosis they didn't fully do, what they did do was just wrong, and likely would have charged me $1100 for something that was easily less than $100. Only 2 possibilities, incompetence or scamminess. The thing they guessed at? I did need. I paid the tow truck driver $200 to do it all. Obviously his costs are lower, I don't begrudge them their prices, just the shadiness.
