I recently had the experience of dealing with Joe and the crew at Hills N Dales Auto. All I can say is “fantastic “. I met with Joe on a Thursday and asked about getting my car in for some major service. I had checked with my local mechanic first and was told he couldn’t get me in for 7 days. I was going to be out of town on Friday- Sunday and not in need of my car. Joe told me to have it at the shop on Monday at 7:00 am. I did. They shuttled me to work. When Kyle called me with the estimate he said they would try to have it done by closing time at 6:00, but if it wasn’t they would give me a loaner to drive home - I live an hour away but work in Canton. At 5:00 he called and informed me the car was done, and he made arrangements for the shuttle to pick me up. Great customer service and workmanship. I strongly recommend Hiil N Dales Automotive for automotive work. Thanks!

I have taken many vehicles to Hills and Dales Auto over many years. They have been able to service all of them with efficient mechanics, quality parts at excellent prices and courteous staff. I like the fact that they have a shuttle or loaner cars available if work takes a long time. They are very knowledgeable and make the diagnosis of a problem with accuracy. As a woman, I especially like their willingness to explain issues and allow me to check out the parts and know what is being done. I appreciate the respect they show and their superb assistance with any work I have brought to them. I strongly recommend their business!

Eddy and his team at Hills & Dales Auto are absolutely fantastic!!! (THANKS AGAIN!!) Twice now, we’ve had vehicle problems and had to drop our vehicle(s) off in the evening (using their key drop and provided envelopes). Both times, we have received a call in the next morning (with a fair estimate), THEN our vehicle has been ready later that SAME DAY! Upon completion, there were no surprises; the final bill has been EXACTLY what we were told in the morning. Our family can’t thank Eddy and the crew at H&DA enough! From one family to another, if you’re needing vehicle repairs in Stark County (Canton, OH), check them out! You won’t be disappointed!!

Absolutely ridiculous. $150 for diagnostic testing? $900 for SPARK PLUGS?!? This is routine maintenance on a GM CAR. This place overcharges by an arm and a leg, absolutely avoid. There’s a thousand better mechanics that WON’T rake you over the coals. Stay away. Editing for receipts since the owner wants to misrepresent the work that was quoted. This place, at best, is extremely overpriced and at worst completely scamming unsuspecting drivers.

I need a lot of work on my car according to another maintenance shop. I called Hills and Dales Auto because I’ve heard great things and requested an estimate. I was told they don’t do estimates over the phone and I have to come in. Which is slightly inconvenient but at the same time I understand. I was told by one maintenance shop (after a routine oil change) that I needed rear shocks , new tires and an alignment and it would be a lot of 💰 When this place checked out my car they also discovered my front left ball joint and suspension control arm needed replacing as well as my front brakes on top of everything else. (Let’s just say I’ve been hearing a noise that I may or may not have been ignoring 😄) I’m a woman and my first concern was they were like “oh she’s a woman and doesn’t know anything about cars so here’s all the things you need because you don’t know about cars” but after the visit I had one of my best car maintenance friendly friends check out my car based on what they said and he confirmed I did actually need these things done. Which kind of sucks haha but also a good thing. As much as I would have loved to get all the work done here, it was honestly too much for me. They quoted me a little over $3000. I literally got my quote , got in my car and maybe got a little emotional on my way home because 🫠 everything is so expensive now. I wonder how much this would have cost in 2012… Long story short. They are very kind, thorough and empathetic. If you can afford it, I recommend this place. I waited maybe an hour for them to check my car out to confirm I needed what this other place “said” I needed done to my car. They also have a nice waiting room (magazines and an abundance of drinks like sodas, coffee, water) When they were done the guy sat down next to me and told me my car was driven around and checked thoroughly. He explained to me what I needed maintenance on , why I needed the ball joints done immediately like that was #1! He emphasized it because it was a safety hazard. After going down a rabbit hole online after the visit, I get it and haven’t really driven my car since until it’s fixed here soon. I probably called this place 2-3 times that day with questions and luckily I got the same guy that was familiar with my situation. I can’t remember his name but he was so helpful! Thank you! This place is genuine and they are so kind. I highly appreciate and recommend this place 100% Thanks again for being so wonderful. I’ll definitely be back because I honestly felt like they cared about me and had my best interest at heart. Thanks again! Also FYI: Just one frustrating thing that maybe not everyone has to deal with but , I work 8-4 so I was trying hard to get an appt between 7am-8am or 4pm-5pm because their hours on Google say 7:00AM - 5:30PM currently. When I called to try and make an appt I was told the technician (or whatever they called the person that would be inspecting my car) doesn’t come in until 8Am and isn’t available after 4PM so keep that in mind. I had to make it work. I mean I’m glad I did but just an FYI for anyone with 8-4 jobs.

