I've been coming to Arthur's Automotive for a few years now and overall I have been very pleased with their work and customer service. Initially it was just oil changes but more recently it has been transmission and A/C repair. Every time I take in my cars they give the whole car a look over since it is on the lift. Once they showed me a leaking rear damper/shock (with pictures), something I wasn't aware of. I tend to be skeptical with these situations and they didn't do any hard sell for me to have them do the work. I did the repair myself and now I also do my own oil changes. Things that I can't do or don't have the time to do on my cars I take them to Authur's.

Arthurs Automotive treats you right with honesty and respect. They give free estimates and care about the safety of you and there car. The owners and employees are amazing skilled professionals. Check out the art on the walls too. Something nice about location is a antique store and coffee shop is in short walking distance.

I had the best experience that either is automotive and authors. Automotive! I drive a 2006 BMW 330 XI And I had to have the starter replaced it went out And Arthur’s automotive fixed my Starter it had gone out and I was worried about where I was gonna go because I knew I did not want to go back to BMW to have the anything else repaired! I cannot wait till I’m able to return Two Arthurs automotive For my next vehicle repair, which is needs it to be now but I’m saving money at the moment for a repair a bad catalytic converter And I know after my experience with Arthur’s automotive That is where my vehicle will go every time it needs to be fixed ever since the very first time I had gone there I am the best customer experience. I would recommend anybody who is concerned or worried aboutgetting ripped off and going to an Auto place to get their car worked on. Getting ripped off and going to an Auto place to get their car worked on especially women Arthur’s automotive is the best place they won’t rip you off. They will only do the work that needs to be done and they will help you and anything you need about your car. They were great. They actually is went up to a boot with me for BMW and yeah they’re just they were great and like I said Arthur automotive is definitely where you go when you need your car fixed and you need to have it fixed without. worry of whether or not they know what they’re doing or whether you’re being overcharged they’re reasonable they do the job right and they do the job right the first time matter fact right now I’m hoping to save money so that I can get it back into author’s automotive for my Cadillac converter repair or replacement because it needs to be taken out at a new one be put in I believe that’s what’s wrong with my car right now and I can’t wait till the day that I’m able to return to Arthur’s automotive for my next automotive repair. Thank you Play the best customer service experience with auto repair services Arthur’s automotive are the BEST Automotive guys LOOKING FOR YOU AND YOUR SAFTY!!! Much much love to the guys over at Arthur’s automotive thank you My Kindest Regards, Rhonda Dougherty

I've been a loyal Arthur's customer for several years, which makes this disappointing to write. What should have been a straightforward heat/AC repair turned into four separate appointments due to poor communication and planning. Within these appointments, I experienced overbooking which resulted in them not even getting to my car, repeated delays due to parts, being left without my car for an entire weekend with no pickup option (even though my car was drivable w/o the heat/ac) and ultimately discovering that my camera and radio were no longer working after the repair, an issue they caused. When I returned to have that fixed, I also noticed I was charged for a part I never authorized, which they later acknowledged was an internal mistake and refunded. While I understand parts delays can happen, the lack of communication and consideration for the inconvenience caused was unacceptable. Although a small discount was applied when I asked for compensation, in my opinion, the amount did not align with the price I paid, the ongoing issues and unprofessionalism I experienced. I won't be returning to Arthur's and I can't recommend their services.

I got an oil change and had a seat belt fixed as well as had Arthur’s free auto check done. I appreciate their staff who are very attentive and knowledgeable. They’ve been taking care of my cars for several years now.

I've been to Arthur's multiple times and will keep coming back because their team is wonderful to work with, the mechanics are knowledgeable, and, most importantly, I can trust them! More than once the team at Arthur's have suggested I take car elsewhere because it would be cheaper and more efficient to have a specialized shop handle my specific car issue. I've had major repairs done here and they will continue to be my first stop for all our vehicles. I've even dropped off an RV once to replace some major parts and they made the process so easy and welcoming.

They offered to replace my EVAP canister for $800. The gal at the desk said it would be quick and that most of the cost is due to the price of the part. I declined, found the part for $180, and installed it with a wrench screwdriver, and pair of pliers in a little over an hour. Last honest mechanic? No no no...

Well, they certainly live up to their name! They certainly are the last honest mechanic. I was convinced I needed a new starter motor, so I purchased one from AutoZone, and brought it in for them to install. They did a diagnostic and told me it was just the battery! Any other mechanic would have installed the starter anyway AND charged me for a new battery. I returned the starter to AutoZone and saved about $800!

