I booked Josh at PDXInspections to inspect a used car for me, simultaneously as I was coming in from out of town on the train. He was extremely responsive, prompt, considerate, and helpful -- fit me into the schedule in a way that totally met my needs, and reserved a time slot for me even though I hadn't yet completed booking the service on the web. the salesman at Ron Tonkin Honda said he had never seen an inspector be this thorough. Josh found a number of issues with the vehicle and I was able to get the dealer to correct the significant ones before buying the car. Well done, sir !!

I used PDX Inspections today while buying (helping my mom buy) a used car from a private party. The inspection was very thorough, and response from Josh to my questions same day of the inspection were also thorough and prompt. You will likely pay more (and perhaps get more) than a dealer pre-purchase inspection, and this is way more convenient. I would expect sellers to prefer this too, and definitely less hassle to buy the car. Thanks to Josh for providing an excellent service.

I am so, so glad we went with Josh to check out a used car for us in Portland. The report he generated was phenomenal, and he was very helpful in promptly writing us back to explain pieces of it we didn't understand (we're not terribly car savvy people). Also highly recommend the video to any out-of-state buyers. He showed us every angle and detail of that car from front to back. The report also cued us into several things that WE wouldn't have even noticed had we been there in person! I wish there was one of him in every state! He's made it so now I only want to buy a car in Oregon so I can make sure his company has checked it out before buying!

I hired josh several months ago after finding the 4runner of my dreams. Only issue was that a several hundred miles away, with no way of going to see the vehicle myself, or test driving it. Josh to the rescue - he did SUCH a thorough inspection of my 2005, nothing came to us as a surprise upon delivery. If something came up in the weeks to follow, I would remember "oooh, Josh mentioned this". I was definitely skeptical at first with such a large purchase, but the detail in the report, and the timely follow up, put me at ease when it came to making the decision to pull the trigger on a vehicle purchase, sight unseen. Excellent pre-purchase car inspection service! I was able to book an appointment the night before for a Platinum inspection the following day. Communication with Josh was excellent - both through email and phone. I wasn't able to be present for the inspection but the report shows that he does a very detailed, high quality job. You get a very good idea of the condition of the vehicle. I was able purchase the vehicle with peace of mind, knowing there wouldn't be any "surprises" down the road. This is a very convenient way to get an inspection done instead of having to make a trip to a nearby mechanic (which may also have a conflict of interest) and at a fair price. I recommend this company and will be using them for future car purchases.

Excellent, personable, and THOROUGH service, with practical, no-nonsense and unbiased statement of facts. Oh, and timely - Signed up on Sunday for an inspection on Monday noon-ish, and got a half dozen page report with heat maps and all by Monday afternoon. Even the dealership staff where the inspection was done mentioned how professional and "a nice guy" Josh was. I definitely recommend to contact them before you invest thousands of $$ in a car.

Josh did a fabulous job of inspecting my recently purchased 2008 Toyota 4Runner. He arrived on time, very efficiently inspected every inch of my vehicle using some very nifty tools, explained his findings to me, and produced a very thorough report. I am buying a used car sight-unseen from out of state. Josh gave me more than enough information and photos to feel completely confident about what I am getting. He was very prompt to reply to my online request and communicated with me regularly throughout the process of scheduling the inspection. The dealer gave him a bit of a run-around -- "the car is here; no, it's there; it's not available today; call somebody else tomorrow." Josh followed through with them and kept me in the loop. He was very professional in his exchanges with the dealer and me. In fact, he has done a far better job communicating with me than the deal has.
