This place is wonderful. They are very thorough with their work. I was having some issues and I took it to them and they figured it out. And I have an appointment to take it in tomorrow actually!!! I would refer them to any and everybody. I know that when I leave my car with them, I don't have to worry about it because it's in good hands.

There are a lot of shops in NE Portland but you want to come to this one. The team over at Hal Jones is extremely professional but more importantly to me, honest. Find me another group mechanic who recommend you what is the immediate thing you need to get done and who don't try and upsell you on non-sense. They've been family owned 3 generations for almost years and it shows. Definitely coming back y'all.

Just found out after looking at my service invoice that the required work for our Honda Element's 110K service was not complete. Only found this out after doing my own research and calling to confirm. Was told mechanic discretion on what work to do, not what the factory recommmended; unbelievable, and so so disappointed. Check their work and beware. Would give them a negative rating if I could.

I needed the belts replaced in my car and they did so for a fair price and answered my questions with sound advice about additional concerns I had as well. Asking the right questions can be difficult with a lack of knowledge on cars but they were very nice and quick to answer. Great business!

My housemate recommend them to me because they are cheaper, honest, and reliable! The owner was nice and patient, I like his taste of fashion too lol There was a tiny problem on my way home after they fixed my car. He didn’t know why at that moment, but then called me about 2 days later on Sunday and told me what he found out!! While other stores asked me to change the break, he told me it is still fine, and explained to me why!
