So far most trusted and honest auto service Shop I have ever been. I brought my wife VW Touareg V8 had engine light and burn so much gas. After service done my wife notice has consumption dropped at least 1/3 and passed deq. Car now runs smooth. The cost for this service is much lower if u were take it to dealer! I recommend this place to my coworkers

Honesty, integrity, attention to detail, that sums up Good News Auto’s service. Ting has been a expert mechanic for decades at local Nissan dealerships until he decided to venture out and build his own business. Boy I’m sure glad he did as I’m just not in favor of going to dealerships when one can find a great mechanic nearby that charges reasonable rates. He’s changed out our Subaru Outback head gasket, done oil changes, transmission fluid changes and an alternator on my Odyssey. He also gives great advice such as noticing battery charge retention levels and brake pad levels and other things to pay attention to. I’ve been going to other great shops such as the one next to Best Buy In Town Lanscape Supply. Good News Auto is yet another one worth a try. This shop is getting noticed, I’ve seen folks talking about it on my company chat forums as well.

I’m always so pleased with Ting’s communication, honesty, and the swift repairs when I take my car into Good News. As I’m not much of a car person it is so helpful when he explains why something is off and gives advice as well as a heads up on things that may need work later vs things that need immediate attention. Recently I was having misfire problems with my Subaru and took it to another shop closer by me and was told that my engine would need to be removed to diagnose and work on it. Within the day that I took my car to Good News Ting had diagnosed it as an ignition wire issue, gave me a cost estimate, and fixed it. I will always bring my car here first from now on!

Ting - Good News Auto Repair - is the best !!! He is a Master Mechanic with many years of experience on a wide variety of makes and models of cars in a local car dealership before obtaining his own shop. I have used Ting for many years for all of my 2003 Camry's minor service (lube/oil, etc.) and major repairs (alternator replacement, catalytic convertor replacement, A/F Sensor discovery and replacement, etc.) Ting also serviced my daughter's 1998 Infiniti for many years until she replaced it for a new car. Ting has been very helpful and honest in correctly analyzing and advising me of problems. His prices are absolutely fair as evidenced by his expanded customer base which depend upon his work ranging from total motor replacement to brakes, electrical, or mechanical issues. I absolutely recommend him as long as you don't overwhelm him with work which would delay his ability to service my needs. :) Bill Manley

Ting (the one man band of Good News Auto) is an exceptional mechanic and a very conscientious human being. I can't actually fathom how he runs the entire business by himself, but this is clearly his passion. A very big deal: Ting voluntarily saves the old parts he replaces on your vehicle as standard ops and takes time to show you how and where they failed. This policy of customer education is one facet of the uncommon integrity he brings to every aspect of his business. He clearly enjoys helping people. Ting has won my customer loyalty in one single visit because of his honesty and strong communication skills. And whereas many other automotive shops will recommend / prescribe replacing parts and fixing things that have not yet become a priority, leaving the customer to either overpay prematurely or build an ambivalent feeling of mistrust, Ting is transparent and especially mindful in his approach to guiding repairs. If something isn't yet a priority to be replaced, he will put that fix on your radar but will also provide an honest assessment of how much life it has left. He clearly understands that most of us don't have a bottomless bankroll and need to prioritize the more crucial and immediate needs over the less time sensitive ones. As other reviewers have highlighted, he is a high integrity individual who charges very decent rates and brings a remarkable amount of knowledge and experience to the table. I'm grateful a family member recommended him to me and in turn I absolutely stand behind his highly ethical automotive repair business.

I really appreciate Ting's expert knowledge, excellent work and great customer service. We have been taking our vehicles to Ting at Good News Auto Service for all our repair and service work for several years and have always been very pleased with his conscientious and thorough work, and competitive pricing. We have recommended his shop to friends and family who have been pleased with his work as well. We had our 2006 Honda Odyssey in this last week for a timing belt and water-pump replacement, engine tune-up, oil change, tire rotation and pre-trip checkover. I can’t speak highly enough about “Ting” and his kind, easy, personal, affordable service. I’ve brought both of our cars to Good News Auto because Toyota Dealer next door recommended him highly the first time. I came back for an AC charge. He replaced leaky hose and front end of Explorer where it was hidden, changed a dangerously low oil level and I drove off with a bill as low as my car’s temperature.

I took my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder here. It was intermittently starting. I called the owner and stated my issues and what I have done and asked him if he was open to troubleshoot it. He took it upon himself to troubleshoot mind you it took a few weeks, but he was not just throwing parts at it. They actually found exactly the issue and did not replace anything extra. I have now put on 2000 miles since taking it to the shop, I really appreciate his work and willingness to troubleshoot a problem and not just replace parts.

I cannot say enough good things about Ting and Good News Auto (as well as Pace-Way). We have taken our three cars (Toyotas) to him for over four years. I have also recommended him to friends and family. He has done everything from routine oil changes to brakes, struts, alternators, belts, radiator, thermostat, and more. There have also been times that I have brought a car in because I thought something was wrong, only to have him look at it and confirm that there was nothing to be done - or provide a heads-up on work that should be performed in 6-12 months. I have been a customer at Good News Auto ever since Ting, an absolute mechanical wizard, took over the business at this location. I'm sure he is one of the main reasons my 15-year-old Toyota is still on the road. Most recently Ting diagnosed and fixed a complicated emissions system issue. Like his predecessor before him, Ting doesn't perform any unnecessary services or repairs, and he always charges a fair price. They say a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold. I agree.

My 2009 Honda Pilot encountered some issue and it start to flash the check engine light, VTM-4, and VSA. So I have it towed to Good News Auto Service. Ting did a good job to find out the problem, fix it, and charged a very reasonable price. He could have sold me much more services, as my car was not drivable. But he was honest. For this, he earned my business today and tomorrow, and for all my other cars. Highly recommended.
