Like every reputable body shop in the Portland area, Sharp has a backlog of work. But they gave me an appointment for an estimate, gave me a written estimate promptly at that appointment and gave me an appointment for the work, completed the work within the estimated 2 weeks, and worked seamlessly with State Farm. They also patiently answered my questions, including when I called to get an updated estimate of when the work would be done. The car came back cleaner than it has been since we bought it, and the repaired area cannot be distinguished from the rest of the original car.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable and great communication! They also worked with my insurance so I had absolutely no stress! Had to have a rental car during the repairs, so I was able to leave that at the shop and they handled the rental return for me, too! This is the second time I have used Sharp Autobody and they are top notch! Friendly, knowledgeable, and ethical. The tech needed for part of the repair on my RAV4 didn’t charge as per the estimate- and the saving was passed on to me. It would have been easy for Sharp to just fold that into their profit and I would never have known, but this company is ethical and my bill was lowered. My car also was washed and the interior clean as a whistle. This is the best company out there as far as I am concerned.

HORRIBLE experience. Took 49 days to do a less than 15 day job. Insurance said they needed a supplement for corrected labor hours (basically, WHY did it take so long). David, the owner, was as obstinate as humanly possible. This went on for MONTHS. Multiple phone calls, multiple emails, multiple visits to the shop. He would say he would do something, then not do it, while arguing about it the entire time. Over and over again. Rude to both me and my wife for no reason. He said that he has never submitted a supplement for corrected labor hours to any insurance company. I talked to my insurance company and they said this supplement is actually very common. In the end, he told the insurance company that "sometimes we get busy, so I set it aside" as the reason for the delay, so insurance denied the additional claim for loss of use. However, he had told me previously that part of the delay was because he ordered the wrong part and needed to wait for the correct part, in addition to supply chain issues. Thanks, David, for refusing to help and for repeatedly lying to us. I was referred to you by Tom Dwyer (great auto repair shop) and I told them of my experience with you. I hope it was worth it. I still have no idea what your problem was, other than not wanting to help your customer in any way. As for the body repair itself, an improperly installed door caused a hitch and a loud noise when opening and closing. Had to bring it back in to be fixed. Also the new paint color looks off compared to the original sections. These were the observable issues. I hate to consider what I can't see based on how they run their business. Oh, and when I asked if you only use OEM parts when I got the estimate, you said yes. Then, after it was done, I asked if you only used OEM parts and you admitted to using non-OEM parts. Unethical and maybe illegal?

I have brought my car to Sharp's Auto Body several times in the past 24 years. Amazing staff!! The office staff are friendly and warm and have remembered me throughout the years. They go above and beyond. I have a kayak rack on my roof and I could not find the key. They contacted Re-Rack and had a key made. My car left their shop shiny and looking brand new. This is the place I will always go to get my car fixed!!

Sharp Auto Body was truly a pleasure to work with: honest, professional, and friendly. My car was damaged by a dolly that came off a tow truck and hit my car. Although Sharp couldn't do an estimate right away, they did ensure that my car was safe to drive. They also worked directly with the tow truck driver to arrange payment for the damages. They did an amazing job of replacing the front bumper, cleaning up the scuff on the fender and matching the paint color. After they repaired it and gave it a car wash (even vacuuming the inside!), my car looks brand new. Since I had to rent a car while they were repairing mine, I was thrilled that they got the job done quickly and I was able to save some money on the car rental by returning it a few days early. This was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had working with ANY business. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed in the prejudice of the owner dealing with only certain vehicles. Refused to do my Toyota Truck because it's to old. I have referred him business to others in the past but has not only told me to take a hike not once but twice. His excuse he can't get body parts and l immediately showed him they are online. I will never do business with this operation and my word of mouth will be negative for anybody asking me for a body shop.

If you want a new car experience then this place is it, very communicative about where we were at in the process. We had a problem with a part getting in but they told me where it was at and always took my phone calls, I really appreciated how clean and detailed my car was when I picked up. Put a huge smile on my face and you can’t even tell there was a dent, felt like buying a brand new car again. I’m super happy and it felt well worth the price. Would highly recommend

Sharp Auto Body took THREE MONTHS to repair my car. They initially estimated $3K of damage but submitted multiple amendments to my insurance company, ending up collecting $9K to repair a 15 year old SUV. I usually had to call them for updates, despite promises by the manager, Dave, to keep me informed. (I think he was embarrassed.) They also lost my garage door remote. And as I drove home, the tire-inflation indicator went on. Les Schwab Tires found the sensor on the wheel most impacted by the accident to be faulty. I think Sharp means well, and perhaps they are fine for fender dings, but for serious damage, I cannot recommend them.

Sharp Auto Body is outstanding! Businesses like Sharp Auto Body & Paint are rare. After the collision, I took my car to Sharp for estimating the cost of the damage. Their customer service is exceptional and they do fantastic work. Dave and Mike are very friendly and professional. After examining my car carefully, they quickly gave me a detailed estimate report, explaining me the status of my damaged car with a honest evaluation and in a professional manner. Then they worked closely with my insurance company to get it done. I really appreciated this extra kindness. I was extremely happy with the quick work done and high level of customer service.
