fantastic experience. I had a bracket brake on my jeep axle, and Jakob (the owner, who expressed he’s been welding since he was a child) was able to weld it up for me in a couple hours and it looks amazing. I have complete confidence that it won’t break again! It looks better than the factory weld. Very very honest man, and very affordable prices!

HONEST, GOOD SERVICE. The best mechanic in North County!!! Honest and quality service. Everyone told us they couldn’t fix our old Toyota. Jakob fixed it and it runs amazing. Fantastic shop where your not just another number. The owner cares and is an expert. His diagnostics are so quick and accurate it allows you to save a bunch of money and time, which other shops would charge you for while they figure out whats wrong. I dont take my vehicles anywhere else

Took our 2015 KIA Optima Hybrid to Herzog Automotive in Escondido today to have our AC checked out and Jakob was such a pleasure to deal with. He is so very knowledgeable as he works on both Gas and Hybrid cars. He did a system check and recharged our AC and also found that the expansion tank and radiator was empty and had the correct kind of coolant delivered for our Hybrid. All this in a matter of no more than 45 minutes. We will definitely be taking our car to Jakob for any future automotive issues.

Dropped my truck off this morning with at 8:30am on a Friday (holiday weekend) with no appointment. Jakob was able to get me in, called me a couple hours later to tell me what the issue was and how much it would cost, have parts ordered, delivered, and installed, and my truck was ready by 1pm. Jakob also took the time to show me the old parts, and explained what went wrong and why. Outstanding communication, fair prices, and quality work. You really can't ask for much more. After calling around different shops I was referred to Herzog Automotive. Glad I found a seasoned professional mechanic because everyone can not work on Jaguars. Even though I made an appt to have water pump replaced, my mechanic in Covina, CA suggested getting my thermostat replaced too. Mr. Herzog was able to do them both but noticed the housing needed to be replaced and had to order it from dealer. Well, dealer discontinued part but he was able to locate it. Even though I had to leave my car overnight I felt it was in good hands. Mr. Herzog was very professional and communicated with me throughout the process. Personally, I believe things could have snowballed out of control if he had not been very knowledgeable and genuinely cared about my auto care. He ended up replacing coolant hose and manifold gasket. Jaguars are not easy cars to work on but it takes a masterful skilled mechanic to do the work. Did an incredible job and I plan on taking my Jaguar there if needed. I am back driving and car seem to drive better. Money well spent. Thanks again...HERZOG Automotive.

It was a pleasant experience, I am thrilled to find out that my car needed only the spark plugs and two of the coils. Which on the Honda dealership have told me, it need Head caskets, spark plug and so many other things and just to start it would be $7000 I am blessed and extremely happy that I found a very honest mechanic. As a woman who isn’t very knowledgeable about vehicles, I’ve unfortunately been put through the wringer before with unnecessary repairs and inflated bills. It can be incredibly frustrating and discouraging to feel like you’re being taken advantage of. Jake completely changed that experience for me.
