Took in my elder vehicle to get a few things looked over and fixed. Communication was clear and timely with David through the phone. He let me know what needed to get done sooner rather than later which included an alternator. Everything was done within a few days. I appreciate the honest hard work and affordability. Bonus was being able to support a local Asian operated business within our community. I will ONLY be coming here from now on.

Honest, Reliable, Affordable. I had my axel and sway bar replaced, and this is my second service at HiTech, an excellent family-owned auto shop. I requested a very specific service and when I checked back about replacing the entire axel instead to save costs, David was already planning on doing that for me. These folks are consistently reliable and provide quality service on my vehicle. They don’t take advantage or try to upsell me on things I don’t need to fix immediately, and are great about checking in when cost estimates increase. I’m not the most knowledgeable car owner and I’ve had poor experiences in the past with mechanics trying to take advantage of that; I never have to worry about this at HiTech. My car is running like a whole different vehicle! I’ll be back soon for more maintenance. After two excellent visits, these guys are the only shop I’ll have service my car.

Customer be aware of friendly faces and competitive pricing:- About two years ago I paid them $450+ to have the water pump replaced and do a coolant flush job on my WK1 Jeep GC, not to mention that my coolant system was never normal since but glad that the 3.7 engine survived their sloppy job, yesterday I did replace the water pump my self and found the root to their horrible work, below should summarize their negligence/ incompetence:- - Using excessive amount of Silicon on top the O-Ring which if it is not an incompetence then it is a bad practice, because you never use silicon with O-Ring - improperly torque the water pump in place caused clearance on the bottom portion of the pump and that clearance/gap was covered by the excessive silicon they had put on already and that occasionally introduced Air into the system and leaked unnoticeable amount of coolant. - improper Flush, the morning after they replaced and flushed, I had two color coolant fluid in the system; (OEM-purple and orange/red- after market) - bursting coolant fluid through the reservoir randomly due to the fact they never properly bleed the system out of Air and the clearance which was an ongoing event in the past two years. I have went back there at the time and confronted the older brother with their incompetence/ negligence but it would get me no where he'll justify everything claiming his younger brother have done it properly or leverage the fact that I can't do with out my car asking to leave it with them for couple days, and since I work at Lake Oswego, I have moved on with my life; lucky for them the engine survived. but when I replaced the pump yesterday it all came to me and I had to warn people about this place. If you like your car or you can't do with out stay away, if the circumstances put you on their doorstep, make sure that you verify their work with another mechanic and do what it takes to have do what you paid'em for properly

I had been having check engine light issues for multiple weeks, decided to take my car into hi Tec for a second opinion/ help. They threw everything they could into fixing my car, and were patient and polite. One week later, my car is fixed, they get my deq check for me so i don’t have to worry about it, and my car drives better than it has in YEARS. I can’t be more thankful :)

My AC went out on my GMC truck while I was in Portland and I did a search and found Hi-Tech Auto Repair. Ran the reviews and saw people saying how honest they were, unlike many shops that try to gouge customers who are not knowledgeable of auto repair. So I called and spoke to David who told me to come over and he'll try to get me cool again. Drove in and his father courteously directed me to park. They were very pleasant and David hooked up an automatic machine to my truck which did a vacuum test which it passed, and recharged my freon. While this was being done, David and I chatted about a few things. I spent about an hour but it didn't feel like it because of the chit-chat, and drove out with my AC like new. I highly recommend this business for your auto repairs! Thanks David and Lee.

Took my GS350 to a couple places to see if they can fix my rack and pinion. Took it to Lexus dealership and they quote me $4855 for parts and labor but I have to wait a week for the part and another week for labor. I pass on that. Took it to Toyota and they quote me $3890, plus they wanna do a diagnostic that cost me $100, and I still gotta wait two weeks out just like Lexus dealership. So I saw Hi-tach cause I live close by and decide to give them a text tell him what I need to be done. He quoted $2542 and the part will be here in a week, but the next day he texted me saying bring the car in, the part is here. Got it done in 2 1/2 day due to my car being too low to do alignment so I gotta take to the shop down the street. After I pick up the car, I took it to the mountain to test out the steering wheel and it felt like it’s brand new again, i’m happy with the result… for now. But over all great service, nice guy. I think his name is David. If you got any work that needed to be done give Hi-tech auto repair a call

I was in the area and stopped at 3 gas stations near this shop to use the "AIR" pumps only to find them not working, missing hoses, or simply destroyed. I had a heavy load and did not want to drive across the river without additional air in my trailer tires. I stopped in to Hi-Tech unannounced and asked if they could add air to my tires. I was willing to pay for them to do it, but the manager David Le went out to the shop, interrupted an employee doing something else and asked him to help me. The employee was very gracious and polite. He added air to all four tires which were low (my bad), and finished up with a handshake. I went back in and again offered to pay and the manager said "No need - Have a safe trip!" This kind of customer care is a long forgotten experience for most. THANK YOU to David and his Team.

Our car broke down and had to get towed, which was stressful as a new experience for us. My partner had her car serviced here before and had a great experience with them in that time, so we decided to go here for the diagnostic and potential repairs. I simply cannot understate how transparent and communicative they were throughout the entire process. They provided details and pictures when we needed help understanding what happened, texted and called when tricky matters arose, and even promoted the idea that we should check with our dealer for warranties that may cover the damage- even though that'd move our potential business away from them.