I strongly encourage looking elsewhere to take your vehicle - especially if you are a woman. This place is the epitome of a dishonest mechanic that will try and scam you by overcharging hoping you'll just pay the bill no questions asked. I took my Jeep here because it had a few codes pop up that were causing issues passing DEQ - they quoted me over $1500 for the repairs and on top of that said my power steering fluid was "completely dry" and the car had other mysterious "fluid leaks", bringing the grand total to $1900 not including the $145 fee just to look at it, so had I chosen to move forward I would have walked out of here spending more than $2000!! I have since taken my vehicle to another local shop and they were able to make the repairs for the codes (which ended up being completely different repairs to what Arthur's was telling me was the issue) and did an oil change for $400 and on top of that found my power steering fluid was completely fine and no other evidence of any fluid leaks or other mechanical issues with the vehicle. I've passed the DEQ, car is in fantastic condition and I saved $1500. All this to say this place should be ashamed of themselves for being so dishonest and telling customers straight up lies about their cars. Too bad for them I wasn't the dumb, clueless girl they took me for...

Brought in my ‘88 Chevy camper conversion and, even though they weren’t set up to work on something so big, the guys at Arthur’s were so incredibly helpful. Kyle custom outfitted a new inverter and the van is running better than ever now. Highly recommend!

After a few duds, I finally found my new go to mechanic! I just took my car in for a 100k mile checkup and change of fluids (transmission, coolant, etc). From the start everything was straightforward and transparent. The few things I was unclear on were explained perfectly when I called. The system their team using for communication and recommendations comes right to your phone/email with pics, videos describing the parts function, and an easy system to approve or deny. No up selling or mystery charge BS. Honest, clear, and easy to contact. Huge thank you to Shaun and Andria as well as the techs that did such a great job. Now my car is running like it did when I first got it and my only regret is not coming in sooner. I will be back for fixes and preventative maintenance from now on!

Great website easy to use. A week ago, I booked an appointment for this morning at 7, received an email confirmation of that appointment confirming it was an appointment and not just a drop off. Woke up at the crack of dawn, hauled myself and my car all the way across town, sat in their parking lot for half an hour. Emailed the person who sent the confirmation email only to get a bounce back. I am sorry if the one Web savvy person at your company left but you all really need to be able to deliver on commitments you make. If you don't have the capacity to handle online booking then you should remove that options from your web site. Will be taking my business elsehwere.

Had a 10:00 appointment for an oil change, was told it should be ready by 11:00 or 11:15. Came back at 11:15 and the car wasn’t in the bay yet. Was told it shouldn’t be too much longer, finally finished after noon. Good price but over 2 hours for an oil change?

The staff here is knowledgeable, super helpful, and kind. They didn’t condescend as I’ve experienced at other shops in the past, just offered a number of solutions to my situation with a genuine effort to mitigate financial impact. No upselling, no add-ons, and were able to get me fixed up and roadworthy in two days time, which included getting a part in from Seattle. Fantastic service. 10/10 recommend.

I brought my 2013 Honda in for a second opinion after having been told by the dealership repairs to replace sensors would cost $7000. A neighbor recommended Arthur’s Auto on SE 88th and they were able to diagnose problem and replace a grounding wire and the repair was around. $180.00! Honest and very skilled mechanics who have won a new customer. Very impressed!

I had a good experience here. Good communication. Work was done well and in a timely manner. I would go back here for routine maintenance: oil/filter, tires, alignment, etc. However, I was able to find a significantly cheaper local option when I needed my timing belt replaced (saved $500 going elsewhere). I’d like to clarify that Arthur’s seems to quote people fair prices and did advise me when getting my quote that they’d need to special order parts for my vehicle (Jetta), which would inflate the cost a bit. I appreciated their transparency, clarity and openness when answering questions. I never felt pressured when I expressed a desire to get quoted elsewhere. For what it’s worth, I chatted with a couple older, longtime customers in their lobby who said they’d been coming here for years and were always satisfied. They seem to treat repeat customers well and this seems to be a place where you could develop relationships with the people here overtime. While I would recommend Arthur’s to most car owners for most jobs - I would recommend Jetta owners find a shop that specializes in, or is more able to readily accommodates Jettas for more expensive, intensive work that needs to be done. Good shop, good work, good people. Just ask questions to find out if they are the best fit for the work you need done

After spending a lifetime using major car dealerships for service, I went on a mission to find an honest independent service facility to work on my vehicle. After researching, I selected Arthur' Automotive. This has turned out to be a great decision. They are professional, honest, and very service oriented. I asked that they go over my 2012 vehicle and give me an estimate for a 90k mile service. Unlike car dealers that want to charge $1500, they mentioned my car was in very good condition and only required a couple items to address. How refreshing to have a service center be upfront and honest. I have now found my auto service center for life.

It's so hard to find honest mechanics and if you are reading this you have found one. Chris was so caring and understanding and the office staff was incredibly kind. They worked quickly and did their best to find the best price and most efficient repair for my spark plugs and coils. They actually listened to me and followed through with what I asked instead of trying to upsell me and take advantage of a single woman dropping off a car. I can't say the same for previous mechanics I have visited. The work is excellent, professional and my car is running again. Thank you so much Arthur's Automotive. I will be back