@@@Update Repair on my 2018 Yukon Denali, had a check engine light, brought it in, Steve and the mechanics diagnosed a injection system fault, ordered the OEM parts and in a few days my Denali was back to new! The TEAM at Hills and Dales are EXPERTS and Thorough. Going here for a few years. Always top notch EXPERT SERVICE. I have never questioned the EXPERT OPPION on the repair. Trust them for all my automotive work.

As usual, Hills and Dales Auto goes above and beyond the “norm” in doing their job. Recently I had them swap out my Jeep hard top and install a new soft top which they did perfectly. They took the extra time and effort to wash and clean the Jeep as well which I did not ask or expect them to do. What a nice surprise and bonus!! They are true professionals with a great work ethic and are more than fair in their compensation. They are honest and do not gouge their customers which is becoming a rarity in today’s world and is what keeps me going back to them for all my cars needs.

Made online appointment to have brake hoses replaced. It's a couple hours job. Arrived first thing in the morning and was asked if I needed it back that day. Was told they are slammed. If you have available appointment times on your website schedule you should be able to get a simple job done that day or at least call the customer before they arrive early in the morning to drop off the car and inform them. Won't be back. 2025 and businesses can't pick up the phone??? RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT: There was nothing "nuanced" about the worked I asked to be performed in my online scheduling comments. It was a couple hour job to replace factory rubber brake hoses at the calipers with stainless steel brake hoses and bleed the brake system. That's exactly what it took a shop down the road from you to do it in as a "walk in" that very same morning, a couple of hours. If you're so booked up as to not be able to do a couple hour job same day YOU should communicate with the customer in advance so they do not have to waste a vacation day to get service from your shop.

Amazing and quick service! When my tire went flat and I didn't know where to turn to, Hills & Dale's auto care had my back. Not only did they put me at ease during a stressful time, but they ordered my size tire, had it there in 10 min, and was in and out within 30! Phenomenal customer service from beginning to end and the tech that fixed my tire was through and made sure I was safe to get back on the road again. Will be using this hidden gem business over diehl from now on! Thanks for saving my sanity hills & dales auto care!

A few years ago my car wouldn’t start, they said “we’re not fixing it unless we fix everything that’s wrong with it” and gave me a 2,000-3,000 estimate. I told them not to touch it, had it towed out, and I figured it had something to do with the little oil leak on my car, so I instacarted oil and that literally fixed the issue. My car is still running today after a $50 self-fix that this shop “wouldn’t touch”.

I took them my car and asked for a smoke test. They refused to do it because the check engine wasn’t on. I explained that the check engine comes and goes, he told me that because of too many scammers they can’t test a car without the code being on. I guess I was trying to scam them? I don’t know. Never going back.

My son and I were changing the rear brakes and rotors on his 2013 Hyundai Tucson when we had a bolt break off in the caliper bracket. We were referred to Hills and Dales Auto Care who were able to extract the bolt shaft and replace it with a new bolt.-we had problems finding a replacement bolt at auto parts stores. In addition, they reconditioned the brake caliper pins, as they had frozen, and made sure everything worked properly. Joe and Steve were friendly, efficient and upfront about the service and process plus the cost was very reasonable!
