I have been going there for the past 15 years. Gabriel is the most reliable and honest mechanic I have ever met. I drive from Rancho Cucamonga all the way there. He is worth his weight in gold. Trust him 100%.

The best auto repair shop in Northeast LA! They are professional, prompt, and honest; Especially being a woman who knows absolutely nothing about cars, I know I’m not getting ripped off and I’m getting my money’s worth. My check engine came on and showed up with no appointment, but Yoel was kind enough to take me in ASAP (on his day off with a superstar). Gabriel is knowledgeable about car maintenance and helped me fix my brakes, A/C, as well clearing out the “bad” gasoline for my car. What a lifesaver! Shout out to Yoel and Gabriel for being so kind, patient, and welcoming! This is definitely going to be my “go to” auto shop from now on.

Dropped my car off in the AM before work. Left it there for breaks change and picked it up after work. Gabriel has been the mechanic of the family for years! I was a kid when we used to go and now I go for my own cars. The best and trusting mechanic and place to go to! Thanks guys!

I took my car to this place. I needed to replace my radiator. They want to charge me $300 for labor and $60 for 2 gallons of coolant. I had never done the job before but it took me 2 hours with no power tools and no previous experience. This neighborhood is not a rich neighborhood. I don't like being taken advantage of.

Honest, affordable and friendly place. A really good group of people running the establishment. I’ve gone in there for both body work and maintenance. Will take great care of your car and make sure you are getting the best deal for the best quality on whatever repairs you may need. Highly recommended. An honest, standup business.

I love this place - as someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars I completely trust and rely on them. They have helped me with last minute emergencies so many times and are always SO SO kind and understanding. The service is amazing all around and I recommend it to all my friends

Needed brakes fixed and found these guys outside of AutoZone. They gave me a good quote and the repair ended up coming in less than the estimate. Very easy to work with and I trust their shop to get the work done right whenever I come in now. Highly recommend.

Just got my brakes fixed. The Girl at the office was great and professional. If it was just that then there would be no problem. The person who fixed my brakes is named Gabriel and he first let me know that my brakes where fine and that the noise it was making were going to happen regardless and he would just charge me for the inspection, basically $35. I had asked him to change the brake pads regardless because it's ridiculous to even charge $35 for doing nothing. Honestly, it seemed as if he just didnt want to do the work. To my surprise, when I came back to get my truck--all of a sudden there was a screw in my tire. A screw. It looked as if it was grinded down not worn down. Note that it was still loose. Typically when there's a screw or nail it's been tightened down through the constant wear. It seemed sketchy and honestly the guy gave me a bad feeling when we interacted initially. Just be weary of this person if you can. Wasn't really expensive from the initial cost and the screw won't be too expensive to patch. Quite frankly, I was under the impression Gabriel didn't want to do the work. I personally don't like working with unprofessional and shady characters. That experience was unpleasant at the very least.

I have taken my car a few times to the auto repair. They are very friendly people and always give good deals compared to other auto shops and dealership. They give quick and efficient service and help you with any questions you have. If you want great customer service and a great pricing on oil change and other services, this is the place to go. Definitely will keep coming back to get my car serviced here.

Worst auto repair I ever went to, besides being so umfriendly and threating me really bad just because of my skin. Also after asking multiple times to check the whole car they didn't do it and the price was way too much.

This shop is tucked away in my neighborhood in Highland Park, but it’s no wonder why they are always busy. I don’t mind being patient for the kind and careful service that they provide. It is worth the wait when I am able to observe first hand that the care and attention they give to each client is consistent and fair. As a woman, it’s not common to feel safe or taken care of in an auto shop setting, but the entire team at Highland Auto did well to ensure a good experience for me from the moment I drove up. I feel that I can trust this team, and that they would look out for me like a caring neighbor.

This shop charges a $150 an hour. When I asked how many hour. They worked on my car for they said four hours. But charged me 750.00. They lost all my bolts and washers to my wipers and cowl. When I arrived my windshield was cracked. And my belongings were stolen inside of my car. Gabriel was very smug and suffers from short man syndrome. Mechanic was very aggressive to me speaking spanish when I told him my car is not complete and has been damaged, along with broken into. You've been warned not to come to this shop.

These guys are great. I highly recommend them. They drove me to get parts as my car wasn't working. Took care of my car in less than a day after I ran over a rock and put a hole in my transmission tray. Also replaced my break pads and rotated my tires for me.

🌟FANTASTIC SHOP!! Thanks Diego 👍👍 JUST remodeled. Found this place today when my car battery died 1 block away. I called Autozone and they offered absolutely no help at all and tried to sell me a $129 portable battery jumper when they are usually $40 on Amazon. Found Highland Auto on Google maps and called. Diego offered to help without hesistion, and even WALKED OVER to my car with a portable battery! Incredible service with honest prices. I wish this business the best and SCREW AUTOZONE

what a Rip Off, i was told over the phone that there were not going to be a cost to get an estimate, I then went in and talk to the same exact guy over the phone, and he confirm no cost for estimate diagnostic, i went to get some tacos across the street and came back 15 minute and they told me it's the catalytic converter, and they say they do not do catalytic converter and the cost for the estimate is $35 and told me to go to a muffler shop. I was pretty upset but paid the $35 anyways. Then I went to the muffler shop that they told me to go to and the muffler shop ask if they diagnostic it then which catalytic converter, i went back to ask which one but highland auto repair said they dont know. Now i have to pay the muffler shop a diagnostic fee as well to see which catalyc converter it is. STRAIGHT RIP OFF SCAM, BEWARE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE
