I have a 2018 Silverado with a 6L80 that these guys rebuilt. Junior quoted me on the phone, surpassed all my expectations of timelines and even went above and beyond by also getting my truck tuned. She runs like a top. My truck was clean just as I left it and communication was great. Places like these still exist folks, give them your hard earned cash vs large conglomerates! I will be recommending this shop to anyone that needs transmission work.

Did a pre-purchase inspection for a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium to avoid buying a lemon. Jnr offered to inspect it - FOR FREE!!! Hooked up his scanning tool and took it for a test drive. Took my 2003 Escalade in a few months ago, it had zero oil leaks, and when I got it back, it was leaking from the rear main seal. I took it back for a hose hanging down from the transmission and asked about the oil leak and was told it was nothing they worked on or around. I took it to my mechanic, had valve covers done,, and replaced an oil valve on the back of the engine. They (Gresham transmission)broke, taking the tyranny out. It still leaks, and my mechanic says it's the rear main seal, and the transmission shop should have repaired that as part of the $3300.00. I contacted them and they said it's nothing they warranty even if they replaced it and it's not their problem. I now have oil leaking in my driveway that wasn't doing that before I took it to them. It's $1300.00 for me to have someone drop the tyranny to fix the rear main seal. I was told to avoid this shop but it was the closest to where my vehicle broke down. I will say I'm not happy having to deal with an oil leak I never had before them working on it and having to put out more money to fix something that should've been addressed when the tyranny was out as part of the service.

Will never use these guys again. After a flush and filter in Feb my transmission failed in Aug. Coincidence or not, the excuses flew why they were not responsible on a transmission that had 65K miles and had never been worked on. Tricycle repair - yes, transmission repair- NO

Finally a shop you can trust! Everybody and anybody listen up. These guys are honest and they know their stuff. This shop has been open for over 30 years and the same owner is here. They tell it like it is and they put in good parts and they won't put in anything they don't stand behind. They have a 2-year warranty and if they can't stand behind that they won't install any parts in your transmission. And the service and pricing have been excellent. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. They have worked on two of my vehicles and the service and quality has been consistent. They are also proactive. On one vehicle, there's a design flaw in that the computer is literally resting on top of the transmission which gets super hot. Over the years the heat fries the computer and then you have to replace the computer. They let me know about it ahead of time and they moved the computer to a safer location a number of inches away. Just one example of how they care about doing good work and are less concerned about making a buck on every transaction. They saved me future time and money by doing this.

Great experience and great results! Had the trans rebuilt on my 99 Tahoe, they were able to get me in within the week that I called and got me back on the road in 2 days. Gresham Transmission Center is the only place I will take my vehicles for transmission work. JR and his team are fantastic to work with. They do amazing work, and they do clean work which I appreciate as a fellow mechanic. They are approachable, they are realistic about your vehicle's problems, and they will work with you. My 99' Silverado needed a new transmission. JR and his team decided the best route would be to rebuild my existing transmission and use the original bell housing as a donor. It kept the cost down and gave me more options for things like a Corvette servo and a wide band conversion. I was able to not just repair, but improve my transmission. Thousands of miles later, its still shifting smooth as butter. Ive beat on it pretty good doing hoon stuff. Its reliable as ever. I have even towed with it just fine. My '96 Accord needed a transmission service. JR and his team did a great job with a drain and fill and took a magnet to it. They kept it overnight and drove it a few times to ensure it was the best it could be. I really appreciated that. It shifts smoother, and It doesn't stutter at 40mph anymore. He gave me a steal of a deal. I cant recommend this place enough. In the industry he is known from California to Washington and beyond for his talents. I first found out about JR and his team from another shop in Newberg. They recommended him over anywhere else for my Silverado transmission work. Great place to go to for transmission work.
